Gonna be That Guy, memes aside: Sogga is probably a Serval, Floppa is a Caracal, Cogga is a Cougar, Bulgir and Buggir are probably Norwegian Forest Cats. It looks like most of the other characters are Sphinxes or Rexes (hairless or extremely short-haired breeds). Hyenas /are/ actually more closely related to cats genetically, but resemble canines in physiology and behaviour due to convergent evolution.
I looked it up because I wanted to see the cats they're based on, and it looks like Bulgir and Buggir are pallas cats!
that's really interesting, but kinda makes sense given the fact that most of the plains' top predators are in the big cat family. So it begs the question, are Spotted African Dogs also more closely related to felines? Or are they actually in the canine family?

Wild dogs are not related to felines OR even domestic dogs and also cannot interbreed with them. They are a single species on a unique evolutionary lineage and if anything are more closely related to wolves than dogs or cats. They are in the Canidae family.

For info on all the types of cats:
Sogga is actually a serval and Floppa is a caracal!! They're both small wild cats that are native to Africa. The kinda naked cats are sphynx cats, more commonly known as hairless cats which are naturally hairless! Bulgir and Buggir are supposed to be Pallas cats, another small wild cat found in Central Asia. Cogga is a cougar/mountain lion and Oatmeal and Poppy are domestic shorthairs.
One last fun fact: hyenas are actually more closely related to cats than they are dogs!

I hate to omit this, I really relate to Bingus. I always had a hard time being thick skinned and relating to my classmates, and always excited to meet new people to the school, but after a while they get comfortable and find their group and again, on my own.
