    Found out mine was bent on my 20hp mercury today by a significant amount and used this trick to get it back within .001 so appreciate your video! Thank you

    Love it! Everyone seems to be using jacks and dial indicators this way is as simple as it gets thanks for showing you method of doing this looks like the go to me.

      His way is eyeballing it, a dial indicator is the only way to know you are within manufacturers specification

    This just happened to me on my 25 tohatsu. Going to be using your tips to fix mine

      How was straightening you prop shaft on your Tohatsu. That is the second time I have straightened my prop shaft. I recently installed a depth finder on my boat, I hope that is going to help me reduce the number of times I have to do this job. I now actually carry the straightening bar in my boat, it would be a easy fix in the field.
