- Quick Tip: Seasoning Flavor Profiles
* just a thought and idea.. if you have never tried the seasonings and spices in your spice rack individually... you may be missing out on some wonderful flavor combo's
Great tips, thanks for sharing, will definitely incorporate this into my own cooking! Greetings from a Swede in China 🏯⛩️😊☀️
I've read all sorts of schematics for flavour profiles and eventually settled on:
1. Sour: spaghetti, or any dish with tomato paste as its base. Polish hunter stew (wine, sauerkraut)
2. Cream: Fricassee, butter chicken
3. Pepper: jerk, piri piri, vindaloo
4. Umami: soy based stir fry, faggioli (parmesan based)
Then there's dishes that don't seem to fit any mould. Like how would you classify an Irish lamb stew? I would put it in the 'cream' based category since it has a mild, sweet, buttery taste.
Thank you for your tips👍 New friend here joined you. Keep in touch🤗
