I get as far as the other paths but on flatseal, when I put the path to my sd card in, I get a an orange triangle with and exclamation mark at the start and a blue triangle with an exclamation mark at the end, so when I go to select the sd card when installing, it doesn’t show up. This doesn't work for me. The only thing I'm doing differently is not installing it on an SD card as I have the 512Gb version. Heroic won't launch via Steam in gaming mode with any Proton or Wine, and I cannot get GOG Dead Space (2008) to launch either. DS launches occasionally in Heroic on desktop with Wine GE 7.34, but fatally crashes every time I get to the first save point. It's driving me nuts! 😂😭
I cannot open folders view like in 3:22 when I click on that folder icon just nothing happen. Also I cannot login to epic, when chosing login then I have screen to select option how I want to login but whatever i click nothing happen... But other than that GOG and games from it works fine

A lot of my GoG games keep stopping when downloading. Only a few have completely downloaded. I don't have that problem with Epic. However the ones that has downloaded run pretty damn good on the steam deck

Answered my own question. You have to click on the game's card, then click the settings gear on the card, then on the left side click Save-Sync. I forced a download and restarted the game and all my saves came through. Huzzah! Thanks for the vid btw

I just downloaded gog from the website added the installer to the non steam game, go to options and add the proton option, login downloaded the games I wanted and that's it. I don't know if your video is not updated and they change somethings, also I didn't have any problems accessing the SD card.
Unfortunately no game works after installing this way. I just get a black screen and tye option to quit game. Proton 9.0 (beta) - this was preinstalled on my deck.

Why does nobody talk about the save syncs, and how to get our save files from GOG onto the Steam Deck? I'm forced to restart CyberPunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 from scratch.
I'm planning on downloading my latest saves files for both games and send them to myself and then pasting those in the appropriate save folder on my steam deck. True that the saves won't sync for both games, but at least I don't have to start from scratch.

After installing the game do you need to be signed into GOG / Heroic in order to access the game? In my infinite wisdom I made 2 GOG accounts & would suck to have to alternate between the two every time I wanted to play a specific game
But unless I'm mistaken you'll only see the games associated with whichever email you are currently logged in under in GOG? I'm assuming that would mean you would be forced to swap between the two emails since you can't add the game to Steam directly.
The Witcher 3 GOG version doesn't start and I have nothing to choose from in the Wine Version list (i.e. no proton even though it's installed as I can select in other non GOG games). Any help?

For the Linux games you have the option to install the Linux or Windows version of the game, so it would run natively, or through the compatibility layer

@@armisg5664 actually that's how open source software works. as long as it's not used by just a handful of people, and the community is big enough, it's kind of policing itself. people who use it and know a bit of coding can always check what is happening, and if it's something fishy, the forums of that app, reddit, youtube, all will be on top of it also i think you are not actually providing the account info to the app itself. I think it's using the original logins, so it's more like in other sites when you use "log in with facebook"/"log in with google." or when you have embedded payment options inside cart of an online store, where you can log in with paypal or something. you are not providing the actual google/paypal account information to this 3rd party site.

How do you get your saves from the GOG cloud on the Heroic app? I installed CyberPunk 2077 from the Heroic up but it is asking to start a new game.

Cloud syncs work in Heroic if you look at individual game settings, you can set to manual or automatic.

For GOG games it doesn’t require authentication.. download everything from one account and then use Heroic Bash Launcher to add o Steam library.

Nope. You are basically installing the drm free versions without any connection to a launcher, so nothing to sync your games.

I added Origin store to play Fallen Order without 3rd party. Vids on RUclips.
The software is open source. So if there was something fishy about it, the info would be all over the internet saying you should avoid it.
