Hi there zena this is something we don't normally grow as don't eat that much of it , but your lovely video may have changed our minds now. All the best Bill and val
Oh I absolutely loved this. Brilliant information and so funny "blue peter" great idea! I like how you potted them on , good idea. Great vlog and I love you pink pots 😀
Great to hear it was enjoyable.. omg the blue peter part was sooo muchbfun...took me back to my childhood days...🤣🤣 i'm in love with these starter pots, got a bulk pack of 50 from ebay for a really decent price...it also came with lavender, baby bink and deep purple coloured pots too 😍😍 i sowed some lavender seeds in the lavender pots and it looks too cute 💜💜💜💜💜💜
That's some nice growth Zena! I heard the excitement in your voice and got excited myself 🤣 I love your potting vids so so much 😍 I eat a lot of basil and they smell heavenly 😍😍😍
Lovely video, Zena! It’s nice that you have sowed the basil previously so that we can see all the stages of growth. 🥰💕🌸I have to sow my herb seeds as well. The weather kept on changing though.😅
Thank you my dear 🥰🥰🥰I really enjoyed showing all the stages 😄 ohhhh lovely that you've sown your herbs...nothings morevsatisfying than getting your herbs from the garden 💗💗💗💗
I love basil, your going to have tons of it come summer with all your little seedlings! I've got African blue basil a perennial type, only grows from cuttings not from seed, so I'm rooting spares in water.
Yesss we love basil in my house...it transforms pasta sauce! I've never heard of African blue basil....am intrigued! Will google it now 🤗🤗 thanks for your lovely support my dear 💗
Useful to watch, thank you for this. I've grown basil successfully on my partner's window sill when I used to live with him, now just sown some for the flat. Plan to plant another one plus some oregano. Fresh basil in meatballs and sauces is such a delight!
Hello lovely Catalina....so happy to see a comment from such a ray of sunshine 🥰🥰 so glad to hear you are sowing your herbs...its such a lovely mindful practice to sow seeds 💗💗 you are absolutely spot on....herbs take pasta sauces to the next level 🌱🌱🌱 thanks so much for your awesome support 🤗🤗
What a great video love the 3 stages, I've done some red Basil but it's raking ages to get big enough to pit on, totes agree about one seed per module sowing I've learnt my lesson with the petunias who are taking up so much space and are taking ages to grow 😁🌹
Thanksss lovely glad you enjoyed... i really enjoyed saying 'here's one i made earlier' 🤣🤣🤣🤣 took me take to my childhood blue peter days 🥰🥰🥰🥰 exactly...ohhh you've sown petunias...i've ordered a pack of seeds and was hoping they would come before bank hols but they didnt 😅 hope it wont b too late
Basil is definitely one herb to grow, love making fresh pesto and sauces with basil or even just adding a few leaves on a homemade pizza makes it so tasty!
Our month old basil seedlings are yellowish and not growing larger (but otherwise looking healthy). I know now not to try to start the seeds in coco coir based seed starting mix, as they seem to want at least a little fertilizer early on. I will just up pot them into the container mix I just made and t hey should be fine. Last year we just used standard potting mix with various basil varieties from seed, and they all thrived on it as soon as they popped up.
Yesss...i sowed my tomatoes in coco coir but quickly had to pot them on due to coco coirs lack of nutrients. Also if you think the compost is too lumpy...then sieve it (thats what i do). Hope your basil picks up after repotting. Thanks so much for watching my friend...appreciate your support 🌸🌼🌱🌱🌱
I’m amazed by the care and detail you put into harvesting. The results are stunning!

Amazing video 💚 thank you for sharing 🌿
The flower shop owner told me to soak the seeds for a few hours first, but none of them sprouted. So the seeds don't need to be soaked at all, right?
Beautiful seedlings!
