@MrAkihiros Thank you so much for watching the B&H Photo RUclips Channel and for your feedback. We are very pleased that you derive value from and find our presentations useful and informative.
The LX5 is a good camera, however the LX7 was totally redesigned. It has an improved sensor, processor and lens from the LX5 causing it to be much faster with improved image quality. The LX7 has a much faster burst rate for active subjects also. I?d normally say if you are happy with the general use/performance of your LX5 stick with it, if you want an improvement the LX7 would be worth considering. - Yossi
@kingphet123 Your computer must have supporting software installed in order to see the video files. Mac's require iMovie 11 but does not support footage recorded in 1080-60p. Chuck
bought the camera based on this good review. Not disappointed one bit. I wanted a small camera that could fit in a pocket and unlike my canon elph, which fit but took crappy pics. You can pick these up new for around $300 on ebay and a nice fitted leather case for $20........happy camper
Hello, hope you can help me, I love to travel and take pictures but no just point and shoot... I really to capture colors, places, etc. I am thinking about get the Lumix DMC LX5 or the Nikon J1 ... Which one you will recommend? Thanks in advance and great video!
Thanks for checking out the video! Both of these cameras are now discontinued, but I would recommend getting another mirrorless camera to have the best possible image quality. One good example is the Fujifilm X-T100 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 15-45mm Lens (Dark Silver) B&H # FUXT100KS, which has an APS-C sensor, a high ISO range, and a fast autofocus system. bhpho.to/2JHWppc
I've read through the manual and cannot find any mention of the LX5 have a date and time stamp for stills or video. I do not know why this is happening or how to correct it. C h u c k askbh{at}bandh{dot}com

I have compared photos on FLCKR taken the with the LX5 and LX7 and the LX5 looked much better in alot of the shots.
Ahhh yes back when this was top of the line tech
its so cool
I have one and they are still retro fun.
I have had the dlux4 and now the LX5....LX5 is an improvement, noise control is excellent, I don't hesitate using 800 or 1600.

I have the Leica D-LUX 3, same object, great camera. I'll buy the next model, but Panasonic.
Not sure whether to get this or the Canon S95 as they are comparatively priced right now.

Is it worth upgrading to the lx7 from the lx5?
I love this camera. Now I'd like to do videos. Does anyone know if you can pause a video halfway through, then continue (with the same video)?
Unfortunately, you can only stop the video and start a new clip. Pause would be available with playback.
@@BandH . Thankyou so much. At least now I can stop trying. Your RUclips channel is fab; thanks for all you do. A
all my videos have the date embedded [showing]on them and i cant find any info how to stop this its destroyed all my movies
