When I was a kid in the mid seventies I was ten years old. My father drove truck for a company that hauled a lot of electronics. He took me to a place in Toronto for a delivery and Ric Emmett, Neil Peart, Getty Lee and Kim Mitchell were jammin. Three years later I seen Max Webster then Triumph became my favourite band but seen a lot of Rush, Triumph and Max Webster a bunch of times. Triumph is still my favourite band as Rik Emmett is top five guitar players in the world.

Today is May 1st and at the end of the month it's going to be the 40th anniversary of the 1983 US Festival.
It would be able to talk two other people that were there.

Glad you liked this so much Rebeka. Great choice for those who voted for this one. From what you put up on the screen about the inspiration for this song.
Fight The Good Fight is a band composition with lyrics by Emmett, who was inspired by his aunt, who was dying of cancer. "What can you tell someone who is facing the last challenge of this life?" he said in a interview. "Or - what will you tell yourself? If you're in a rock band called Triumph, what message can you share with the people listening to a song on the radio, or standing on their chairs, out in an arena? Everyone gets to decide what their own 'good' fight will be, but everyone should be encouraged to discover it, and do it."

Gil Moore sang really good and pounded the crap out of those drums!!!!! Mike Levine was no slouch when it came to stage presence and getting the crowd motivated to stand up and cheer and raise their arms up in the air!!!! Triumph were from Canada and broke big in the late 70's and early 80's in the arena rock genre... they shared a few traits w/ fellow Canadians Rush - they were a rock trio and wrote about fantasy. Unfortunately, they suffered some setbacks in the 80's and 'creative differences' which led to the band's split w/ Rik (Rick) Emmett (vocals & guitar)... Triumph released 1 album in the 90's w/ Phil X (guitar), but the commercial failure led to them disbanding soon after. Phil X eventually replaced Richie Sambora (guitar) in Bon Jovi...
Triumph did reunite the original band after 2000 for select shows after 20 years apart - Rik Emmett (vocals & guitar), Gil Moore (vocals & drums) and Mike Levine (bass & keyboards)... but Triumph has been permanently retired since.
More Triumph songs - "Somebody's out there"... 'Lay it on the line'... 'Never surrender'... 'Hold on'... 🤘🤘🔥🔥

Rebeka, i like the fact that you don't pause in the middle of the song, you let it play out then you react...keep up the good work.

Was a fun little rock-n-roll weekend with a 100,000+ of your closest friends. I was 3 rows back Center Stage. Never ate so many hotdogs, and drank so much lemonade.

The live show was from the US Festival '83, day 2. It was an amazing and infamous festival because over 13 people died at that show mostly from being trampled by the stampede of people racing to the stage or from the over 110° heat.

One of my favourite concerts of all time I saw them play rock and roll machine front row at Mohawk College in Hamilton Rick Emmets singing and guitar playing were truly an incredible sight embedded in my brain for eternity i can still feel the power and the flash pods going off 40 yrs later lol. By the way you would be an awesome chick to go to a concert with and very pretty.

Their US Festival 1983 Set is even better. An amazing guest Set at that show.
