    Heavy's a fun class for sure. I would often run the multi-melta, as I still like being able to fight enemies up close, only switching to the Heavy plasma incinerator against the Heldrake. This was a good demonstration on how to use it properly in a whole operation.
    I also would like to point out that like Sniper and his Chameleoine Cloak, Heavy can cancel his Iron Halo early if he no longer needs it, so it can recharge sooner.

    My favourite weapon, it's very good, especially against chaos, one shot for rubric marines (or a few). I prefer a maximum ammo build, because you can destroy the whole map with it :)

    Spiked as u may know I love Helldivers and your gameplay, I like older slashers, and I know this game is supposed to be hella good but the speed of it kinda worries me, can I ask what's your opinion ? Or if u recommend.
    Keep up the glorious work.

      I love the game. The core gameplay feels great, takes getting used to at first but the mix of gunplay, melee combos, parries and dodges works so well, once you find your flow you feel so powerful even when surrounded by enemies. The pace of the game isn't too fast if that's your worry, execution animations are a mid-combat breather that let you pick your next move while invincible, meanwhile the audio cues are very well done to the point where you'll frequently be no-look parrying moves mid-flow.
      My one criticism is that because coop progression is separate from the campaign, the meat of the PvE is only 6 operations. The AI director does a good job of mixing up the experience, especially when it throws in the odd mini-boss, but we need new ops fast - we have a new one coming this month, and more promised in future seasons, but I'm really hoping they can introduce a lot more operations.
      The rest of the replayability comes from levelling the different weapons and classes - while some classes are a little more limited in the kinds of builds you can come up with, the different classes do play quite differently from each other, so there's a fair amount of variety in playstyles.
      If you can pick it up at a reduced price, e.g. on cd key sites, it's a definite recommend - I'd only really go full price if you're a big 40k fan, because this game does a fantastic job of making you feel like a proper Space Marine.

      @@newspiked7385 the buzz around it made me watch about the lore etc, I actually fear the game is slow, but I get that it's also supposed to be a hulking man-beast so it isn't a complaint or anything, what I like about hd2 is the feeling that I gotta make multiple decisions each moment and they all have layers, maybe that's a benefit of being non-linear, like I don't mean SM2 is scripted, but there's a narrative to the online too right ? (Can't say from experience ).
      P.s. you really need to do game analysis or something, your insight is so well-phrased and digestible.

    • @newspiked7385
      @newspiked7385  Месяц назад +1

      I wouldn't say it's too slow either - at its best it gets you juggling multiple threats all at the same time, maybe even more so than HD2 when it comes to being in the thick of it. HD2 gives you more to think about in terms of how to approach objectives, terrain, kiting - SM2 throws a lot more enemy attack patterns at you for you to time and manage, and a lot of threat prioritisation as well.
      E.g. as an Assault, I might want to take out the ranged chaff first as they can really harrass you while being quick to kill, then engage the ranged elites next as tying them up in melee will stop them from firing at your team, then whilst I'm dueling this elite I'm keeping an eye out not only for its attack patterns but small melee guys leaping at me for me to parry, meanwhile I'm checking my armour to see how many hits I can tank before I need to jump pack to safety. There's a lot to juggle, but once you get the hang of it, you'll feel like you have the reflexes of a super soldier
      PS: thanks! Maybe I'll do proper analyses in the future, for now I'm happy putting it into comments and descriptions :P

    I love the game, but I have had tons of server issues as well as my game crashing twice and corrupting to the point of having to uninstall, restart my computer and then reinstall it. Really hurts my drive for playing hope they resolve it.

      Huh, strange, didn't even notice. I don't have any of the perks that give you buffs on revives, so don't really know. Must be either a bug or some weird interaction with a perk the Tactical had on as it kicked in only when he was rezzed.

    Heavy with Plasma Incinerator is the strongest class and you can't change my mind. The ability to 2-tap the clusters of Majoris is insane. Wipes out hordes in just a few common shots. Devastates Terminus, and given how much I hate Carnifex hitboxes this is a must for my team. I do wish they somehow could benefit from parry speed modifiers, but I guess a class has to have a weakness and it is easy to learn the timing with some practice.
    I have to ask, are you doing some sort of tech to shoot so many common shots like you did on the wave in the camp without overheating? Or is it your perk load out that's getting you that many shots? I don't feel like I get that many out that fast without an overheat.

    • @newspiked7385
      @newspiked7385  Месяц назад +1

      It is pretty damn strong - I think I still rate Tactical with the GL higher since it can pump out burst damage faster and has essentially infinite ammo as long there's Majoris around (i.e. almost always). I didn't really play with the Heavy Plasma until after the patch, so I don't really know whether it needed the buffs, but yeah - super strong now.
      As for the common shot spam, I think that's mainly the first 2 perks on the Heavy Plasma tree, as well as using the variant with improved vent speed. Sometimes I swear it feels like I have Rapid Cooling for much longer than just 5 seconds every 30s, but I can't confirm whether it's bugged or not.

    • @ifhefitzhesits5209
      @ifhefitzhesits5209 Месяц назад

      Oh that's probably true on the Tact with GL, I haven't gotten around to fully leveling it yet but I've definitely had team mates run it and they can just demolish anything in their path. Plus the massive damage boost from auspex is a godsend. Yeah you're probably right, Tact may outclass Heavy by a bit. Them both on a team against the Tyrant is hilarious, I can say that from experience lol.
