Okay, as a trained dog groomer, I am so proud to see a pet parent who actually takes initiative and takes care of their husky. The world needs more responsible husky owners like you.

We have a Husky/Malamute cross,. The amount of hair is unbelievable. I've groomed her four times today, and each time have amassed a cloud the size of a football (soccer). It's utterly amazing.
You know it's funny, I use to have a Sheltie (junior lassie) who shed a thick undercoat in spring. She hated being combed but boy, acted like a year old pup once we'd finished. (I'm pretty sure you could cover three dogs in what came off)

German Shepards are gorgeous!!!
Huskies shed 2 times a year end of summer and end of winter and they usually shed about 2-3 times more then what I took off him all together lol

Because in the spring or summer husky lose alot of fur and what I mean about a lot it could fill a garbage can up with fur

lol, he loves being brushed if I brush the others (we have dogs) he is push them out of the way and take their place haha

I need to do this to my PitBull because she sheds so much in the house that it be all on clothes. Like everything I wear I have to re wash it because her fur is on the carpet, kitchen floor, like everywhere !
I didn't know Pitbulls shed, how much do they shed ? They are beautiful dogs wish we could have them here in Australia, they are illegal and get killed if found in Australia :(
She sheds alot like everytime we rub her nothing but fur just comes off. I be so mad because it gets on my clothes. You can have them in the U.S but you gotta have paper ( registration) on them saying its your dog.lishieandfamily

A high velocity blow dryer is perfect for grooming your Siberian Huskies. Bathing once every 3 months and blowing them with it.
I can't use blow dryers on my dogs they are all scared of it lol 😂
I have a husky and it took me and my siblings about 2 months to finish combing him out he's not a big fan of the comb.
I must be very lucky when we start brushing usually they don't want to get up if I brush the other Dash pushes them out of the way or sits on them so I would brush him haha
Does Dashy love this? Our dogs loved being brushed and the furrier the more they liked it. Of course big furry dogs are lovey in proportion that they are furry so it kind of makes sense they would.
Dash is the only 1 out of the 4 who get jealous of me brushing the others he will push the other out of the way so he can get brushed again hahaha
Dash is the big dog. Plus he's so sweet. He's just a big love bug.

Nope he doesn't share with anyone lol but he tries to share with everyone else's food hahaha
That's funny. It seems like he's Isaacs favorite. I'm not sure about the rest, except I think Dash sure loves Miss K.
just saw videos of people using a reverse vacuum and you just see the hair flying off, looks like a quicker solution. my husky/shepherd has no tolerance for brushing longer that 15 min. hard to get a good groom from her.
Now he won’t get so stuck under the fence lol
Actually Dash is pretty compliant! My malamute gets bored after two minutes and its a nightmare from then on out. :)

I use a deshedding brush :)
is weekley grooming needed to keep them happy and less build up to fall out on its own.if i allways want my husky to be to look good with no clumps ready to fall out.
We brush them weekly or fortnightly and when they start shedding like this it takes me 2-3 attempts to get all the fur off him and the other huskies we own
He is so good for sitting still for so long! How often do you need to de-shed him and his pack? So much floof!
Huskies usually shed 2 times a year in Winter time and in Summer. So we do it 2 times a year for each of our huskies. They don't usually start shedding until the age of 7-10 months depending if its summer/winter etc

My husky lives in my bedroom with me and his fur shredding all over on my bed in starting to make me feel sick :( and he usually sleeps on my bed so i cant make him sleep off my bed

Wow that's a lot of fur that came off of him. Do you guys find fur everywhere in your house? Like on your clothes, blankets, etc. I have two dogs both mixes and they shed a lot and their fur goes everywhere! But I also have two cats....

my fiance always says we don't have dust bunnies we have Dash bunnies, and tana bunnies hahaha soon 2 other new bunnies (we have 4 huskies)
lol. no matter how many times we sweep and vacuum there will always be fur everywhere
haha thats like my house too don't worry you aren't the only ones we spent some much on a good vacuum and still fur everywhere haha

What brand grooming tools are you using?
This brush broke it was purina brand and they don't make it anymore :( most deshedding brushes work the same but this was my favourite one :(
Do you keep combing until you don't see anymore fur coming out?
Most of the time about 1/2 hour until they don’t let me do it anymore
can you have huskies if you live in a hot climate I had one growing up in the midwest but my fiance and I are thinking of moving soon to Texas and I really want to get another husky since mine passed years ago.
I am from Australia we have hot climates here this summer we got as high as 45 degrees celsius (113-114 fahrenheit) we kept them cool with the air conditioner, frozen meat meals as our dogs are on a raw food diet, lots of ice, cold water etc

Why do you have to do that? Is it because of heat?
They shed hair end of Summer to loose their Summer coat and end of Winter to loose their Winter coat. If we don't shed our huskies there will be loose fur everywhere so I like to get all the loose fur off all at once so it doesn't end up all around the house

I'm on my 3rd Siberia Husky and have never had this de-shedding problem, because I brush my Huskies daily. I see this and I think you are not a good Husky owner. It makes for a great video for you, but not for the Siberian Husky.
good on you for brushing your husky daily, but not all dogs like to be brushed daily, with 4 huskies, 3 kids and working, being sick for the past 4-5 months, having sick kids etc its not something I can do daily but good on you, I hope your comment makes you feel better.
