I saw Monster at the Theater in 2003, and she won an Academy Award for best actor. I bought the DVD when it was available. She is amazing and love all her films.
This lady just kicks ass on so many levels and facets it's incredible.Just a gem of a human spirit.Such a joy to see someone so famous and beautiful so candid humble and down to earth. She just rocks.
I am so glad that her ballet career didn't work out, her mom encouraged her to go try out 'storytelling' in Hollywood, her check couldn't be cashed easily at the bank, and for that manager dude who stepped in to help out. You are such a gifted actress, Charlize! What a beautiful, humble, intelligent, witty human being this lady is! Obviously, it's not just you who got lucky to get to do what you love for a living, I count myself lucky every time I get to see your amazing performance on screen. Keep it coming, queen
Over the years I’ve ran across her interviews here and there, and my appreciation for her grows. One of the few current working actors out there whom I actually enjoy discovering more about. So many Hollywood journalists stick to the same fluff questions, but this was actually an insightful interview.
Thanks for all your candor. Its been s great relief that you were able to overcome skepticism throughout your career. Keep up the great work!! Lots of love and luck for the future.
Another "Conversations" which surprises me with so few views. Such a treat to be able to be in Charlize Theron's company for an hour. Thx 2 the SAG-AFTRA Foundation. (Jenelle, I like how u always ask about the card at the beginning:)
As a dancer turned actress due to complications with my body as well as being from a family with 0 background in the ent industry hearing Charlize speak of how she transitioned from being a ballerina to being an actress!
my idol my role model!!!great woman, actress, intelligent classy rolled into one, Man! shes everything.love her! one of the 2 of my favorite actress along side cate blanchett
38:48 if i could support myself, that was the dream. I thought she is just a beautiful hollywood celebrity, shallow and cheerful all the time. but man, this woman is so real, down to earth, honest, frank and has a deep soul. there are billions of women who doesn't have 1 percent have what she has, yet has million times more arrogance, expectations, self-valuation than this wonderful human.
Charlize Theron 💚😍💚 her mind is so full,,,i love her and i love her even more after watching these great interview second time,,, her perspective on what she does is just so incredibly inspiring.
Came across ‘tully’ on hbo and was interested because I heard it was a comedy. The twist at the end, WOW! ETA: ‘That’s how ‘aeon flux’ happened’. OH MY GOD.
The only thing I can say , is Totally cool woman! I've never heard a woman use the F*** word so casually, not for effect but you get her point. I'm a 70 yr old dude and if you think I'm kidding about her, check her out on "The Hot One's" Now to me that's what every female should strive to be, independent, be honest, be yourself. Kudos to Charleze!
She is the perfect example for getting in showbusiness because of her BEAUTY. She can walk in the park and get invitations left and right. compare her to the interviewer ... i m just beeing honest. She is the perfect blonde and the other one has to work. Life is hard!!! =)
Her beauty opened up doors but her talent has kept them open. If it wasn't for showing her amazing talent in Monster, her career would be over because she is 46 and thriving in challenging roles. If all you have is looks, you get dropped once you're out of your 20s.
A too down to earth Charlize. Honesty is good to extent but that dog gone ‘f’ word never fits the classy lady you look and are at heart. 99.9% my perfect roll model.
Your story always inspires me. I hope one day I can also do something so amazing like you do. My knees gave out on me, too. But, I hope I will be able to find my place, too.
The part where she said " I didn't know he was famous I just thought actors were regular people with this cool job" I'm still there. Lol I can't understand Americans obsession with Fame. Everyone wants to be famous, they exalt people just for being on tv or film. I know who Kim Kardashian is for butt pic, but couldn't pick out the rest of her siblings or step siblings from a line up. Had to ask a friend the origins of the meme of the woman scream at the cat. She said she thought it was a "Real House Wife". It's such a ridiculous concept to me. I mean of course I appreciate a talented artist as I would a gifted athlete, or a writer. But I hold Nobel prize winners, research doctors, great politicians, investigative journalists etc. In even higher regard. Anyone who excels in their field I admire. But this nonsense of no bodies being somebody's because of reality TV is bizarre to me. Even catapulting actors that really aren't very good because of their attractiveness is another thing I will never understand. I mean how did Kevin Costner ever even have a career? He's an average joe that can play the average joe dad or husband. He should've been a character actor that played the next door neighbor. Everytime he took on a role that was even a minor stretch I was embarrassed for him and it was honestly hard to watch. I mean Robin hood Prince of thieves has to be one of the worst on screen performance in history. But Americans made him famous and he was handed parts and leading man status even though he's an average actor at best. Yet countless men and women that excell in their craft are relegated to fringe roles because of their looks. At least Charlize can act but probably would've become leading actress material and become super famous just on her looks. The American fame machine is such a bizarre thing.

Why this channel has so little views?
Вадим Мукабенов Вадим Мукабенов I’m assuming that it’s because most people aren’t familiar with SAG-AFTRA or what they do.
i ask myself the same when i watch "off camera"
Due to nobody is interested in listing to serious stuff!!

She is the perfect example for getting in showbusiness because of her BEAUTY. She can walk in the park and get invitations left and right. compare her to the interviewer ... i m just beeing honest. She is the perfect blonde and the other one has to work. Life is hard!!! =)
good point but acting is hard work as she mentioned several times.

Aeon Flux was awesome :(
big woman big heart
Auditioning is a strange process. Trying to make something natural in a room with no set, reading with people who sometimes aren’t actors.
An Afrikaans meisie putting on a show!
Charlize Ilove you bb
Good actress but also the beauty
Charlize you are a wild woman big movie star I thought atomic was a bout blondy Debbie Harry that's what I thought the movie was about
