Great video! I love hearing about great fragrances that don’t get much love. I had a sample of Petra and hearing you talk about it reminded me how much I enjoyed it. I agree. Seta by Moresque is a beautiful beautiful fragrance. When I smelled it in store it was love at first sniff and I just had to get it. There are 4 more fragrances from that Secrets Collection that I want to go back for. I haven't yet tried the Art Collection. That will be next on my list.
I agree with you too on Velvet Tonka. It's so smooth and just devine to wear. I also enjoy Tabac Rose and Crème de Cuir - they definitely don't get as much love ad their red and grey stable mates.
I adore Rima XI and Velvet Tonka. And I would ad Figment Woman (Amouage), Ambra Calambria (Nishane) and Siwa (Memo) as a gorgeus fragrances I don't hear a lot about. Thanks for recomening Moresque, I'll need to check them out. ❤️

Yay! I'm going to ScentXplore too! It will be during my birthday week, so I am treating myself. My sister lives in NYC, and I always love having another reason to visit her from the west coast. You would be the only online personality that I would care to see there. I was in NYC in August and kind of went ham buying fragrances at Le Labo, Scent Bar and Bergdorfs. Prior to that, I had taken a LONG break from perfumes, with the last commercial fragrances I bought (besides Ulla Johnson's Theia oil) being Le Labo Neroli 36 and Rose 31 at Liberty London in 2011! At present I find myself knee deep in a newfound scent addiction, and I have been trusting you and fragrantica to steer me in the right direction! You have been my very favorite fragrance-oriented content creator to binge watch, and I am almost caught up. I have learned a lot from your videos and very much looking forward to meeting you, Josephine!

@@jusderose There is a house niche that nobody talks about and they are great. It is a french house called The different company and the scents are very good. I have Majaina sin and Pure eve from them. I live in austria and i found them in one store. Maybe you would like to check them out
I think the brand has started sending bottles to reviewers. More and more influencers are talking about it. I love and have Seta, Contessa, Lady Tuberose, Diadema and Alma Pure

Hello Josephine. I - a man - have had Amouroud Silver Birch since August. It was bought with cooler weather in mind. I think it's the papyrus that is very prominent in the opening. In the stifling heat of August, I was not crazy about this note. I didn't hate it but it is not a summer note imo. But I did suspect this note would be very good in the autumn. I was correct. The papyrus is very nice in the fall when the weather's crisp. SB gradually dies down to a gorgeous creamy, floral, woody, suede concoction with the fig prominent in the opening before moving to the background and staying there until the very end. This is not for steamy hot weather. 22C and below. It could work in summer evenings - especially when you get to the drydown - but I think temps in the teens (Celsius) is the sweet-spot. Fall and spring are probably the best season. I haven't worn it in winter yet, but I think it will have the depth to work. It definitely will have the performance for cold weather. 8+ hours longevity. It smells very unique , yet it is quite pleasing. Unisex leaning masculine. After the first 45 minutes or so, it is very versatile. It's getting heavy use this season.

Nice to see some new fragrance recommendations. I absolutely love Rima XI… I blew through a decant and recently picked up a bottle. I have a decant of Velvet Tonka and I’m warming up to it. I struggle with Tonka as a note. It can sometimes smell like dirty diapers to me 😭… but I tried Velvet Tonka again a couple weeks ago and enjoyed it so maybe my nose is adjusting.
Oh dear dirty diapers... that's not good haha! There are plenty of fragrances to go around if that one doesn't work :D
I am so happy you pronounced "Regina" properly, not like some English-spoken people pronounce it. I'd like to send you a petition for a new video :-) Can you please talk about how to make a unisex perfume leaning more masculine into a more girly one? In my case, I bought Morning Chess by Vilhelm P. and Olfactive Facet 705 Leather & Oud from NCP (from Selfridges) for myself, but I find them too masculine, and they are beautiful but I do not use them at all... Hmm interesting question and topic. I have one SPF that I can recommend but for the face only (have yet to find the equivalent in body) that's completely fragrance free it's the sunscreen from Beauty of Joseon (Korean brand)
Hi Jus de Rose, I am a loyal Follower and I HAVE to tell you about a new line I hope you can TRY for everyone. The brand is called Sissely....one of my new favorites is called Izia. There is a whole line that I don't know if you know about it, but it is fabulous. I love Izia. (wish I could try out the others). It is like a lemony refreshing Rose, and smells divine.

Do you have a video with some good recommendations for lighter scents? I often try perfumes thinking I will love them but the dry down ends up too strong for me. The bcbg (pink one) smells good on me but I’ve outgrown it. Love vanilla, spices, peppermint, fig, ylang ylang, berries, white florals. Thank you!!!

Hi! So happy to hear you like Ombre Leather :) Ok Percival is a sexy freshie, close to Fierce by Abercrombie & Fitch. It's strong & longlasting so definitely recommend. Sedley is clean and fresh think clean cotton clothes and a little more subtle.

I think if you are getting some perfumes , performance is very important. By the way , i just got YSL La nuit l'homme blue electric... and i love it. It's sooo good. I mean... these are largely underrated because they are unknown brands. BDK probably the largest out of these brands and Velvet Tonka is what, the 3rd or 4th most known scent from their lineups? Can't really comment because I've tried scents from just 3 of the 6 brands in this video.
