I agree she was miscast. She wanted the role so bad that she uses her clout and celebrity to get it and forse everyone else out so matter how good they were but she did a masterful job singing the song. She is magical and oozes emotion. Thanks to you Diana our whole world has a meaning.

Secondly, Diana put everything together and that included the players, such as Michael Jackson, and the funding, so Berry could not even tell her no, cause it wasn’t his money. Diana had every right to play this role and create this ‘inner city’ version.
