Soft Pretzels and Cheese Dip

Soft Pretzels and Cheese Dip.
Great for parties or appetizers. Soft Pretzels just like the best restaurants.
Ingredients:
Soft Pretzel Rods
1/2 cup water
2 TBS active dry yeast
1 cup beer
8 TBs butter
1 tsp salt
2 cups cake flour
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
vegetable oil for greasing bread bowl
2 quarts water for boiling the pretzels
1 egg beaten
2 TBs. baking soda
Kosher salt for sprinkling
