Two different generation in one act. To sing a classic song that brings memory's of 80's just simple amazing.Cheers and I liked the two generations of sound.
Had no idea these guys were fans of The Police! I just had a rock-gasm when Sting and Eddie sang together, what a great song and a cool rendition from another classic, all-time rock band.
Great collab with Sting. I love this man. My ex husband took me to see The Police in the early 80's. I was still a kid and not yet married. What a spectacular show!!! I've been there with Pear Jam since the beginning. You guys have totally become a super group. Who would've thought any different with your talent. Now, where's Stone and Mike?
Remember when Ed used to play this in 1999 with C Average? Anyway, this is awesome and it can't be said enough that PJ should release more from their extensive live video archives, I mean what are you waiting for Pearl Jam?!?!?
Can we get some love for Matt Cameron playing a VERY difficult drum part by another drumming god Stewart Copeland? Cameron is probably the best drummer in rock right now, especially with Taylor Hawkin's passing.
You are right. Both of them are great. Taylor is more for me as rolling drummer but Matt more precise ... I love how Matt played the drums in Soundgarden.
@@SirPhilMcCrackinVonBeggington You think being inducted into the rock n roll HOF means anything?? LOL, it's just a popularity contest. Most people in there aren't even Rock n Roll. The irony of your post is brilliant, Matt Cameron isn't even in the HoF with Soundgarden yet you say he is maybe best drummer (MC wipes the floor with Taylor).
@@xbriskxPopularity contest? There are other bands drummers a hundred times more popular than Taylor. Taylor was also voted "best rock drummer" by Rhythm magazine, but yea dude "he's not a good drummer." You're so f'ing retarded.
such a phenomenal voice Sting !! and here is already kinda messed up .. still gorgeous and this is why the police was such and amazing band , pearl am for sure not a ska band :D
Love this song and I’ll also preface this by saying I don’t have the knee jerk hatred a lot of people have for the stung one but I though he sounded pish here. Almost thought he was trying to do some parody copy of vedder
Always thought Matt Cameron was one of the best, but even he can’t carry Stewart Copeland’s sticks.. as evident in the performance. Matt does fine, but is no Copeland.
love when sting just strolls on.
+Robert Flanagan and how he strolls off :)
I love both of your comments so much 🙌🏻 really made my day
It takes a stage filled with musicians to do what Andt-Stewart-Sting did so well...The Police Rocked!!
I hope I can look and sing that good when I'm almost 65 like Sting!
Great version with Pearl Jam, one of the greatest bands ever!
Good to see the good old Sting in a badass mode, with Pearl Jam..
I was there! What a show and what a surprise to have Sting join! Electric night!!!

I would DIE from excitement if I could see Pearl Jam live
Yes you woul, I saw them once, best concert ever!
They've covered this since '92....I guess it was about time they played it with Mr. Sting. Awesome!
Had no idea these guys were fans of The Police! I just had a rock-gasm when Sting and Eddie sang together, what a great song and a cool rendition from another classic, all-time rock band.
+ianA They've played this live in the past, at least a few times. The Buffalo show from May 2, 2003 has it.
I was there! Both shows!
Eddie was at a few of The Police shows in 2007 big fan
Matt Cameron worships Stew Copeland.
Lol who doesn't like the police.
Fantastic version! Pearl Jam nailed it!
This was bloody amazing!

Now, where's Stone and Mike?
right? love ed, freaking love that sting was ther. but pj is more than ed.
this is just one clip from the whole PJ concert that's showcasing sting. Mike played a solo, didn't you see him?
@@leinonibishop9480 Yes I see him now. When I first watched this I got interrupted by someone and missed Mike.
Came all the way from California for this, thank God I was there both nights, best time ever!!!!
Awesome !!! Great! Regards from Sao Paulo - Brazil
I love that fretless bass
Me too and Jeff Ament is an amazing Bassman:)
Sting is SUCH a great bassist. You never really get to hear it much past about 1982.
@@OlafProt 4 years ago but you're totally right
GREAT TO SEE SUCH A COMBINATION
Outstanding!
OH MY GOD!! Thank you Pearl Jam, thank you! This is epic, and I LOVE how you just uploaded new material from just days ago!!
Remember when Ed used to play this in 1999 with C Average? Anyway, this is awesome and it can't be said enough that PJ should release more from their extensive live video archives, I mean what are you waiting for Pearl Jam?!?!?

Glad they uploaded this...I couldn't get tickets. Thank you, PJ

Taylor wasn't very good, he played with a lot of heart though.
@@xbriskx Inducted into the rock n roll HOF, but sure dude "not very good." lmao get over yourself.

HOOOOLY DAMN!!!!!
still love your music!!
Eddie can sing anything and with anyone.
Indeed!
Please make a DVD of this tour!!!
Love how Eddie is extremely careful with his guitar playing. He does not want to fuck up...
He came, he sang, he stung.
I don't always like Pearl Jam...but when they do badass covers i feel like a newborn who had just suckle.
Indeed... driven to tears!
awesome!!!
my dream come true!
I was there. Great fucking show !!!!!!!!!!
great
Que grande Chizzo.
Eddie the maestro ! 3:36
Fuckin awesome😱 great.Chciałbym tam być..Zajebiste!!!!
Wracajcie do Europy..
Been there. Great show!
I don't know why Sting left so early... This was awesome.
He sounds bloody awful on this. He's really straining to get that gruffness into his vocal and his range has diminished.
#ILoveIt
March 4, 2021. Companies beach Florida 10:25 am!!!!!! Wow
Like this cover but nothing will beat the version of Robert Downey Jr
Live 8 beats them all.
Haha Robert destroyed that lol. Live aid was a brilliant one too.
Except the original version, of course.
YES SIR
Who cares😂
such a phenomenal voice Sting !! and here is already kinda messed up .. still gorgeous and this is why the police was such and amazing band , pearl am for sure not a ska band :D
FUCK YES!!!

Pearl Jam covering the police great combination the best of UK and US
At first I was saying Eddie nooooooo then Sting started ahhhhhhhh yes
New wave
Please Make a Dvd from LatinAmerican tour from last year and put this as bonus..!

Classic Sting ☮️✌️😎💪😂. Mr. Eddie to.
From 3:00 - is so intense.
Please make a dvd of the South America tour!!
😍
Only Eddie can upstage Sting. Great performance.
Pazzeschi!
I still don't know if that was Sting or Conan O'Brian.
Wow, I guess that was pretty epic! Sting has been on the down low for a bit?
when Sting walked on stage, I thought it was Hugo Weaving for a split second.
che spettacolo mortacci vostra!!!!
Stings here looks a little bit like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I'm your backup if needed.
OK Liam Nielson 😂😂😂
I'm your back up to his back up, even months later!
Come at me bro.
jaydog189 - this version is dog shit
😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Sting has a lot more of vocal strength when he’s not playing bass
sting n pj, nerek tengabb
How small is Eddie next to Sting 😂
Oh, Eddie, that jaw...
No Words, but the mouth still open LoL
dvd/blueray ????????
As drummers go, Matt Cameron is about as versatile as they come.
Who's the drummer ?
Soundgarden and Pearl Jam Drummer Matt Cameron.
300th view! lol
Always thought Matt Cameron was one of the best, but even he can’t carry Stewart Copeland’s sticks.. as evident in the performance. Matt does fine, but is no Copeland.
Matt ussually plays thigtly, but this one is such another challenge for him.
Sting is not making any attempt to actually sing WITH Vedder
Matt is always better playing any non-Pearl Jam song
Mr. Ed. A talking 🐴 horse show, back in the 60's or 70's
