The Unfortunate Crash Gippsland GA8 Airvan

Arnhem Land Community Airlines cargo flight from and to Elcho Island with stops in Mata Mata, Muthamul, Nyinyikay, and Rurruwuy. The plane was noticed missing at 12:30. Witness spotted the plane followed by black smoke rising from the eastern Napier Peninsula. Some wreckage was found in southwestern Buckingham Bay on October 17, 2008, with the main wreckage and pilot missing.
