Well Naxos is gorgeous, and there is a distinct lavender note in there which is very soothing and pleasurable. But Naxos is also rather unisex. Tobacco Maniac is a little more tobacco forward and just has more masculine edge as a result. And it’s beautifully blended with the honey and vanilla notes. And you can feel the patchouli undertone which adds a flavour that I like to the profile. And it’s also extrait concentration and out performs Naxos easily. Hope this helps.

Howdy! Nice list. I can’t remember if I’ve tried Wild Leather by YSL or not. I prefer the original, discontinued Apple Brandy by Kilian too to the newer ‘on the rocks’.
Glad you think so. I heavily recommend Van Py Rhum. Just bear in mind the powerful patchouli and rum opening which could easily mislead and put off less experienced noses. The drydown is very different where it morphs into a masculine vanilla with the rum and patchouli sitting in the background with the oud just adding character and backbone to the scent.
I recently fell in love with Vanagloria by Laboratorio Olfattivo. I wasn’t instantly convinced by it but that dry down of incense and vanilla blends so beautifully, it never gets too smoky or too syrupy.
I haven’t tried it yet. So when I come by it I’ll give it a whirl. If the incense is too prominent then it’s unlikely to be my jam. But if it dithers away by the dry-down then who knows. Apparently Liberty London stock them so that’ll be the place. Thanks for the tip.

That dry down more than compensates for its opening, but who knows maybe I’ll like it the second time round, especially knowing what comes next. TOBACCO MANIAC may not be the most unique, but it's PERFECTION. If you like the honey vibe from Naxos and the tobacco from HEROD, then you will love Tobacco Maniac. It’s classy, sophisticated, and spicy to start with a mix of realistic tobacco cigar. In the dry down, it becomes a beautiful tobacco-spicy blend with a noticeable honey vanilla in the background. A seductive and very well-blended scent. Longevity is +10 hours and with a moderate projection.
That is a comprehensive roundup of Tobacco Maniac that I would gladly sign-off on. Well put and on the money. For a masculine leaning, tobacco forward fragrance that I actually want to reach for, I know of no better at this time.
@@jettseoldam4160 I own DHI, DHP, Givenchy Gentlemen Reserve Prive, and Iris Empire. Iris Empire is my personal preference amongst them. Recently it became available on the Harrods website I noticed whereas before it was a Middle Eastern Exclusive.
Glad you enjoyed the closer ;) Between Straight To Heaven and Iris Empire, they have very different scent profiles. So it’s not a comparison in that regard. But Iris Empire within the iris based scent profiles for me is the very best currently. Considerably better than Dior Homme Intense (which it really does not smell like despite what you may read from some clueless people) and better than Givenchy Gentlemen Reserve Privé which is in the same realm but again doesn’t smell similar. There’s an underlying, subtle booziness in Iris Empire which elevates it and gives it a more adult edge. And the chocolatey leather iris dry down is just wonderful. In the top few men’s fragrances I’ve ever smelt in over 28 years of buying and wearing fragrances. Very strong performer too.

Harrods’ website are selling Iris Empire currently for £235. So I would sample it first unless you’ve got the cash to burn. If you are reasonably experienced with fragrances and know what you like, and my description of the notes appeals to you, then you could take a chance on ordering it if you can’t walk into Harrods to test it or maybe find it on a sample website if they have it. If a chocolatey, leathery, luxurious iris with a hint of booze sounds like your jam, then you are highly likely to adore this fragrance.
@@bakerfrank101 one of my ultimate scent profiles. The extreme is much better as the standard STH is a skin scent through and through. And the rum and vanilla are amped up on the extreme. But the extreme is close to impossible to find. I was incredibly lucky and picked up two backup bottles of the extreme from Selfridges in London which were just sitting on the stockroom shelf for years. And I got the last ones :) So I have two shrink-wrapped STH-Extreme’s 2017 batch. Maybe the last two legit bottles on the planet. If I still have one of them by the time I get to 1 million subscribers, I am thinking of giving one of them away to a subscriber at the time.

Noir Extreme is a wonderful scent and easy to pull off regardless of who you are. Fahrenheit Parfum is heavily masculine, unusual, and synergises with a man who has some edge and masculinity. The violet leaf note is prominent along with the other notes. So you have to like violet leaf as a note too. In both cases don’t blind buy. But if you are stuck with blind buying, I would say Noir Extreme is a much safer purchase. Fahrenheit Parfum is better, but only on the right kind of man.
Unfortunately the part of Europe I live in non of these scents work with ladies as ladies here like fresh scent on their Men as they smell sweet mostly, actually in almost all the EU countries I realise this, indeed la nuit l homme is an exception of all time
I see I see. Though I would say don't be afraid to go against the grain and bet the other way. Which part of Europe are you referring to? I've travelled plenty over Europe and depending on season I can always pull-off my darker, sweeter, sexier scents.
I am in Hungary and my job is always between ladies as I work for a clothing brand (popular one) so yeah here sweet stuff isn’t working well. Some acceptions are there but the majority likes the guy smelling fresh as in Versace Eu fraiche, Bvlgari Aqva , Dior Sports and Sauvage , ADG etc
The last time I was in Budapest, I only took PDM Pegasus and Kilian Straight To Heaven : Extreme with me. And STH:E isn’t sweet at all so that would work. Regular STH is the one you’d have to get though unless you are lucky enough to get your hands on the extreme. But yeah, in Hungary in the height of summer I wouldn’t wear a sweet scent. Try something like MFK Amyris Pour Homme Extrait.
It has. If you hunt around hard enough and can get ahold of a legit bottle, it’s Holy Grail level. The regular version of Straight To Heaven has a similar scent profile with less punch to the rum and vanilla, and performs entirely as a skin scent but is just about as sexy. So that’s a viable alternative.
You are the first to ever tell me this. All I’ll say is that this ‘Garnt’ individual better have the voice that parts seas and melts hearts. Or I’ll be very cross with you!
I adore Dior Homme Parfum, though I personally wouldn’t associate it with the vibe of a Sigma male. TF Noir Extreme Parfum, I think the non-parfum has a better scent profile. I think the added ginger in the parfum detracts from something that was already perfect and actually every lady I chatted to about it agreed.
You forgot a really important one. Just like the alphas use Creed adventus the true sigmas use red tubacco and if you dislike that fragrance then you are a beta. Hack it take tru Balls to pull off a master piece like that.
I like that we all see the world a little differently. If you consider how few true alpha males are walking around in the world compared to how popular Aventus is. And even factoring in the people on RUclips who herald it as their all-time scent, then I would label Aventus the definitive beta male fragrance. Or even potentially gamma male (which in essence is a male with alpha aspirations that lacks alpha attributes). Red tobacco is extremely screechy, and attention seeking which I wouldn’t liken to a sigma mentality. And mostly I think certain women tend to gravitate towards it as a fragrance for themselves. I would say Carlisle - the original of that DNA - is more distinctly masculine.
@@SenthilSukumaran I agree with your point of view. I recently snatched 2 bottles of red tobacco for a killer price each and I had never smelled anything like it. But I did get a few compliments from normal people who aren't in the fragrance community. And I was told that it's a memorable scent and unlike anything they have ever smelled.
@@jesus2402 For people not clued-up on fragrances, Red Tobacco or any Carlisle inspired scent profiles will be a new experience for sure. And Red Tobacco is the loudest of the bunch. And loudness is the greatest signifier of compliments when it comes to fragrances.
@@SenthilSukumaran agree 💯👍🏼. I'm a fan of polo red extreme always get compliments and it's rare since it was discontinued. The chance of finding some one with it is practically none. Coffee and wood is what it smells like. Polo red extreme was my first perfume concentration and my signature scent for winter.
My signature scent for the colder seasons has become Iris Empire since last year. But I do mix it up for variety. Harmonious by Boadicea or DHP get some good wear. And lately Tobacco Maniac too.

I am in Hungary and my job is always between ladies as I work for a clothing brand (popular one) so yeah here sweet stuff isn’t working well. Some acceptions are there but the majority likes the guy smelling fresh as in Versace Eu fraiche, Bvlgari Aqva , Dior Sports and Sauvage , ADG etc
The last time I was in Budapest, I only took PDM Pegasus and Kilian Straight To Heaven : Extreme with me. And STH:E isn’t sweet at all so that would work. Regular STH is the one you’d have to get though unless you are lucky enough to get your hands on the extreme. But yeah, in Hungary in the height of summer I wouldn’t wear a sweet scent. Try something like MFK Amyris Pour Homme Extrait.

"Straight to Heaven Extreme" has been discontinued.
It has. If you hunt around hard enough and can get ahold of a legit bottle, it’s Holy Grail level. The regular version of Straight To Heaven has a similar scent profile with less punch to the rum and vanilla, and performs entirely as a skin scent but is just about as sexy. So that’s a viable alternative.

I adore Dior Homme Parfum, though I personally wouldn’t associate it with the vibe of a Sigma male. TF Noir Extreme Parfum, I think the non-parfum has a better scent profile. I think the added ginger in the parfum detracts from something that was already perfect and actually every lady I chatted to about it agreed.

You forgot a really important one. Just like the alphas use Creed adventus the true sigmas use red tubacco and if you dislike that fragrance then you are a beta. Hack it take tru Balls to pull off a master piece like that.
I like that we all see the world a little differently. If you consider how few true alpha males are walking around in the world compared to how popular Aventus is. And even factoring in the people on RUclips who herald it as their all-time scent, then I would label Aventus the definitive beta male fragrance. Or even potentially gamma male (which in essence is a male with alpha aspirations that lacks alpha attributes).
Red tobacco is extremely screechy, and attention seeking which I wouldn’t liken to a sigma mentality. And mostly I think certain women tend to gravitate towards it as a fragrance for themselves. I would say Carlisle - the original of that DNA - is more distinctly masculine.
@@SenthilSukumaran I agree with your point of view. I recently snatched 2 bottles of red tobacco for a killer price each and I had never smelled anything like it. But I did get a few compliments from normal people who aren't in the fragrance community. And I was told that it's a memorable scent and unlike anything they have ever smelled.
@@jesus2402 For people not clued-up on fragrances, Red Tobacco or any Carlisle inspired scent profiles will be a new experience for sure. And Red Tobacco is the loudest of the bunch. And loudness is the greatest signifier of compliments when it comes to fragrances.
@@SenthilSukumaran agree 💯👍🏼. I'm a fan of polo red extreme always get compliments and it's rare since it was discontinued. The chance of finding some one with it is practically none. Coffee and wood is what it smells like. Polo red extreme was my first perfume concentration and my signature scent for winter.
My signature scent for the colder seasons has become Iris Empire since last year. But I do mix it up for variety. Harmonious by Boadicea or DHP get some good wear. And lately Tobacco Maniac too.
Having a video like this is not sigma.
