Very motivating towards the end, beautiful words. May Allah reward you for helping us discover the beauty of our Deen. JazakAllah khair our beloved teacher Imam Karim AbuZaid.
As-salaamualaikum I'm Native American from the Yaqui tribe, Thanksgiving is celebrating the genocide of my ancestors, the whole harvest story is false, when the US Calvary (army) used to slaughter my ancestors they would celebrate with large feasts that got the term Thanksgiving
Just viewing this so before he answers the question...The best thing we are given from Allah is guidance to Islam. Ya Allah let not our hearts deviate from the guidance. Ameen
Tuga777 Exactly! This isn’t from our deen. The prophet of Allah did not do this nor any of the messengers of Allah. We are only to follow Muhammad (SAW) May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon Muhammad.
@@partyfavors9238 from my understanding if it's not tied to anything religious thing, it would be permissible bc there is no idealization going on here. I dont celebrate regardless but can someone point me in the right direction "in the Quran" that speaks of this? Or is this in a hadith and the next question is it a da'if hadith? I'd like to read it for myself bc this seems a little strange to me knowing this date isn't tied to any deities. Inshallah some will point me in the right direction salams.
