It's pretty sad that there is zero end game in MSF that the limited time events have to be made hard to satisfy some of the player base. If there was already a weekly end game content like a alliance boss battle or something, then Scopely would not need to make these limited timed events so hard of a challenge. I am not mad that the OML event is hard, I am mad that it's hard and only comes around once every 4 months. If it was a weekly event, then it gives the player base a target to hit in end game content.
The first cosmic bio is a minor issue. I controlled the apoc by stripping energy from him using Void Knight and then was able to trauma with Skrulls ultimate and keep ability block or stun on him with Skrull and nova. For hero skill, I used 4 sacrifice attacks. One of which had decent characters and was able to pull both lizards specials and ultimates. Took SPS BK and wasn’t too hard. If you use the right mods, you don’t need to finish to get the max milestone. Note that the second cosmic bio and hero skill nodes are very easy to

Mobile I did what you showed in your video. I put all the pacts on except for the Serum ones and played at level 13 difficulty and was able to get a 6 yellow and 3 red star Logan. Thank you for that idea. I struggled to get the 4 red star Logan as the nodes that are hurting me are the Cosmic Bio because I never built up a Knowhere team. I have a big Nova but that's it. I used Skrull, VK, Mr. F, BB, Photon but the only toons that survive for me are Skrull and VK. The others are not built up high enough and getting that one extra red star just isn't worth it to me to build what I would need to. Sorry for the novel appreciate what you do for the community.
If they want to make it hard to complete, thats fine. But then don't make nodes like Cosmic Bio. That basically forces players to upgrade their knowhere team to G18 to do it. So basically if you factor is spider society as well. You need 4 teams built to the 9s to complete the event.
@VishusVenom not true indeed, in truth, you need a gt19 spider society for a fun challenge, or a gt18 sack team and a gt18 spider society with diamonds. You need super skrull, which automatically means you need those gt18 characters, and you need nowhere, who are trash outdated characters that still do nothing on the node so your best off bringing photon super skrull nova and 2 other nowhere characters. Can't forget the gt19 cabal OOT, and while it is potentially possible to get the full unlock without them at gt19, it's going to be bad hard. Not fun hard.
@@sogekingsimp2469 I took SpS BK. Peni and Pav are GT19 6/6. Peter is GT18 6/6. Noir is GT18 1 diamond. BK is GT 19 2 diamond. It was tough. Required multiple sacs to pull lots of ultimates and then a few attempts.

I have the toons at 95 gear 18 7 yellow. I have 7 red on most of the required teams with some diamonds here and there. My real problem is not that it’s hard my complaint is it was advertised that if you had 7 yellow on each you could get 7 yellow oml. That’s not what happened. I backed down to try to get 6 yellow and 4 red that’s not really feasible either. So now I’m going to shoot for 6 yellow which is fine but I expected to be sitting at 7y4r now and I’ll be leaving feeling like I got cheated after making sure I had out of time and cabal Emma and Loki at 7y7r min. That’s where the problem is I feel I like the challenge I did apoc before the changes I’m happy they made the changes because some teams were worthless. I have skrull I’m happy to be where I’m at. But this event seems to have been said that if you had the stars you would get the 7 and that’s not the case.
It wasn't advertised that a 7* team would get you OML. It was advertised that you needed 7* toons to be able to enter the difficulty that could get you a 7* OML. 2 very different things
I enjoyed the OML trials for 7 stars. They were a decent challenge for end game players. Some of the complaints are just newer players that aren't used to the game to be honest. Many of us playing since day one expect 3 or 4 runs of an event before getting 7 stars. Should someone that has been playing for 1 year expect to get through the same difficulty content as a 5 year player can? I don't think so. New players also have amazing advantages older players did not, so they don't have to spend years and years to get to the same level, but in a game like this where advancement it measured over months and years, I don't think it is healthy for newer players to expect being able to breeze through content. What fun would that be? What would be the point of playing over a long period to bring you over all roster up? Some of the arguments Mobile highlighted and that are plentiful on Reddit just seem to want too much too fast or not appreciate the paced nature of progression in the game. There are people without even gear 19 or level 100 characters complaining about not topping out content? Get real. Your characters aren't top level so why would you expect to beat top level challenges?
I’ve played this game for years! Back years ago there was definitely legendaries that I missed first or 2nd time round and everyone now expecting to have a max level OML after 2 runs? I’m 63m tcp and managed to get 12m points so ended up with 6*4rs and I’m ok with that. The guys that spend the mega dollar keeping the game going get the better rewards kinda makes sense otherwise they wouldn’t need to spend if it was all hand outs
I didn't mind the challenge. I had to burn a few attacks on hero skill. I'm not a fan on how they made the last pocket di so easy, so I didn't mind the challenge. If urdoing the highest difficulty, u will prob need to usea few garbage teams to burn attacks. Don't think u will 1 shot every node. Also u only need to beat 8 nodes to get a 7 star oml. Keep that in mind when u lose a few members on the second to last cabal node or any other node u might have trouble with. Just keep trying. You might have to restart alot to get the rng to fall in your favor. I know I did
Did d15 without health pacts with g18 level 100 spider society. peni, peter b, and pavitr were 6R.. noir had 1D, ghost spider 3D. Sacced the sup 6 node once then went in with spider society and 2D g19 black knight (swap out noir).. it took a lot of resets though to make sure that they were all still healthy at the end 😬
I think that the OML Trials should be somewhat hard, not incredibly hard to the point of nobody being able to complete it, but hard enough because of how good OML is and how much of a game changer he is in every single game mode, Arena, Raids, CC, War, etc. I think the best way to go about it is having it be somewhat difficult to unlock him, and then making it harder to upgrade with red / yellow stars, as he one of the best characters in the game, maybe THE best.
Old man Logan was almost impossible for me but after a cabal burn attack and playing smart with my Unlimited X men I finally got him. For anyone going for him you basically need the perfect run and I mean perfect if you’re level almost lvl 90 like me or lower but you can get him it’s possible it’s just a long and arduous.
@@arkuspendragon Not for me because I don't have a Knowhere team other than a big Nova. Hero Skill I have a full spider society at 3 mill with 3 of them being at GT 19 with 9 diamonds combined and a 2 diamond BK. I just used full Spidey and wrecked those nodes easy.
@@muttswob4239 this is your problem. Your roster is very narrow since you havent built up any other team than those few you use. Knowhere is really good in war and most players that was war focused when they were the premier war team have them strong. 7 atar GGC requires you to fully build a war defense team that does absolutly nothing in any other place, but noone cries about that.
The arena credits are my issue as a newer player. Cores are great and always welcome for refreshes, but it would be nice to at least get enough for 2x purchases in the arena store
I managed to unlock oml, missed the orgianal event. Didn't really have the squad depth and ended up having to cheese the first node to get the 1,1mil necessary. Took me a few attacks, spider society with tier two isos, all four out of five. 700k power did well.
Yea I’m using level 95 g17-g18 units with 5-7 red stars on every node in the OML event and my units will be doing fine then one will just get one shot out of nowhere. I can’t even say it’s anything I’m doing wrong or can figure out it’s just a random crit = Death/restart I’ll probably be able to get enough points for 5*OML by the end of the week working on a few units but man it feels unsatisfying Also people are talking about mode 4 but for me mode 3 was pretty bad too cosmic bio into weapon X and Death seed? As someone who doesn’t have super skrull or full knowhere built up i was left with a mess of a team comp Illuminati + Nova helped out because of black bolt mister fantastic but it was still crazy and required multiple restarts
Gee, what a shock, if you aren't a spender, then the goal posts get moved and you can get bent, commander. There is one constant in this world, Scopely will do whatever it takes to drain the fun from their games.
I managed to do it as a very minor spender, £20 maybe once a month or so. Took about 1 and a half of retries. So it’s doable, it’s just not meant to be easy to get the best character in The game at 7* imo
The OML event was fine. It was frustrating and challenging but was achievable for me with some effort. Yes, the first hero skill node was a bit too tough and required way too many sac teams.
Dont mind having to grind and wait longer to get things. Im f2p so thats what is expected, just wish i could still participate at some degree, i unlocked him first go around and he isnt getting bigger anytime soon. Also having to build very specific things sucks for me since resources are so scarse. Id like to see an option like a raid lane go left its cosmic bio, go right its mutant villain or something?
Second returns and third returns of trails should be easier. The first release should be hard. That’s not a problem. Then all the 🐳 can get their seven star oml.

Interesting video, I'm not sure I'm going to do the further investment I need to go from the 6YS to the 7YS. There are other things on the horizon that will need the resources. I can't say I'm all that upset that I can't get a 7YS this go around, however the last post about the time sync and work to get a 7YS is pretty tone deaf - I guess maybe that's the best way to describe it. I will say something that was more my focus, there was a lot of crimson health catalysis. I put in the effort to get those, the last two reward milestones were actually less interesting. It's one thing to get gear checked, it's another thing to simply over-tune it so you have to play for hours and search for creators to show you how to do it. If you want to gate other rewards behind that, for example unique cosmetics, that could be interesting. There are also so many ways that spenders get far ahead as far as roster development, it might be nice to introduce some bragging rights content to people that enjoy this type of effort. As is it, I pretty much ignore the last quarter or third of most milestones. Most of the things are the desirable to my roster are pay-walled in the milestones and leaderboards. I already play this game way to much and I'm sure most people have zero desire to put in this much effort in. As they put more and more pay-walls into content, the more and more I'll simply decide to quit spending (passes) and, eventually, quit the game. If they are going to gate something like pocket dimension, do something like the each progressive run requires more stars on new teams - they don't have to limit it to 2. However you can't just throw out rewards for these earlier runs that people already have a ton of.
my cabal loki and emma team did great, but cosmic bio sucks a bit. had to restart at node 7 because no number of sacs can help with h4h since they get energy at start lol. womp
Really though my cabal is at least level 95 and blue iso 5 and peni parker one shot my entire team but leader had a sliver left. And this is at level 13. I got the 5 star but cannot even get near the 3rd red star
The issue with the OML event is that Hero Skill nodes are a shadow requirement. They expect us to put a raid team against Sup6+ with CC bonuses on. These shadow requirements are why I build legendary required teams as big as possible ASAP. So I'll have resources to deal with these gotcha' tactics.
The Hero Skill nodes are the easy part since everybody should have Spider Society maxed out. The issue are Out of Time and Knowhere nodes... because nobody wants to build characters like Starbrand or Cosmo which have 0 use outside of War.
I dont buy passes so i have no dark promos. Feels like we get less red star orbs and dark promos. 100 leader short of 7* but definitely roster too small for 7* oml and I'm endgame. Skated by with 1.5 mill cabal emma loki and 2.5 mill spider society. Will definitely need new power creep toons to get 7*

I've been playing 3 and a half yrs now and I got a pretty solid roster n I can't get past milestone 11 or 12 sometimes around there I can only get him to 4 star and 2 red this freaking blows I'm bout done with this game the player release method is getting shitty too I'm just not feeling it anymore it's not fun I'm getting blocked from getting characters now and yeah that bought makes me definitely not want to play idk when I'll ever get Capt Britain now so it's just not fun when they are purposely blocking us from unlocking character unless we spend a ton
As someone who’s been playing the game 5+ years. I’m okay with some events being challenging. Being able to just Sim all the time is not fun, but I understand that some people don’t want to wait for things / earn it or figure it out. I had to rest nodes and runs multiple times. Yea it’s frustrating but rewarding when I finally got through it. They probably should go back to the star system. Yeah once you earned the stars you just auto the node but it was less complaining. Back then you use fee to play had to wait until the 2nd/3rd run. Finally… Get off my lawn.
People are just salty that they require more than just OOT & Cabal. But this isn’t new, most events require more than you are required to. If people couldn’t complete it and get 7* then I’d say ok, maybe it’s too hard. But it’s not. Many people have got a 7* OML.
OML should be hard to get and so should apoc otherwise all these fair weather players nd up with good players who they don’t deserve. All I buy is strike pass and I work a lot whenever I can to improve my teams I’m happy to work hard to get what I need

They meed to make the Old Man Logan trials how they do the Horeman & Legendary trials, except for maybe make it every 2 weeks or at least once a month & keep everything the same so ppl know wht to focus on to be able to unlock him.. I'm at the point where i only need Starbrand & Cosmic Ghost rider & 2 cosmic bio characters gear a lil bit higher to unlock him.. I'm shooting to upgrade what i need & unlock OML on the last day of the event ..
This is the real issue in a nutshell and I won’t fucking apologize if someone doesn’t like it. The old legendary system sucked it’s was simple an auction for buying shards and hoarding, it gave them no way to control how many and how strong new legendaries were in game. The scourge method was miles better it allowed for theory crafting and wide rosters and rewards players for playing well and didn’t hate on stars. THIS abomination is the bastard rape baby of the two not only is it FULLY star gated the nodes are built to be fucking unforgivable requiring I GIGANTIC roster and many other specific tunes to have even a chance, it’s not fun or engaging or rewarding. Rng farming for better scores to punch higher is great, having to rng farm for hours (9 total for me over 2 day with a 85 mil tcp) just to BARELY beat it is so fucking tone deaf
If you think the Gear Tier 16, 5 Star difficulty having 800k-900k toons when the highest difficulty is only 1.1m toons your out of your mind. I have 7 yellow and 7 red characters gear tier 18 getting melted in the Gear Tier 16, 5 Star Difficulty. The “lower” difficulties are so over tuned it’s unfair. People resisting a lot things when they 100% shouldn’t with my characters stats compared to the “requirements”, they’re way above the requirements. Beyond rigged
@@GinoXII They are tuned to allow the Crucible and War teams to punch up. Cabal cannot clear those nodes against 1M enemies, but with Crucible buffs they erase the nodes without even allowing the enemy to take a single turn.
@@scorpionxiiclips Cabal isn’t my issue personally, the Bio Cosmic is the only one I really have issues with. I get the second node of it and can’t get past it. Still they’re way over tuned regardless.
I got through difficulty 15 with 2.6 mil spider society. Node 4 I used BK on a sac team to take out kraven and 1 Lizzard. People need to stop bitching. Sounds like a skill issue to me. Only my Noir is g19.

I'm like you mobile I liked how hard the event was . No leader at 7 stars so I just got the 6yellow 4 red and it was fun

Got the Oml unlock milestone 14 last four scourge I used xtreme g17 once I unlocked him I upgraded him and then did milestone 15 to get stars on him

Looks like during the orb event in arena they reinstated the 15 minute/25 core rule

I think that the OML Trials should be somewhat hard, not incredibly hard to the point of nobody being able to complete it, but hard enough because of how good OML is and how much of a game changer he is in every single game mode, Arena, Raids, CC, War, etc. I think the best way to go about it is having it be somewhat difficult to unlock him, and then making it harder to upgrade with red / yellow stars, as he one of the best characters in the game, maybe THE best.

Old man Logan was almost impossible for me but after a cabal burn attack and playing smart with my Unlimited X men I finally got him. For anyone going for him you basically need the perfect run and I mean perfect if you’re level almost lvl 90 like me or lower but you can get him it’s possible it’s just a long and arduous.

@@arkuspendragon Not for me because I don't have a Knowhere team other than a big Nova. Hero Skill I have a full spider society at 3 mill with 3 of them being at GT 19 with 9 diamonds combined and a 2 diamond BK. I just used full Spidey and wrecked those nodes easy.

@@muttswob4239 this is your problem. Your roster is very narrow since you havent built up any other team than those few you use. Knowhere is really good in war and most players that was war focused when they were the premier war team have them strong. 7 atar GGC requires you to fully build a war defense team that does absolutly nothing in any other place, but noone cries about that.
The arena credits are my issue as a newer player. Cores are great and always welcome for refreshes, but it would be nice to at least get enough for 2x purchases in the arena store
I managed to unlock oml, missed the orgianal event. Didn't really have the squad depth and ended up having to cheese the first node to get the 1,1mil necessary. Took me a few attacks, spider society with tier two isos, all four out of five. 700k power did well.
Yea I’m using level 95 g17-g18 units with 5-7 red stars on every node in the OML event and my units will be doing fine then one will just get one shot out of nowhere. I can’t even say it’s anything I’m doing wrong or can figure out it’s just a random crit = Death/restart
I’ll probably be able to get enough points for 5*OML by the end of the week working on a few units but man it feels unsatisfying
Also people are talking about mode 4 but for me mode 3 was pretty bad too cosmic bio into weapon X and Death seed? As someone who doesn’t have super skrull or full knowhere built up i was left with a mess of a team comp

Gee, what a shock, if you aren't a spender, then the goal posts get moved and you can get bent, commander. There is one constant in this world, Scopely will do whatever it takes to drain the fun from their games.
I managed to do it as a very minor spender, £20 maybe once a month or so.
Took about 1 and a half of retries.
So it’s doable, it’s just not meant to be easy to get the best character in The game at 7* imo
The OML event was fine. It was frustrating and challenging but was achievable for me with some effort.
Yes, the first hero skill node was a bit too tough and required way too many sac teams.
The fact I have 7*s and basically everyone 95, some at 90 gt 17,18 and can't do the 6* or even 5* unlock fully to the end is crazy

Im f2p so thats what is expected, just wish i could still participate at some degree, i unlocked him first go around and he isnt getting bigger anytime soon. Also having to build very specific things sucks for me since resources are so scarse. Id like to see an option like a raid lane go left its cosmic bio, go right its mutant villain or something?

Interesting video, I'm not sure I'm going to do the further investment I need to go from the 6YS to the 7YS. There are other things on the horizon that will need the resources. I can't say I'm all that upset that I can't get a 7YS this go around, however the last post about the time sync and work to get a 7YS is pretty tone deaf - I guess maybe that's the best way to describe it. I will say something that was more my focus, there was a lot of crimson health catalysis. I put in the effort to get those, the last two reward milestones were actually less interesting.
It's one thing to get gear checked, it's another thing to simply over-tune it so you have to play for hours and search for creators to show you how to do it. If you want to gate other rewards behind that, for example unique cosmetics, that could be interesting. There are also so many ways that spenders get far ahead as far as roster development, it might be nice to introduce some bragging rights content to people that enjoy this type of effort. As is it, I pretty much ignore the last quarter or third of most milestones. Most of the things are the desirable to my roster are pay-walled in the milestones and leaderboards.
I already play this game way to much and I'm sure most people have zero desire to put in this much effort in.
As they put more and more pay-walls into content, the more and more I'll simply decide to quit spending (passes) and, eventually, quit the game. If they are going to gate something like pocket dimension, do something like the each progressive run requires more stars on new teams - they don't have to limit it to 2. However you can't just throw out rewards for these earlier runs that people already have a ton of.

my cabal loki and emma team did great, but cosmic bio sucks a bit. had to restart at node 7 because no number of sacs can help with h4h since they get energy at start lol. womp

No Game Mode should require "Good RNG" if you meet the requirements they themselves recommend, that's just bad game design
Even having my OOT at 90 all 7*+ can barely pass difficulty 13 then you get to cosmic bio and it's impossible
Really though my cabal is at least level 95 and blue iso 5 and peni parker one shot my entire team but leader had a sliver left. And this is at level 13. I got the 5 star but cannot even get near the 3rd red star
And I'm not sure what is considered end game any more it used to be me but I guess not anymore

The issue with the OML event is that Hero Skill nodes are a shadow requirement. They expect us to put a raid team against Sup6+ with CC bonuses on.
These shadow requirements are why I build legendary required teams as big as possible ASAP. So I'll have resources to deal with these gotcha' tactics.
The Hero Skill nodes are the easy part since everybody should have Spider Society maxed out. The issue are Out of Time and Knowhere nodes... because nobody wants to build characters like Starbrand or Cosmo which have 0 use outside of War.
Yeah I’m stuck on hero skill and all my spider society is G19 and at lvl 100 but just 5 stars for most

100 leader short of 7* but definitely roster too small for 7* oml and I'm endgame. Skated by with 1.5 mill cabal emma loki and 2.5 mill spider society. Will definitely need new power creep toons to get 7*
I think people need to stop complaining that Scopely didn’t just hand out 7 stars for the 2nd best character in the game. If you want the highest star level for the second best character in the game, you have to build up teams to get him. I don’t understand what’s so hard about this concept

Problem is not the hard. Problem is content creators push that everyone can get OML 7 star by doing their way. And having to hurry to get him to 7. This is not true, and you do not need him to be at 7 star to be effective
OML event difficulty is insane, even at the recommended gear tier they demolish you lol to the point where I was only able to get him from 1 red star toooo wait for it…..2 yay
6* difficulty, hero skill node took 30+ resets to beat with my entire team level 100, and 3 of them gt 19....yes, its overtuned
I've been playing 3 and a half yrs now and I got a pretty solid roster n I can't get past milestone 11 or 12 sometimes around there I can only get him to 4 star and 2 red this freaking blows I'm bout done with this game the player release method is getting shitty too I'm just not feeling it anymore it's not fun I'm getting blocked from getting characters now and yeah that bought makes me definitely not want to play idk when I'll ever get Capt Britain now so it's just not fun when they are purposely blocking us from unlocking character unless we spend a ton

As someone who’s been playing the game 5+ years. I’m okay with some events being challenging. Being able to just Sim all the time is not fun, but I understand that some people don’t want to wait for things / earn it or figure it out. I had to rest nodes and runs multiple times. Yea it’s frustrating but rewarding when I finally got through it. They probably should go back to the star system. Yeah once you earned the stars you just auto the node but it was less complaining. Back then you use fee to play had to wait until the 2nd/3rd run. Finally… Get off my lawn.
I got through diff 11 without problems i upped it 12 and striggled the last skill node was the issue for me

People are just salty that they require more than just OOT & Cabal. But this isn’t new, most events require more than you are required to. If people couldn’t complete it and get 7* then I’d say ok, maybe it’s too hard. But it’s not. Many people have got a 7* OML.
I had to sack the first skill hero node 3 times. After that it was a breeze

the trials should have been more difficult the first time around OML is way too F'N OP he can destroy a team on his own from full health to nothing in no time at hig levels and 4YS, it's absolute BS for arena teams where you can put a character that low on your team with less powerful toons and still win, OML may be god tier, but is a failure in my book. most players should not even have OML right now, but people were able to cheese it the first time around, now they overtuned the trials because of their own damn mistake. absolutely f'd, they need to Nerf OML the toon and the trials for real.

I'm at the point where i only need Starbrand & Cosmic Ghost rider & 2 cosmic bio characters gear a lil bit higher to unlock him.. I'm shooting to upgrade what i need & unlock OML on the last day of the event ..
Doing a ton of research and watching others play the game should not be required.

This is the real issue in a nutshell and I won’t fucking apologize if someone doesn’t like it. The old legendary system sucked it’s was simple an auction for buying shards and hoarding, it gave them no way to control how many and how strong new legendaries were in game. The scourge method was miles better it allowed for theory crafting and wide rosters and rewards players for playing well and didn’t hate on stars. THIS abomination is the bastard rape baby of the two not only is it FULLY star gated the nodes are built to be fucking unforgivable requiring I GIGANTIC roster and many other specific tunes to have even a chance, it’s not fun or engaging or rewarding. Rng farming for better scores to punch higher is great, having to rng farm for hours (9 total for me over 2 day with a 85 mil tcp) just to BARELY beat it is so fucking tone deaf

If you think the Gear Tier 16, 5 Star difficulty having 800k-900k toons when the highest difficulty is only 1.1m toons your out of your mind. I have 7 yellow and 7 red characters gear tier 18 getting melted in the Gear Tier 16, 5 Star Difficulty.
The “lower” difficulties are so over tuned it’s unfair. People resisting a lot things when they 100% shouldn’t with my characters stats compared to the “requirements”, they’re way above the requirements.

@@GinoXII They are tuned to allow the Crucible and War teams to punch up. Cabal cannot clear those nodes against 1M enemies, but with Crucible buffs they erase the nodes without even allowing the enemy to take a single turn.
@@scorpionxiiclips Cabal isn’t my issue personally, the Bio Cosmic is the only one I really have issues with. I get the second node of it and can’t get past it. Still they’re way over tuned regardless.

If they just give you everything without struggle then the game would be dead they can't keep up already. Some of these things have to be able to be repeated.
