I don't know how else to say this other than I absolutely love your videos. You're very well spoken and knowledgeable about all the fish you catch. Not mention the humor you add is very nice. Definitely happy that I subscribed! Keep up the great work and I will keep enjoying your videos!
nice video leo! youve really introduced me to the world of multi-species fishing and have really helped me grow as an angler. tight lines to the best fishing youtuber out there! :)
I like the info you include in catch and release techniques. Many fisherman don't know proper catch and release, they just focus entirely on the "catch" part! I love your way of speaking by the way, it is very easy to listen to ^.^"
Another great video main man! I have been fishing for a long time but I keep my mind open and continue to learn which brings me to my point, since I began to watch your videos, I have become a better angler on an exponential level. You really are a great dude and an even better teacher. I have a huge amount of respect for you and your chilled approach to just about every aspect of fishing and life in general. Since we both fish a lot of the same places, I am sure our paths will cross one day and I am looking forward to it! Till that day, take'er easy, and keep up the good work! Tight lines my friend and Namasté 🙏
LEO! Please rest and caught more koi! I would love more video of you catching these koi! It would be sweet to try and get a photograph of every large koi from that pond! Amazing! Wish I had a place to catch koi near by!!! Glad your doing better
I agree with you on carp being a smart fish.I witnessed group interaction you'd have to of seen to believe!Once while fishing along a stream bank I came upon a school of carp.I was of little concern to them although I'm sure I was noticed, but as soon as an overhead shadow from above came upon them (from a hawk I believe),one of them smacked its tail on the water loudly and they all dropped instantly! That means one thing. They had past problems with ospreys, water birds,etc..And they remembered how to cope!
do you file the barbs off your hooks? When we trophy fish in northern Ontario we took the barbs off. It is so much easier on the fish! The barbs seem to tear the skin around the mouth.
when a big fish fights for a while you need to properly revive them. you need to grab them by the mouth or tail and slowly drag them back and forth to get oxygen into their gills.
Nothing like a shirtless hillbilly stalking you to give that perfect fishing ambiance.. lol, Another great adventure Leo! Love the species change up. Looking forward to the next catch! Tight lines Leo!
Hah. That dude is a local there! Never talked to him, but he seems to be a chilled fella. Glad that you enjoyed the video, Snapper! Tight lines to you as well and thanks for watching!
+Extreme Philly Fishing the pond down my road has koi and carp catfish bass crappie crawdad sunfish and a couple other I can't think of but tommrow I'll try corn for the koi
I always pull them forward in the water to get water moving throught there gills. helps them get going a little faster. but a damn good job, never seen a 14lb coy before. good fight
Congrats on your new PB bro! Great vid as always. I have a pond near my house with HUGE koi, easily around 20 lbs, maybe heavier! I'm gonna have to try this
Leo idk if your gonna see this comment cuz it's an older video, but two things, first that very first white Koi you cuaght that was a Sholin Hook Set, second thing is I've got a private lake that I fish every single year in my West Virginia and it's got alot of different fish, I've cuaght pretty nice specimens of all of them except the Giant Carp that live inside this Lake. Tried Corn, Worms, Artificial, Bread too, but I can never even get them to bite at all. I don't see them every single time I go to my Lake but whenever I do see them, I try to sneak up, Chum a little bit around them and wait till they start eating then delicately toss my line in and they never ever bite. The Fishing Pressure isn't that much cuz the Lake is Private. I just figured that I would ask you for advise cuz your one of the best Carp fishermen that I know of that's also close to my home area???
Hi leo, great vid and I hope your feeling better. But I have a challenge for you, I forget when but you were talking about reels and why you like spin stuff and how you have a bait caster (I believe you said it was antares dc) but the challenge I have for you is use a baitcaster for a day, you can fish for anything but since its a bait caster and I mainly see them used for largemouth or smallmouth you have to catch one bass lmb or smb your choice any size and that it. Fish with a bait caster for a day and catch one bass that it. Thank for reading
i caught a nice 16 1/2 poung common carp at lafarge lake coquitlam city british columbia its near vancouver i used mealworm on a size six octapus hook with fifteen pound test line iv seen some 30-40 pounders in that lake corn is also good
Glad that you enjoyed it, VektrumSimulacrum. And awesome to hear that your first ever Multi-Species trip was successful! Congratulations on your catches! And, of course, I hope you catch many more Species this season. :) Tight lines and thanks for watching!
Awesome video Leo! I have you on snapchat so I see all the mean comments, but I want you to know you're an awesome angler! I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos and love the content. And as for people saying your accent is bad, I think it's awesome! Keep up the awesome work, Tight Lines.
Leo...Love seeing you fish the waters I grew up fishing, near my hometown of Wayne,Pa!! Thanks for bringing me back,so many precious memories! Can't wait to see you fish the Willows!! FISH ON,LEO!!!
I'm a carp fisherman from the uk and you need to get some fish care such as net and unhooking mat it's bad for the fish being dragged but quality fishing otherwise
On a side note, both koi and common/European carp are invasive here in the US, private ponds aside, most invasive species should be removed and killed. That being said, European carp are very common in warm waters here, but we don't tend to treat them the same due to them being invasive to begin with.
He should use a big net and an unhooking mat, The first one He gets is very muddy and it tales long time to release it, i Think He fights Them too hard
Want to first say I learned about your Mike and thanks for getting Mike back into fishing too. I have a question, how do you tell a carp, koi and big goldfish?
No problem, Bill! I am glad that you found the Channel. :) As for the identification, I think Kevin did a great job at it, Bill! Tight lines and thanks for watching!
+ extreme Philly fishing the frost white was a scaleless white platinum ogon the orange a orange matsuba and third is a poor quality lemon harwakie fourth a scaleless sanke
I have never targeted koi but I have caught a couple on nightcrawlers and bread balls while catfishing a pond. been seeing a big one in a pond I like to fish. might have to try corn to catch it
Hi Leo, I recently started watching your videos.... I love them!!! You keep your viewers engaged with all the comments. Would like to join for for a fishing trip some day... qq - where is this pond located? I stay in Devon PA.
lol i got like 3 feet deep water and u can spot koi and carp surfacing. but they don't bite anything. i just throw in a hook with corn, nothing else, and they dart off in all directions
Great vid leo 35k subs good work keep it up and i was wondering where that lake is in Philly/PA do u think u could give me directions +Extreme Philly Fishing
Awesome, Ca Pa! I actually see your comments all around, so I know you are there. Hah. Glad that you enjoyed the video. Tight lines and thanks for watching!
I am always thankful to all those who give me knowledge on the sport. Similarly, I am all about sharing that knowledge with others as well. Hope to see you around! Tight lines and thanks for watching!
The local lake I fish (usually by myself) has one koi in it and it is pretty big. Not sure what it weighs but it has some good size to it. I'm afraid to try to catch it because most of the time I fish this small lake, it's from my kayak and I'm not sure I could land it safely for me and the fish. There are also a couple equal size carp in this lake I'm afraid to fish for. Any tips? Nay on trying to land them from a kayak? Stick to fishing for the largemouth and pickerel? THANKS in advance for your reply.
I would say go for it! The Common Carp (_Cyprinus carpio_) would probably take your Kayak for a ride; however, it wouldn't be very very bad. Sight-fishing for Carp is a lot of fun! Keep a can of kernel corn with you on the Kayak. Once you see them, throw a few pieces close to them. Try to make as little noise with the kayak as possible, so you don't spook them. You should be good to go with that! Tight lines and thanks for watching!
My goal for the past 2 years has been to catch one koi lol and last year a gigantic 15 lb one broke me off and now that has been my main goal but in this video this pond looks amazing I need to try it out
I would recommend a size 6-10 hook, Simpsorama50. And notice how I setup the hook quickly in this video? That is because those Koi _will spit_ the hook out as soon as they feel that it doesn't feel right! They are too smart. Lol. Tight lines and thanks for watching!
I live like 5 minutes away from the ridley park lake, have you been back there since you uploaded that koi video from there? it's a pretty awful fishing spot, but i dont think you went by the dock, which is the best spot, so if you ever go back hang out there
Definitely, Ben Munro! I agree with you on that. I recommended folks to get a mat and net in the video, and I will be using those once I have proper transportation to take them around. :) Tight lines and thanks for watching!
Keep catching them like that and you'll have a Gyrados in no time.
Cody Odom lol
love seeing you connecting with the kids there. They might not ever see you again but seeing stuff like this will stick with them a lifetime.
i love how they just seem to gravitate to him in wonder, ive seen this a few times now with him lol
Just found your channel and I'm loving every second of it, you're easily one of the smartest fishermen I've seen in a while!! :)
I don't know how else to say this other than I absolutely love your videos. You're very well spoken and knowledgeable about all the fish you catch. Not mention the humor you add is very nice. Definitely happy that I subscribed! Keep up the great work and I will keep enjoying your videos!
Congrats on the catch, Leo! Thanks for all your fun, honest and interesting videos.

Man, these intros just keep getting better and better! I gotta try carping too, it seems like a blast!
Carp fishing is fun and patience but a nice fight they put up
I'm a bass man but carping is fun, the one in my pic is 19lbs
It is definitely a blast, GetGronked87! You will have a fight of a life time with the Carp! Highly recommended! Tight lines and thanks for watching!

Never caught a koi. This looks like fun!
You should definitely give it a try, Realistic Fishing! Tight lines and thanks for watching!
I can't wait to try stalking for carp at one of my local waters, but I cant wait for your collab with Tim ever more! Good stuff, Leo!
A 4teen powwunder! Great work Leo, 4 Koi in a day is extremely impressive.
They had past problems with ospreys, water birds,etc..And they remembered how to cope!
congrats on a new PB, Leo! Awesome afternoon of fishing right there.
do you file the barbs off your hooks? When we trophy fish in northern Ontario we took the barbs off. It is so much easier on the fish! The barbs seem to tear the skin around the mouth.
I don't know if people take records of koi but that's the biggest butterfly koi I've seen caught on film. Nice pb brotha.
when a big fish fights for a while you need to properly revive them. you need to grab them by the mouth or tail and slowly drag them back and forth to get oxygen into their gills.
Absolutely correct, JakeTheTank Gaming! Thanks for sharing! Tight lines and thanks for watching!
A good technique is to look for a circle of bubbles that indicates a carp or koi is eating at the bottom
were they out of pink corn at the store?
i see what you did there lol
XD
+joe fewd I swear I saw u on scarce vid comments
+Plasmaskull Gaming you did
+joe fewd yeah
You should take a good landing net and a unhooking mat makes life easier when it come to recoding fish, keeping them clean and fish care
I jumped when you set the first hook because I was so intensely focused 😂
Nothing like a shirtless hillbilly stalking you to give that perfect fishing ambiance.. lol, Another great adventure Leo! Love the species change up. Looking forward to the next catch! Tight lines Leo!

I am crying now! I love Koi. It's better feeding them by hand than catching them. :(
Nice Fish Leo. I had my first "multi-species" trip today. Used some bits and pieces from your videos. Catfish, Sunnies and a Common Carp.
Glad that you enjoyed it, VektrumSimulacrum. And awesome to hear that your first ever Multi-Species trip was successful! Congratulations on your catches! And, of course, I hope you catch many more Species this season. :) Tight lines and thanks for watching!

Hello, do U know the name of this pond?
Holy crap a EPF video with a music segment! :o Gotta be a legendary rare occurrence.
Great Video Leo
can you please do a video explaining in depth of how to use the inline spinner
tight lines bro
I'm a carp fisherman from the uk and you need to get some fish care such as net and unhooking mat it's bad for the fish being dragged but quality fishing otherwise
Yeah, 'i dont want to hurt you' he says as he drags it up the bank breaking its fins and pulling off its scales
Im a carp fisherman from the uk as well by the way

mikesyr Koi might be illegal but the carp are not, Infact common carp are purposely released by the government to eat algae in ponds.
very nice fish Leo, congratulations on your PB koi
Want to first say I learned about your Mike and thanks for getting Mike back into fishing too. I have a question, how do you tell a carp, koi and big goldfish?
carp or koi will have barbels, goldfish will not, koi are colored, carp are a brassy bronze color.
No problem, Bill! I am glad that you found the Channel. :) As for the identification, I think Kevin did a great job at it, Bill! Tight lines and thanks for watching!
In Indiana at joe hubers apple orchard they have 20 + lbers it's crazy how large they can get
Leo! How you doing? I wanted to say thanks for recommending the Daiwa spinmatic. It's my new favorite rod. Congrats on 35k.

Just got my wisdom teeth out. EPF marathon all day today👌🏻👌🏻
Yesteryday I was fishing and hooked a koi about 14 pounds then my line wrapped around my pole and it broke off
Thank you for this video, i have Koi near me and have tried corn and dough with no luck
Great video and congrats on the PB!
Some of these Koi looked like in had some Butterfly koi in it. The fins were quite a bit longer than a regular koi. Probably Koi x Butterfly Koi
Nice man I am still waiting to catch my first coi but my PB carp is around 17 pounds not big I know
we are not allowed to release them where I live because they are invasive. nice catch!
Yeaaa Leo that is a really good spot! There are also some crappie in there surprisingly
where is it in St. David?
It’s called fenimore woods park

Nice fishin brotha...i watch for tips of what the fish bite on...love the videos..keep up the good angling✊✊✊😎
My goal for the past 2 years has been to catch one koi lol and last year a gigantic 15 lb one broke me off and now that has been my main goal but in this video this pond looks amazing I need to try it out
And one more thing to add because this one orange koi keeps picking up my bait in its mouth and spitting it out what size hook and what type of hook
+Simpsorama50 for carp use size 8-4
I would recommend a size 6-10 hook, Simpsorama50. And notice how I setup the hook quickly in this video? That is because those Koi _will spit_ the hook out as soon as they feel that it doesn't feel right! They are too smart. Lol. Tight lines and thanks for watching!
Lol I literally just caught one today thx for your help
Haha, that's what she said! Your sense of Humor is awesome, what level are you on Pokemon Go now Leo? Gotta get that Koyrados!
very good video my friend I like seeing you Americans catch and let got carp I hope to one day carp fish with you
What pound test line do you use for those koi? Wanna try and get a light combo for carp
Get an unhooking mat it protects the fish massively
Philly, Philly! Who else from Philly? 🦅
Nice catch bro!!!!
Love your videos
At 7:43 When he says "stop splashing me fish", it looked like the koi came up from the water just to say "no" Lmao
Joji Franku Miller hi
cool video I look forward to checking out your channel some more!!!
I live like 5 minutes away from the ridley park lake, have you been back there since you uploaded that koi video from there?
it's a pretty awful fishing spot, but i dont think you went by the dock, which is the best spot, so if you ever go back hang out there
I bet there's some expensive fish in there you should try and get some outta there and get them in a clean pond
Hey dud nice vid. Do you have a video where you caught the monster 32lb carp, I would love to watch it!
Tight Lines!
koi are extremely cautious! great video!
I fish for carp in the uk and you can use up to 18lb mono for koi and you need heavy gear
some carp aren't invasive anymore. common carp are not invasive anymore. there is a reason but I cant remember how to spell it.
Do more sight fishing for koi!
Holy crap that way bigger then all my goldfish and beta add together
Some lovely fish there! But would like to see a net and landing Matt but other than that well done!!!!!
Definitely, Ben Munro! I agree with you on that. I recommended folks to get a mat and net in the video, and I will be using those once I have proper transportation to take them around. :) Tight lines and thanks for watching!
Wow, I live right next to there, my friend and I catch bass there all’s the time, I’m going to try it out soon!
If you don’t mind me asking, what’s this pond called? It’s close to me and I would like to get here
@@aidanloftus7713 did u ever find out?
@@ThatQuicksandTaco nope
You need another 90 something of those to evolve. LOL
Wow that orange koi was beautiful great job
Thank you very much, FUNKILLER! :) I agree with you on that! Tight lines and thanks for watching!
Nice video keep up the great work!
I went here the other dày. You should see the size of them now!
Wish I could find a pond like this near me
What do you do if you're night fishing or koi? Can you make a night fishing for koi video
