Bill wasn't the best bass player...Hell Bill wasn't even the best bass player in the Rolling stones...
Keith played the bass on most of their biggest hit records....Bill then had to learn them so he could play them in live performances.
      True story.

In the real world the four member band formerly known as the Blue Boys WAS the Rollin Stones with two new guys recently added .
On July 12th 1962 they first performed at a paying gig at the Marquee Club in the Soho area of London.
Brian "recruited" exactly one sixth of the Rollin Stones, Ian Stewart.
Mick and Keith, Dick and Tony remained members of the Blue Boys until they changed their name to the Rollin stones shortly before that performance where they ALL performed as the Rollin Stones.
Mick and Keith had been trying to "recruit" Charlie, for nearly a year, but as Keith noted they couldn't afford him. Charlie was married and he required the steady gig he had with Blues Incorporated, Alexis Korner's band at the Ealing Club.
When Dick Taylor , the Stones bass player quit the Stones, the entire band advertised by word of mouth that they needed a new bass player and Bill auditioned and got the position in mid December of 1962...Six months after they began to play clubs as the Rolling Stones.
In January of 1963 Blues Incorporated broke up and Charlie asked Alexis what he should do. Alexis told him to "Go with Mick's band because they always wanted you and you will do well with them". By then the Rolling Stones were regularly playing out and had the steady work that Charlie required. So he just joined without any "recruiting".
Jones and Ian JOINED the Blue Boys and Brian had only "recruited" Ian and no other member of the Rolling Stones.
That is the timeline and a factual account of how the band formed.

I was going to write something unflattering after the ' body count' in Stone Alone lol.
If you came from his bleak world into the mayhem of what the Stones created its understanable is all I'll say.
However, back in the 70's when they had conquered virtually every music style they really pursued a more funked up approach. Stevie Wonder's percussion and keyboard extraordinaire Billy Preston kicking it up notch - watch those 70' s shows and Bill is there with cool bass lines.
And Billy had the latest synthesizer which no one else could play.....watch the LA Forum gig closely..when Billy gets up to do his thing guess who jumps on his synthesizer first lol?
And the Jumping Jack Flash riff... created on piano by Bill.
Just keep the cameras away from him lol

Bill Wyman WAS NOT A MEMBER OF THE BAND, when Mick, Keith and Dick Taylor founded a blues band, in 1961 , that would become the Rolling Stones..
Bill Wyman WAS NOT A MEMBER OF THE BAND, when Keith Mick and Dick Taylor made all those recordings that sounded impressively like the later Rolling Stones with Micks unmistakable song style and Keith's eclectic rhythm and blues accompaniment.
Bill Wyman WAS NOT A MEMBER OF THE BAND, when Jones was unsuccessful at starting his own band and asked Keith if he and Ian could join the Blue Boys.
Bill Wyman WAS NOT A MEMBER OF THE BAND, when Keith said yes and let them join his band...
Bill Wyman WAS NOT A MEMBER OF THE BAND, when Alexis Korner suggested to Mick that Rollin Stone would make a good name for his band one evening at the Ealing Club when Mick and Keith sat in with Blues Inc., Alexis band.
Bill Wyman WAS NOT A MEMBER OF THE BAND, when they got their first real club gig and they all discussed changing their name to the Rollin Stones..
Bill Wyman WAS NOT A MEMBER OF THE BAND,. when they debuted at the Marquee Club as the Rollin Stones.
Bill wyman WAS NOT A MEMBER OF THE BAND, when Dick Taylor played bass for the Rolling Stones at the Marquee Club that night.
Bill Wyman WAS NOT A MEMBER OF THE BAND, When Brian promised that he could get them gigs because he supposedly knew all the club owners but failed to do so handing that job over to Ian Stewart and others. Bill Wyman WAS NOT A MEMBER OF THE BAND, until late in 1962 , almost 1963 after all these things occurred. Why should anyone believe anything Bill Wyman says he remembers when at the time he was on the other side of London playing bass for another band the Cliftons and he didn't even know anyone in the Blue Boys OR the Rolling Stones?
All the events I have cited here are easily tracked down on line, many of them coming from Brian Jones's own words. I was not there, true. But I believe the guy who was there,, Brian Jones...Why don't you?

The only one who threw a fit was Bill. After convincing many journalists and book writers and much of the local press with his big lie that Brian had founded the Stones the cocky bastard thought he could just as easily manipulate the Dartford town council by saying, to the press, that the plaque was "disgusting".
The head of the town council, Jeremy Kite and the local Historical Heritage organization took Bill's claims under advisement and they even announced that they would change the wording on the plaque to keep everyone happy ...All the press made big news of their concession.
But when the officials held a hearing on the matter and looked into the historical record of who were the first members of the original Rollin Stones and just who organized all six of the first members, the council concluded that Bill's claims " held no water" and that the plaque's wording was accurate, correct and required no editing or changes.
"Mick Jagger and Keith Richards ... went on to form the Rolling Stones..." remains the wording on the plaque.

    • @Melissa69-shh

      @williardbillmore5713 4 дня назад

@@Melissa69-shh It is a matter of historical record. Throwing a fit seldom sways elected officials as Bill soon came to learn.
Keith and Mick officially remain the formers of the Rollin Stones and Bill apparently remains..." disgusted" that the town's elected officials didn't swallow his fit of lies about a band he wasn't even in at the time they were formed.
The Rollin Stones were the four Blue Boys plus two who had recently joined just before their debut performances ... The band formed and founded by Mick and Keith the year before.
Your fit here can never change that historical fact either.

How can anyone in their right mind say that Brian Jones "founded the Rolling Stones when their debut performance at the Marquee Club On July 12th 1962 consisted of the band called the Blue Boys, Keith's band that had been founded the year before. They had changed their name and they added two new players Brian and Ian Stewart but the rest of the band was Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Dick Taylor on Bass and the drummer Tony Chapman.
The performers on stage that night were the entire Blue Boys band, Keith's band.
The only group Brian Jones ever founded was the 27 club.
It is all a myth and a lie to say that Brian Jones founded the Rolling Stones.

Bill was never the best bass player.Hell, Bill wasn't even the best bass player in the Rolling Stones. Keith played bass on most of their biggest hits.
Lets not forget that the main reasons Bill was allowed to join is because Dick Taylor left the Rolling stones to start his own band .Bill always had cigarettes for everyone and he had a coupe of spare amplifiers they could use

Please tell me, between Keith and Brian who was the best guitar player when the Rolling Stones came into being?

@@Melissa69-shh When they met Keith had been playing guitar in every genre of music, from classical, to pop, to jazz for about ten years Brian on the other hand had been playing guitar for less than three years, getting his very first guitar for his 17th birthday and he had limited himself to memorizing only a handful of one type of American blues tunes.
Jones spread himself thin playing saxophone harmonica and keyboards, where Keith dedicated all his talents to one instrument, the guitar.
As their music branched out into pop and rock songs, Keith had to teach Jones almost everything he did onstage and in the studio. Jones had very little feel for rock music because he never played it on is own.
