EDIT 2024: This video does not showcase anything after BB+ 0.3.8! SOMETHING I DID NOT MENTION: Bully blocks the sight of other characters! Meaning, well, they cannot see through him. Just to inform people who don't know, a new character named Dr. Reflex was added to Baldi's Basics Plus V0.4. Upon spotting the player, Dr. Reflex will run over to them and start a small timed minigame where he opens his hands on both sides and reveals either an X mark or a checkmark. To win, you must click the checkmark, and he will let you go, while clicking the X will restart the minigame. You can walk away from the minigame either yourself or through character interactions like Gotta Sweep, 1st Prize, or Cloudy Copter, which will make Dr. Reflex mad and go to his clinic and chase you down with a hammer. The hammer squishes any character including you it comes into contact with. While squished, you won't be able to interact with buttons or lockers. Other characters interactions are also limited when squished, which include Baldi not being able to end the game, the Principal won't send you to detention, Playtime won't start her jump rope minigame, Cloudy Copter won't blow winds, and Beans won't spit out gum.
@extra_accountl0l807 And Mrs Pomp Can't Send You To Her Class, And Chalkes Cannot Be Squashed So We Don't Know What Happens, And The Test Cannot Blind You, And You Will Need A Mod Menu To Spawn Infinite Dr Reflexes, So There Ya Go.
Keep in mind that Principal of the Thing will immediately stop whistling once he catches you breaking the rules, and will not whistle at all until after he sends you to detention.
Also that once Ms. Pomp catches you to remind you to be at her class, time stops for a brief period, allowing the player to look wherever they please of their surroundings and hopefully catch up with their planning.

The test is one of my favorite enemies he is very mysterious and he can make ceiling lights flicker as if he's controlling them and makes other characters stop. The sound that he makes when he sees and blinds you is early satisfying to hear.
Its honestly really interesting how baldi is the only main game character that can actively kill the player. All the other characters just serve to make your run more chaotic

Baldi’s basics is a really under appreciated game; people act like it’s just another one of those “horror games for kids” -type games, but it has much more intricate mechanics and isn’t much of a horror game.
I feel like baldies basics is a good entry level horror game though, it's just right for babies first horror game. No blood Simple enough to understand Gets them used to the horror game chase, like running from monsters. Gets them used to the stress of a horror game. Is scary enough to be considered horror, but not too scary Example. *MRS. POMP* Sadly, the youtubers got to it. A ruined what it could be. Oh well. It's still a gem.
But that's what makes it great. It's a pisstake of the "BUT WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?!" genre of internet horror games (Bendy, Hello Neighbour, Five Nights, Etc...). This one is just random chaos because it's funny. But I am a little worried that MystMan is trying to actually set up some proper backstory, as if he does so, I think he's missed the point of his own game entirely.
a good thing about the characters is that they all have a purpose, be it hindering you from progressing or punishement for something they all have a purpose like 1st prize and cloudy copter who can both be wildcards, either harming you or helping you, chalkes who punishes you for camping in classrooms or bully who forces you to find another way out of that location
I think Arts & Crafters was created while thinking about the original where you need to get to the exit a few times Here he is the "Win with a little risk" buttton

I remember I hen I first encountered The Test, I had zero idea it existed and it legit scared the crap out of me. Oddly one of my best memories with this series lol.

Finally for the Test, yes it becomes active the first time you look at him, so next you go in the same hallway as him you have to remember and already be looking in his direction or else he will go towards you and blind you^^ Also, awesole video very useful even if I knew most of the things because I'm interested a lot in this game hehe

I backed the game on kickstarter but never got around to seeing the releases product! I absolutely must look into it more, I'm impressed by what I've seen of BB+!
I think it's interesting that all the characters seem like the "urban legend"-ified version of normal edutainment game characters. Chalkers and test definitely seem like old unused files that an overactive childhood imagination would turn into creepy and/or strange entities.
The test changes location in some levels. On one specific level i played, he started near the detention room, then after the first blinding, i found him in a dead end near a test procedure door. So he does move in a way

heres another fact: in some floors outside, if you use the grappling hook on a tree with an apple on it, it will fall down and you can pick it up. if you still have the apple in your inventory, and baldi is about to get you, he will instead take the apple and say: "an apple?, for me?, thanks" and then proceeds to eat it very fast, this temporarily stops him from moving, idk how long he stops moving for
2:15, Like how Baldi actually smiles when he sees you get a Math Problem Right. Also, Mrs. Pomp is one of the Fastest & Loudest of all Baldi Characters.
I’m assuming BB+ uses the same noise mechanics as the original did. For anyone that doesn’t know, in BB original, there were three tiers of noise, tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3. Tier 1 was the lowest and only contained opening doors Tier 2 contained the tape player or bad math (dependant on version) And tier 3 contained being sent to the principal’s office, an alarm clock going off, or reaching a fake exit during the endgame. Baldi just hears where you’re teleported to for some reason I assume it makes a really quite noise. Anyway, sounds of higher tiers interrupt sounds of lower tiers. I can’t remember if sounds of the same tier interrupt each other. The RUclips channel Tech Rules actually did a really good video a year or so back analysing how the entirety of the original Baldi’s basics game works.

I swore The Principal could also send you to detention if you use the scissors to cut Playtime's jump rope while you're in his line of sight. You can also use the scissors on 1st Prize to make him malfunctioning if you don't want him bothering him, but I don't know if you can be sent to detention for that.

Just to inform people who don't know, a new character named Dr. Reflex was added to Baldi's Basics Plus V0.4. Upon spotting the player, Dr. Reflex will run over to them and start a small timed minigame where he opens his hands on both sides and reveals either an X mark or a checkmark. To win, you must click the checkmark, and he will let you go, while clicking the X will restart the minigame. You can walk away from the minigame either yourself or through character interactions like Gotta Sweep, 1st Prize, or Cloudy Copter, which will make Dr. Reflex mad and go to his clinic and chase you down with a hammer. The hammer squishes any character including you it comes into contact with. While squished, you won't be able to interact with buttons or lockers. Other characters interactions are also limited when squished, which include Baldi not being able to end the game, the Principal won't send you to detention, Playtime won't start her jump rope minigame, Cloudy Copter won't blow winds, and Beans won't spit out gum.

Keep in mind that Principal of the Thing will immediately stop whistling once he catches you breaking the rules, and will not whistle at all until after he sends you to detention.
Also that once Ms. Pomp catches you to remind you to be at her class, time stops for a brief period, allowing the player to look wherever they please of their surroundings and hopefully catch up with their planning.

At first Ms Pomp time was the absolute most terrifying thing iv ever seen in a game. Now the test has become more unsettling to me.

The test is one of my favorite enemies he is very mysterious and he can make ceiling lights flicker as if he's controlling them and makes other characters stop. The sound that he makes when he sees and blinds you is early satisfying to hear.
Its honestly really interesting how baldi is the only main game character that can actively kill the player. All the other characters just serve to make your run more chaotic

Finally for the Test, yes it becomes active the first time you look at him, so next you go in the same hallway as him you have to remember and already be looking in his direction or else he will go towards you and blind you^^

There's also another thing you forgot about 1st prize which is the Safety Scissors which you can use to stop 1st prize from moving(I forgot how long), same as Playtime. I know it's unimportant but it gets repetitive sometimes.

I don't play Baldi's Basics, bit I can recognize a well-put together and informative video when I see one.
I think it's interesting that all the characters seem like the "urban legend"-ified version of normal edutainment game characters. Chalkers and test definitely seem like old unused files that an overactive childhood imagination would turn into creepy and/or strange entities.

heres another fact: in some floors outside, if you use the grappling hook on a tree with an apple on it, it will fall down and you can pick it up. if you still have the apple in your inventory, and baldi is about to get you, he will instead take the apple and say: "an apple?, for me?, thanks" and then proceeds to eat it very fast, this temporarily stops him from moving, idk how long he stops moving for

I’m assuming BB+ uses the same noise mechanics as the original did.
For anyone that doesn’t know, in BB original, there were three tiers of noise, tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3.
Tier 1 was the lowest and only contained opening doors
Tier 2 contained the tape player or bad math (dependant on version)
And tier 3 contained being sent to the principal’s office, an alarm clock going off, or reaching a fake exit during the endgame. Baldi just hears where you’re teleported to for some reason I assume it makes a really quite noise.
Anyway, sounds of higher tiers interrupt sounds of lower tiers. I can’t remember if sounds of the same tier interrupt each other.
The RUclips channel Tech Rules actually did a really good video a year or so back analysing how the entirety of the original Baldi’s basics game works.
No, BB+ uses a different noise mechanic: there are no tiers.
