Very comprehensive video. I need to incorporate more herbs into my root chakra (Earth element) practices.
Sunday is my favorite day to honor this element. The colors red and brown are very important to my own particular practices. I typically wear these colors on Sunday.
Closely associated is the crown chakra (pinned above) as paired with the root chakra (pinned below). It gives me a great sense of strength and security to incorporate colors maroon and/or magenta/hot pink when securing the root star chakra to the root chakra (red and brown).
Gaia and Ceres are my goddesses of choice for this element. When meditating towards the north, I envision these goddesses manifesting to bless the soil and send energy anchors from below(Gaia) and above (Ceres/the Lady) to secure and ground us to the planet. I envision abundance and fruitful harvests to feed the planet while giving thanks.
Red and white candles burn throughout the day for as long as they are so inclined. I wear a red cape, brown shirt and pants, hot pink bandana, earth shoes, and carry a walking stick while in the high desert. I also wear garnet and carnelian and carry hematite or onyx. And I've gotten some looks from people too but just smile and nod or say hello. These are the best of times. I love it.

I watched the video premiere, but then went straight to sleep.💤 I struggle with insomnia, you know. I wanted to comment the next day. But the fact that I did not comment immediately was to blame for my mother's health condition, which suddenly worsened (Atrial fibrillation as a result of heart failure and clearly her age).😰 I've had an intense week with exactly what you're talking about from 16:36 onwards. With Gaia, meditation, visualization, manifestation, protection and requests for her health. I put a lot of energy into it. It drained me, so I had to recharge.

Capricorn here, no great career, im a carer for my husband since his car crash. I have had to fight hard for our current stability and succeeded so far, praying most days and looking for the replies. Thats the bit some people forget. Praying is a two way conversation. It helps.(spellcheck struck again)

I pick roses off my bush, dry them out and lay the roses on my alter. I also have some dirt that I saved from a mystery crystal dig bag I bought that I ground myself with when I can't get outside.

i seem to be drawn to lightning, every thunder storm that arrives i always have the urge to go outside and look at the sky. so a few years later a made a staff dedicated to thor and balder and named it eldingaldr(lightning magic in elder futhark)
Absolutely love this! I am an earth sign and some of the stuff i have done without even thinking about all goes along with it. Also named one of my baby goats Persephone this year. I spend a lot of time outside snd with the animals, grow herbs and am a crystal addict. Thanks for all the info!
Thanks for your reply. I certainly agree about starting in the North as I have read this in a few different traditions. I think I remember Robert Cochrane putting the Stang in the North and starting from there when he was casting circle. There are so many different traditions out there and sometimes it is hard to keep up with them. On question I would like to ask is this: I have read that we should not use iron or any other metal in the Circle as this offends the spirits and the fairies in particular, is this true or is this a load of nonsense? Please let me know.
Cochrane Craft doesn't associate North with Earth.... He associates with South I think. Which is ridiculous to me. But regardless.
You can use iron in the circle it's fine. I personally use not only an Athame as a ritual tool, I also use a sword.... Both iron.

I also have a request. I've been solitary for majority if not all my time as a witch. I've just recently been interested about 1st 2nd and 3rd Degree Witchcraft. Can you do a video on that? I know theres a lot of fluff out there. I've even read about witch queens, is that possible? Please please set these thoughts straight. Bright blessings! 🙂❤
So what your calling 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree Witchcraft is actually just a degree system within British Traditional Witchcraft. British Traditional Witchcraft, or BTW is any lineage of Witchcraft thats traces its roots back to the Newforest Coven in England. Examples are Gardnerian and Alexandrian. These Traditions incorporate a degree system of training. A Witch Queen is a real thing yes. A Witch Queen is a Witch (woman) who has brought another woman all the way to 3rd degree, and that student now starts her own coven and she Initiates a student into the craft. In essence making the original Witch a sort of Grandma, if you look at it like that, and becoming a Witch Queen. For a man it's called a Magus.
Question that's loosely related to the content of this video. Do you feel as though the direction in which a person sleeps (head pointing North, East, South, West) is impactful? I've read, heard, experienced different things and I'm wondering what your take on this is...

The Element of Earth is not always in the North. Earth is where in Nature there is a large body of Land and this could potentially be in the East or West or South or any other Direction on the Compass Rose. This goes the same for the other Elements of Water, Fire and Air. But I am not saying that Earth cannot be in the North I am just saying that there are other possibilities too.
Anyone can put them anywhere they want. Traditionally Earth is associated with North. Wicca, witchcraft, and many other pagan or neopagan traditions draw upon a set of ancient and diverse symbols, associations, and elements that have evolved over millennia and have been shaped by various cultures, mythologies, and spiritual practices. The association between the element of earth and the direction of north is one such tradition, and its origins are multi-faceted. Here are some reasons for this association:
Ancient Symbolism: In many ancient cultures, the cardinal directions had specific symbolic meanings. The north was often seen as a place of mystery, darkness, and depth. This ties in well with the earth, which is deep, grounding, and nurturing.
Celtic Associations: Much of modern Wicca and neopaganism has roots in or takes inspiration from Celtic traditions. The Celts associated the north with the land of shadows or the land of the dead, further connecting it with the grounding and mysterious qualities of earth.
Astrological and Celestial Observations: In the northern hemisphere, as one faces north, the earth's rotation gives the illusion that the sky is rotating around the North Star or Polaris. This fixed point in the sky could be seen as representing stability and grounding, much like the earth element itself.
The Wheel of the Year: The north's association with winter and the time of greatest darkness, coldness, and introspection also links it with the element of earth, which symbolizes introspection, death, rebirth, and the foundation of life.
Practical Aspects: When conducting rituals or ceremonies, the north is often chosen as the starting point or place of grounding because of its association with the stabilizing and foundational aspects of the earth element.
Alchemy and the Classical Elements: The classical elements (earth, air, fire, and water) have been significant in many traditions, including alchemy, for thousands of years. Each element is often associated with a direction, a color, a season, etc. The north and earth pairing is part of this larger system of correspondences.
