- Tests on the first “beam” of the new PIE 7 are very encouraging. There is still a bit to finish on this first rotating beam assembly. Currently thrust has not been accurately measured (yet) but is estimated to be in the 10 to 15 pound range (4.5 to 7 kg) at the tested RPM shown in the video.
The fist beam will be finished and then the second beam will be added with an SDC (Speed Differential Control) and a QBD coupler (Quantified Backlash Drive coupler) synchronizing the pulses to create an enhanced (smooth and strong) thrust.
And yes, I know I misspoke and said it was the 15th… Ha ha…
Thanks for watching, more coming soon!
Can't wait to see it fully running.
I believe it will be impressive! At least I hope it will... Thanks for watching!
It is a very nice mechanism.
I now understand how the installation of the stopper generates an impact force in the forward direction.
I am looking forward to seeing it running on the bogie.
Thank you. We are focusing the energy forward for maximum thrust. Tanks for watching and thanks for the nice comment.
