sewing up the skin gives the blood a chance to clot and seal the wound. The human body is amazing at healing itself given the chance to do so.
Had a wisdom tooth that was growing horizontally. The doctor had to cut through my gums to extract it. He sewed it up. And within a week, the stitch was ready to be removed. When I looked at it, the skin had fixed itself. It looks different for sure, but it was healed.
It was the first time I got stitches on myself, and it was pretty cool
Nice
Right?! I had an open wound from an incident I had when I was a child.. nothing too big, but big enough that I need to be taken to the hospital quite quickly. I had no other choice but to get it stitched as there would’ve obviously been a 99% chance I would’ve gotten an infection. Got stitches, and it took 2 weeks-ish? If that, to heal. It’s amazing.
Even duct tape would do the trick. The main thing is to get the wound as closed as possible. Use whatever you can. A stapler if you got it.
I like that we get Ellie backstory as well on how she has gotten bitten. As well great job to the actress Storm Reid for her portrayal of Riley. I like how the final scene with Ellie and Riley is a mirror to the present with Joel injured and dying, And Riley is telling Ellie not to give up and use the time the two have left as Ellie use as motivation to try and save Joel. Another great job to the writers, crew and staff on putting together an amazing episode. As well great reaction\commentary by you three.
Come on guys. She was in the mall guarding things for the Fireflies, so, she maybe thought they cleared the place. That may have been the reason why she wasn’t too worried about making noise.
Adapted the dlc perfectly
That guy in the teaser for the next episode...Troy Baker...was Joel in the game. Nice cameo, ya know? Left Behind...wow...that was on point. Very true to the source. Still heartbreaking.
The guy with the beanie in the preview talking to David is Troy Baker. He played Joel in the game.
Great episode. Some of the subtle things they want to get across to the audience are really well done by the showrunners. Ellie can be incredibly cold to anyone she doesn't care about. But if she cares about someone, like she cares about Riley(and Joel), she will fight fearlessly for those she cares about. Also notice Ellie's reaction vs Riley's when they are bit. Ellie smashes the glass counter while Riley sits in silence. The show has done a brilliant job planting the seeds that when it comes to a "fight or flight" reaction -- Ellie only has one mode -- FIGHT.
I was curious to see what everyone thought of this episode after Amber's reaction to the end of last week. At this stage in her life Ellie is defined by loss. She will do anything to make sure she doesn't lose Joel too.
Hey! In the trailer for episode 8, we see a character named James (I don't think he was in the game). He's the one that says, "I don't mean to question your leadership, David, but she's just another mouth to feed."
That actor is the guy who played Joel in the game.
Love it! Another banger episode! You guys are great 🙌🏾. Yeah the crazy thing is, people usually die from bleeding OUT, not the wound itself. Blood loss. Your body can’t produce enough blood faster than it’s escaping, to keep running. Most times if you can keep the blood on the “inside”, you can stay alive 🙂 Amen 🙏🏾.
my ladies, great reactions and review! 😉 oh and the tall dude with the knit hat on in the next weeks preview, that guy did the voice of Joel in the game!!!! 😲
All 3 of you during the sewing scene 😂😂😂
Nah, you're right it's all uphill from here nothing else bad could happen 😌
"Those of us who know" meme.
BAHAHAHAHAHA
I was waiting for you girls to post this!
Lol 2 malls here have carousels here. 3 have ice rinks. Every time i go into a mall that has neither, i automatically think "man this is a ghetto mall".
I'm more scared of stalker infected😨 they are smart
Yeah we have a carousel in our mall. 😂🤣
Amber, saw you yawning throughout the the beginning. We almost lost you at 5:38 >
The guy with the beard in the next episode was the voice actor for Joel in the video game
Carousels are popular in northeast malls
haha I was waiting for your reaction @2:25. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought drinking after some dead guy gross. I don't know, probably a lot of people liked this episode but it was my least favorite so far. So many things put question marks over my head and they should've maybe structured it like the other episodes where we follow Riley a bit, because I really didn't care too much about her character.
Tommy, Joel, and Ellie all love black women! :)
They truly are a family 😂
🥲
The channels creators crying over the first 7 episodes lol me waiting on episode 8 and 9 for those who haven’t played the game prepared to have the time of your life next episode in 8 and even episode 9 😈
They don't know who is David, right ? 😀
Probably they don't know the games so
Shhhhhh🤫
Like clockwork!
Omg next episode! 🤐
ngl that infected coming at them after they kissed felt a little homophobic and very rude
Lmao 😅
LMAO FRR
LMAO FRR
love this part of the game they did it justice except for the dirty needle and thread they should have kept it as duct tape
Yall not posting your reaction to Snowfall episode 2?! I’m so confused
Be patient, young grasshopper. Lol. The reaction is up now.
now why are y'all switched smh LOL
🍄
Girl to Ellie, “You don’t fight. Your friend fights for you.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. If she only knew how much.
The show took a way a great scene of Ellie slicing a guy’s throat to save Joel. Should have kept it in.
Show me on the doll where the HBO execs touched you.
It’s likely going to be in the next episode
@@itss_nattyj I'll make sure to drop by so jason can eat crow when they do.
He clearly knows nothing about story telling.
Great reaction 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
First🤣😂
Love my lil gay murder daughter.
Winter…😑..baby girl 🥺
alisha you sure are cute :)
Something interesting is, none of episode 7 is in the original game!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
No, but it is the DLC story. So it is important.
You're clearly not a fan of the games, or the story that Naughty Dog offered.
What's interesting is that this is the second time you've been peeped making really inaccurate claims.
If you don't know what you're talking about, at least do some quick googling before you open your mouth and look like a fool.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@sarcasmxkate Right. Ellie is the main character, and always has been. Her backstory is valuable, as shouldn't we understand the main character of any story?
If it wasn't for Ellie, well, I can't fill in the gaps, but I can tell you the story would end with Joel arriving in Jackson. The game and the show would be over.
That's all folks!
Lies, it's Canon ellies story from the dlc of the first game, years before the last of us 2 was even conformed, therefore its original. F off incel boy
@@アキコ2003 Hate really be living rent free in some of these people's hearts.
This and episode 4 were the worst episodes of the season - both seem like filler that distract from plot.
Cry baby
No. The characters are the plot. It’s a character driven story. The plot is just there to give them a goal to strive towards, but the journey in a road trip story is always more important than the destination. This episode establishes why Ellie feels so protective of Joel and wants to be with him more than anything. That’s a very important step in developing her character, and her relationship with Joel, the core of this story.
I don't think you understand what "filler" means. Maybe to you it seems pointless to the story, but this is a character driven story and getting to know why the characters in it do and say the things they do and say is a part of fleshing them out. Getting to the Fireflies as their destination is just that, but it's the journey towards it and the relationship between Joel and Ellie that's important.
@@gregoryharris4674 says the creepy guy that isnt allowed within 100 meters of a school.
@@Ren_Davis0531 the writing was god awful, dogshit - a great example of whats wrong with hollywood and why modern movies suck. you take away from previous episodes by showing the audience everything you allude to - you take away from quality writing by beating the audience over the head over and over again. This was a waste of money to satisfy the alpahbet people - guys we have a dlc blah blah blah. Episode 3 while a massive diversion from the IP was a solid episode, well written that kept the story on track. This episode was really 5 minutes, with garbage filler that the audience already largely knew - instead of great writing supported by strong acting.
