True, but it's not a sustainable system without those homes becoming lived in again to prevent a recurrence of the degradation. It seems oddly common on these lawn care channels to see such abandoned homes with boarded up windows. Is this truly such a common problem in the US? It feels like we have a similar problem across the pond here in the UK where retail units in city centres become vacant for years at a time due to rent being raised unrealistically high and no one wanting to pay it. I suspect that likewise these abandoned homes are on (or have been on) the market for unrealistically high prices with the owners expecting to sell for considerably more than prospective buyers are willing to pay. Sometimes greed just gets in the way of everyone being happy.

Hey Mr. Stockman. No snow yet ??? It has been snowing in Montreal since yesterday, and still snowing today (Mon) at 1130AM. When all is said and done a foot of snow will have fallen. Let me see, maybe I have a roll of fencing in my shed, I saved for a rainy day !!! har har har And we can thank the baby Jesus, there was NO toilet in the back yard this time !!! If I'm doing a job..I don't ask people to help. If I want volunteers I don't expect people to break from their only day off. I post a want ad and meet them at job site. Some of you have never volunteered and it shows.

As a 72 yr old woman with sciatica it’s become difficult to maintain my yard (1 acre) there are so many invasive vines that in places you can’t even see my stone wall anymore. I’ve in the past been able to keep up but I realize that it’s slipping past my capabilities. God Bless you for reaching out to help people like you do.

Try calling local churches and ask if they know of a person or group that might help. Or, your city Community Services office, Local high schools, college, boy scouts, volunteer groups.

Have you seen a tool that is a wire brush that attaches to the end of a weed whacker. It's like a roller. It will go through all that sod on the driveway. Will make your job a lot easier. You have done an amazing job on this property! Hope all the neighbors appreciate you?

Probably because landscaping a property with out permission is trespassing. Even if you mean well a good deed can bite you in the butt. What you can do in your neighborhood is not something that can be done in others.
I watch several other lawn care videos. When they are done it looks neat and tidy. When you are finished it looks like a place that would be great to live in.

I've just finished watching the last of your videos and sit here wishing there were more. You have become one of my favorite yard rescue channels. I so appreciate the care that you give to the little things that have nothing to do with the yard itself. I hope more people discover what what a great person you are and the outstanding work you do.
I really love watching your videos. It's not just a lawn transformation, it's a home transformation. You peeled away the overgrowth and debris (and replaced fencing!!) and made the home shine again. I hope the property owners (or new ones) see the beauty of this home and land and continue the transformation. As a Californian, it is so bizarre to me that you can just burn branches, etc. in the backyard whenever. That's a huge no-no here. There are even restrictions on fires in a fireplace, unless that's your primary source of heat.

As a 72 yr old woman with sciatica it’s become difficult to maintain my yard (1 acre) there are so many invasive vines that in places you can’t even see my stone wall anymore. I’ve in the past been able to keep up but I realize that it’s slipping past my capabilities. God Bless you for reaching out to help people like you do.
Can’t you ask someone to help you with your yard? A neighbor? A family member? I’m sure someone would be willing to help??!!
Obviously not...or she would have said so. Many neighborhoods are like this. You should watch hoarders to see an example of how some folks are aging and the programs are defunded by businesses owners that influence politics.
Hope owners of this place see this change and get it livable for someone who needs it and will keep it up. I know that's easier said than done,but for your part you weren't for something easy.😊
Hey, I hear you and at 74. It’s hard for me as well… but I do have great neighbors if I need the help …but I’m still out there mowing away and I do enjoy it. I wish you had someone that you could ask to help…maybe one of the neighbor boys would like to make an extra 20 bucks? Good luck and God bless.

Have you seen a tool that is a wire brush that attaches to the end of a weed whacker. It's like a roller. It will go through all that sod on the driveway. Will make your job a lot easier. You have done an amazing job on this property! Hope all the neighbors appreciate you?

I am always impressed with how you clean up all the grass clippings, debris and leaves. You treat the property of strangers as if it were your own. However, you need a "Reach Right" tool attachment for your tools to save your back.❤

The hard work you put into the edging, taking down that fence intertwined with vines was phenomenal, not to mention redoing the fence, cleaning both driveways, trimming and burning limbs from the trees and picking up the trash from the yard, plus removing the filled trash bags along side of the house! You are a hard worker with a heart of gold! Not many would have done all the extras you have done. You have given the house a new life, not to mention what you have done for the neighborhood. I really love watching your videos. It's not just a lawn transformation, it's a home transformation. You peeled away the overgrowth and debris (and replaced fencing!!) and made the home shine again. I hope the property owners (or new ones) see the beauty of this home and land and continue the transformation.
As a Californian, it is so bizarre to me that you can just burn branches, etc. in the backyard whenever. That's a huge no-no here. There are even restrictions on fires in a fireplace, unless that's your primary source of heat.

You should consider a program where you teach teenagers and individuals these skills. I have been doing gardening since I was about 10 and am now 65 and I have learned things from watching your videos.
