Wow... I know I lot of good guitarists that don't get all the details right on this one, Been trying to get this down for too many years... Sonny you are a talented guitarist, and a wonderful teacher! Thank you so much!!
Great Sonny! Judas is one my favorite band. everytime that i choose to play a song , you already have the lesson video awesome!! gretings from El Salvador Central America.
sonnyrocker I am sure I speak for lots of people when I say " I appreciate whenever you have the time to post any lessons. I have learned tons from your channel " Thanks
Donny I know no one has commented on this in some time but have you checked out the way Faulkner shows how to play it on The Icons of Guitar video put up by Gibson? You’re the closest I’ve seen to anyone showing how to play Priests stuff really correct. If you haven’t seen that video yet check it out. He ads some of the “hidden” tones with how he’s playing it that are apparently how Glenn is actually playing it.
I LOVE this video--but "not a very cool riff"? You're gonna get major flames for that. Primarily because you and I know--it IS a frickin' majorly cool riff. Are you nuts!? Anyway, yes, you NAIL it and thank you for a clear and accurate tutorial.
DID you really say " NOT " a very cool riff ? WOW because IT IS A VERY VERY COOL RIFF ? And I'm learning to play it watching Richie Faulkner of Judas Priest teaching how to play it. ruclips.net/video/1yK_yxI7AlU/видео.html Anyways it IS a cool riff. BUT I'm also learning it from you as well as a LOT of other JP songs as you break it down into short simple sections which is ONLY way an idiot like me can learn it. Thanks for all of the lessons you have took the time to post BUT Hell Bent For Leather IS a VERY cool riff Thanks and have a great day And HAPPY HOLIDAYS ..🙂
It might be encouraging, that it is not important, that you are able to play it in original speed. More important is that you show the right notes and how to play them. Best regards!
Hi backstageBob, I don't believe so. That was my first question when I decided to do this lesson. I've watched many live HD footage of Tipton on RUclips playing this tune. He plays down stroke. You can check them yourself.

Thanks for the wonderful comments, my friend :)

ITS AN AWESOME RIF!
awesome Sonny...love the single note riff at the end...killer
hey Mike, what's up, buddy! Thanks! yeah, that is a very cool riff.
Priest riffs are so cool. They're easy to learn, they sound bad ass, and most importantly, they're fun as hell to play.
I love Priest, and yes, they are very cool. But, a lot of them are not that easy to play. I run into troubles often times when learning them
Love your lessons, bro!
Thanks!
Nice job again. Glad to see you back in the saddle
Thanks, MrOldnslofly. yeah, been really busy lately...try to post when I can. :)
sonnyrocker I am sure I speak for lots of people when I say " I appreciate whenever you have the time to post any lessons. I have learned tons from your channel " Thanks
MrOldnslofly
I humbly thank you :) I am glad I can help while I enjoy playing and learning these songs myself.
Hey Sonny,
Hope all is well, Bro!!
Love the Lesson.
Thank you
Doing well, my friend. Just been busy...Thanks for the comment!
my frustration with what should be an easy song to play gets you a sub lol
Thank you, Fret Fanatix!

Thanks. I did see his video. It's pretty awesome. I really like Faulkner a lot.
Thanks for the video! It is a tremendous help with the "tricky" parts.
you are welcome, Mookytc! Thanks.
Awesome, cheers mate!
Thanks, Tim!

LOL I wouldn't have done a lesson inn this if I myself didn't think it's cool. Everything Priest has done is cool.
OK. At least I know you're not insane!
Cheers.

I said "another very cool riff". Why would I do a video on a riff that I don't think is cool? Come on, now.
@@sonnyrocker LOL ok cool
Now as this is so accurate, its a pity you didn't do a lesson for the solo also.
Nevertheless, thanks for that one.
Thanks, iloveitail. I might do the solo, I am still thinking about it. It is a long solo to do.

Gotta say bro, that intro riff is NOT down stroking like you do, but more of an alternate picking stroke!

I don’t believe it is correct?
The main riff is not correct
Not a cool riff my ass
