Hello, well done, I like the videos that you publish ... I hope that you explain the curriculum that we study in Iraq for the subject phonology The name of the book (English phonetics and phonology) The color of the volume of the book is green for the second stage .... I hope to communicate with you .. From Iraq
You are welcome! Some good minimal pairs to practice p Vs b are: Pack Vs back Pit Vs bit Pig Vs big Pad Vs bad Pill Vs bill Remember p is unvoiced and b is voiced. Keep up the great work!
I really enjoy learning your lessons and I am trying to practice as much as I can. I found it quite interesting and effective to a great extent as a non-native speaker, so the word fails me to say thank you. I am SZ from Myanmar in Asia. If I have the chance , I would like to learn the letter " U".
Hi James, thanks for your tutorial. Regarding the word 'put,' I've noticed you pronouncing it as 'putt.' Is that correct, or should we pronounce it as 'poot'?".Please advise
after completed all A to Z series please make one video all two vowel letter combination sound how to use correctly in writing and reading pronunciation🙏
Thanks a lot; James. I'm very interested in learning with your lessons. By the way, I wanna know if there is another word like ' pneumonia that sounds silent in 'p'. Is it like ps,pt combos?

The P sound, M sound and B sound are Bilabial sounds involve the upper and lower lips. In the production of a bilabial sound, the lips come into contact with each other to form an effective constriction. In English, /p,b,m/ are bilabial sounds.
I plan to make some lessons about tenses in the future yes, after I finish my series on pronunciation. Yes, you can say, “Today I went to the market” in English. Remember though that “went” here means this is in the past so usually we would say this sentence in the afternoon or evening (because we “went” to the market this morning)
Technically in British English we should always pronounce the p and the t here…so slept=slɛpt, prompt=prɒmpt and leapt=lɛpt. The reason you may be hearing this differently is because many native speakers like to use the glottal p here or they just skip the p entirely in many accents. So leapt can sound like lɛʔt.

C for me
I am from egypt and i want to learn how we pronounce friends and hands and sounds
"pt" is read as /pt/ at the end of some words and as /t/ in others, example words,prompt:/prämt/2)slept:/slept/ is there a general rule for this?
Technically in British English we should always pronounce the p and the t here…so slept=slɛpt, prompt=prɒmpt and leapt=lɛpt.
The reason you may be hearing this differently is because many native speakers like to use the glottal p here or they just skip the p entirely in many accents. So leapt can sound like lɛʔt.
@@EasyENGLISHwithJames well,thanks
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
When I say hope, I drop the h, and then o and then a glottal p
🥰🥰
