Well. Nothing is stoping you anyone from doing that. But again you still have to learn to expose a screen with that light. Don’t pretend like it’s easy. The screens are reusable if you keep them clean and on the frame. However it is super easy to burn a new one with the mesh. If you take it off the frame then try to use it again if you have a multi color design you will not be able to line things up perfectly again. I’d just burn new screens. It’s cost you no where near as much time as traditional screening printing.

It definitely is for beginners but i have a big goco pro across the room that does the same thing with full sized screens that is not for hobbiest. If you don’t have the space for exposure unit, wash our booth, dark room etc you can start off at home and this is the perfect solution. Somebody like you would obviously get the bigger version that exposes full sized metal screens. the GoCoPro is still a better solution than buying all the equipment that you have. Exposes all your screens in a tenth of the time with registration marks . Does halftones faster and more accurate. I promise you i have not even a fraction of the time or experience you have printing and exposing and doing artwork but with the gocopro or the miscreen my half tones are gonna be exposed, printed and look more accurate than yours. Let me know when you are ready. We can go live and have a friendly competition. With the GoCoPro you would have started printing your shirts with the traditional way you’d still be at the washout booth while I’m on my way home. That entire process is a time killer. Imagine how much more you can do without wasting so much time. This is how you get your time back. Just saying.
I made a machine like this, but at a very reasonable cost, and I photograph silk with it, but one of its disadvantages is that it requires a special type of silk.
Your time (life) has the biggest value and over time the time saved using this method gives you a greater return on those small jobs. If somebody wants some simple image in some merch just like I show in the video i can get it done in 3 minutes tops. Even though your method is fast. Lid be done and you are still working the only way to scale a business hobby or professional is to optimize and be more time efficient. That’s all I got. But it’s not for you, nothing wrong with that at all.
I made a machine like this, but at a very reasonable cost, and I photograph silk with it, but one of its disadvantages is that it requires a special type of silk.
Correct. For production you would get the GoCoPro QS200 or QS2536 that does the same thing but 10x better with full sized metal screens. This is for beginners that want to screen print and still get commercial grade results.
I made a machine like this, but at a very reasonable cost, and I photograph silk with it, but one of its disadvantages is that it requires a special type of silk.
I just took a moment to look up ikon art. I don’t see any machine. I only see a clip board and lap, and screens. So I’m assuming you still leave to learn how to expose screens. And also have to wait for each of your screens to be exposed. If you want to do half tones with tune detail you have to learn how to produce the artwork and print the screens from your computer then wait for them to burn. With this I can take a photo of you with my smart phone and send it to print and the software produces the half tones for me. I can get extremely detailed images in just 90 seconds. I would say the method you mentioned is a good alternative on a budget for solid colors and less complicated designs this is the step up from that to simplify the process. Get rid of that burn time with exposing screens with a lamp. This is just the unit and the screens with a cable. And gives you better quality prints. I’ll show you in an upcoming video what this little thing can do in 90 seconds. This is my first video. I got you.
Jeez? What do you mean? Exposure unit $2500 Wash out booth $500 Filtration system $1500 Tank and sprayer for washout booth $1000 Emulation and other chemicals $300 Plus the time it takes to do it the old way. This is dirt cheap and way faster compared to the traditional way. No comparison.
@@adubbproductions more than My 900 heat press and 700 laser cutter. 2400 no thanks i can put that design on a gamg sheet and get the same quality. Its cool and all but not worth it to me. Mabe to you but its not for my business needs

that is your opinion and that’s fine but even with your 5 years experience I can print a 3 color in less than a quarter of the tone it takes you. Let me know when you are up for the challenge and we can go live and do it.
@@adubbproductions It is 50 years .. not 5... and you are absolutely correct... you can knock out a so-called " screen " in a few minutes ... This is fine for some hobby or craft type operation..Sorry if you feel offended.. but this is simply not meant for any sort of long production .. I am a 72 year grandmother... and I can still set up a six color t-shirt ... it may take an hour.or two to set up .. but at the end of 2 two, 8 hour shifts.. I can have 12 dozen garments (4 colors on the front, one the sleeve and one on the back) printed. On top of that I stretched my own screens and hand cut many of my films and though covid shut me down...I still have screens that used over and over for many years .. Hell I even have had to shoot sceens in the sun when my exposure unit was down . I have screen printed.. ten foot banners one inch multi-colored glassware. This is very cute technology... but that is what you are displaying...
No. Not offended at all Alexis. This is definitely not for production. I do have a larger one that is for production that does the same this on full sized screens but I’m not making videos on that yet. This is an option for people that want to get into screen printing and don’t have the space for wash out booths and exposure tables and chemicals etc. No need for any of that. I prefer these because they are less expensive than all the other equipment needed to do screen printing the traditional way and it takes up less space and it’s portable. I can also take small one off jobs and get them Don done in minutes. The traditional way with all the time it takes to set up, doing one shirt would not be worth it. If you wanted professional you’d get the larger QS2536.

Let’s see you do it. I’ll be the first to subscribe to your channel and turn on the notifications so I can get all your videos. Please, I’d love to see it. No cuts cause I want to see how long it takes to expose that screen and compare it to how fast I burn mine. Burning and washing out the screen and making a print. I estimate your video to be what, 1-2 hours for a one color print. I’ll do the same print in 3 minutes. Let’s do it.
where can i get one ?
Please do a two color print.
Will do.
I made a machine like this, but at a very reasonable cost, and I photograph silk with it, but one of its disadvantages is that it requires a special type of silk
hi , where can buy this machine?

Your video is dope detailed and so easy to learn from. You are a great teacher.
How big of a design can you put in front of a hoodie or Tshirt? It’s not too time consuming but it looks rather small. Is it for crafters or Tshirt hoodie business? Where can I get one. I need a 16x20 though like my Heat Press. Consumers want some designs to cover up the front and some like little quotes. Will this unit do that? Heeelp! 😮
I made a machine like this, but at a very reasonable cost, and I photograph silk with it, but one of its disadvantages is that it requires a special type of silk
Are results as good as traditional screen printing?
Yes. This is essentially traditional screen printing. You are just making the screens differently. After that you are still using ink and a squeegee.
how detailed can the image be?

I made a similar machine at a very reasonable cost, and I take photographs with it, but it has a special silk, not regular silk.

Does this have enough detail to do CMYK printing?
It’s printing capabilities go up to 203 dots per inch. I would say yes but you can determine that for yourself based on your needs and what it’s maximum capabilities are.

I have the miscreen, and works great. But I am seeing problems, after a few prints the mesh seems to break and you need to watch out for holes... anybody else has this?
How many prints has it lasted and have you found a fix for this?

Are the screens reusable?
The screens are reusable if you keep them clean and on the frame. However it is super easy to burn a new one with the mesh. If you take it off the frame then try to use it again if you have a multi color design you will not be able to line things up perfectly again. I’d just burn new screens. It’s cost you no where near as much time as traditional screening printing.

I wish you would answer all the questions from people in here. Makes me feel like maybe it’s not that good and you don’t want to say.
If it wasn’t that good I would not have made a video on it. I don’t do not that good. I also do mot intentionally not answer questions. i have over 1600 videos on my channel comments and questions under all of them. What was your question?
Bro, you don’t even have a question on this feed. I just went threw and answered the 3 questions that where left that I didn’t see. Smh. I try my best. Sorry question police. I appreciate you watching the video though. Thanks. What’s your question though? 😳
@@adubbproductions relax. 😂 You just answered them. I’m gonna go read what you said.

quicker with a vinyl cutter on silk or emulsion this is such a gimmick
We screen print 1000s of T-shirts…this is for hobbiest
Exposing my Film positive I produced on my PC...to myCoated Frame takes 2 minutes...then Washout takes 10 minutes and ready to print....cost $3 max
This is good for craft jobs but for production jobs this won't work
Correct. For production you would get the GoCoPro QS200 or QS2536 that does the same thing but 10x better with full sized metal screens. This is for beginners that want to screen print and still get commercial grade results.

3,000 .... no way 😳
What’s a less expensive alternative? Besides just not being able to screen print.
@@adubbproductions there is, Ikonart 🤗 I have it and it works super good 👌🏻
I have never heard of it. Let me do some research. Do you make any videos on it?
I got you.
@@adubbproductions does the same thing if someone really wants to screenprint 😊
2400 for this jeez
Jeez? What do you mean?
Exposure unit $2500
Wash out booth $500
Filtration system $1500
Tank and sprayer for washout booth $1000
Emulation and other chemicals $300
Plus the time it takes to do it the old way.
@@MartyMcFlyGuy it’s not worth it to you. Some people it is worth it to. What is the problem with showing them what is available at a lower cost than traditional screen printing for them putting designs on shirts using screen printing?

remember guys...plug it in...who is that stupid hahahahahahah who needs told that? some people just think were all stupid. can tell a lot by what people say or how they word things
🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂
What a crappy little piece of technology... ii have screen printed for more than 50 years and this is simply CRAP
that is your opinion and that’s fine but even with your 5 years experience I can print a 3 color in less than a quarter of the tone it takes you.
For fun projects for rich people its ok.. but seems a joke for professional like us who work in the industry 😂 really? Screen printing thats how 🤣🤣

Really? You have nice RUclips channel. But you promote the very , cheap very terrible design product for 2800???? It is ok if it was 200 ,but not 2800! I am professional and never invest in this product. Sorry nothing personal only real life.
What a joke. This is literally a toy. I can’t believe people would actually fall for this shit
I made a similar machine, but at a very reasonable price, and I photograph silk through it, but one of its disadvantages is that it requires special silk and is only used once, and you cannot erase it and photograph it again.
Thats way over priced for $2400 to $3k when all these china stuff comeouts at the shows their always to high. then they either fall off or some do good. for $1249.95 you can get a 4 color 1 station press kit from ryonet with flash dryer and exposure unit.
Your time saved evertime you have to print negatives and expose a screen is not worth the 3k huh? How long does it take you to expose a 4 color print?
