    So if you want an M57 would you need to buy anything else like new diff or transmission and which?

      @standinoffroad  Год назад +1

      Not with the patrols that I know of, you need an adapter plate either to the Nissan manual or if you go the bmw x5 auto fusion fab has a really nice adapter to the Nissan transfer case.
      You will need the computer reprogrammed do some wiring and throttle position sensor, there is a bit involved in the conversion but it is doable.
      Nath goes into pretty good detail on the vids.
      Thanks Punjabi 4wd club

    Not sure if you will cover it in a later video but what was the cost on gaskets, etc to freshen up the motor.
    And injectors.

      Hay mate, Nath would be the one with all those details, but I do know he got good prices, but did a lot of looking up all the part numbers too.

    Why not do the head gasket and chain while the motor was out?

      @Nathan_welderup 2 месяца назад +1

      This motor only had 191,000 K’s I inspected the timing chain and it looked good.
      Timing chains are only recommended on the alloy block as it’s a common failure point.

    Hiya bud just a thought if you were going to change the exhaust manifold why would you not look at doing the twin turbo swap it gives better standard power and torque figures and apparently drives smoother so I been told

      I'm not sure if nath even looked into that idea I'll have a chat with him see what his thoughts were.

      twin turbo not needed..its not a 79 series..chunk.. i have a ford s/duty. 4.2tdi. 700nm. more than a 79 series. no computer, 1 turbo. its a 4x4, not a race car.. a 6 cyl is better than a v8.. more torque.. per cube.. most ruck engine, marine, are 6 cyl..

      @@harrywalker968 I take it you are not aware of the manufacture doing a single turbo and twin turbo manifold setup the twin is the way alot of people go for a better bhp and torque from the standard tube and once you start tuning it gives very good results

    • @Nathan_welderup
      @Nathan_welderup Год назад +1

      196,000 Ks still ran an drive was a little thirsty failed test leaking, uneven spray pattern and to much fuel bypassing on return line.
