The moves and compositions are incredible, but you're right, when you think about the time it takes to find these spots, the amount of gear you have to trek with when shooting moco, timing all these locations with weather and light, the hours and hours spent capturing astro to be rewarded with only seconds of footage, AND to capture all these beautiful sequences in only 6 weeks! That is where I give the most respect and admiration. This film is truly inspiring to any time-lapse photographer, amateur or pro!

mmacfady you’re right with the title! At least like “British Columbia Canada” or something like that. I recently made videography of Quebec so made sure to say “Quebec 4K.” It gets hard how specific you need to go cause for instance I was filming certain parts of Quebec rather than the whole thing, but the title can only fit so much. I guess it makes sense if there is a town you adore and expect in a video of a certain title, you can be inclined to dislike it if it’s not included.

That way the viewer knows to expect it’s going to be from a certain perspective and not of everything. Haha it took me a long time to figure it out for this exact reason - I didn’t want anyone going in expecting every corner of Quebec being seen as I only had 2 days!!! :)

Clint Easton It’s saddening that most of Canada’s provinces (minus Alberta, Quebec, BC and Ontario) are excluded from any international recognition of their beauty. Quebec has the 19th century architecture and unique French culture, Toronto has the large cities and marvellous skyscrapers, Alberta has the vast mountain scapes and beautiful national parks, BC has the amazing sunsets and gorgeous beaches. These things are in fact, great, however what about all the other provinces? We to are unique, yet we are ignored as if we are the territories.
That is not true. Not only have BC and Alberta great scenery but also the other provinces but they are very different. Saskatchewan, has the prairies and the sand dunes north of Saskatoon and their National Park. The prairies with their different wildlife and their grass, with their fields of wheat, canola oil, corn, etc. Manitoba, again a prairie province but they have at Churchill the annual Polar Bears coming to town during October/November at the Hudson Bay. Ontario has many lakes with quite a few Provincial Parks, like Algonquin, and at Kenora with wildlife teeming, like Black Bear, Deer, Wolves, Bobcats, Lynx, Coyotes, Moose and Foxes and hills for skiing, and big cities like Toronto. Quebec is another province with a lot of lakes and have similiar wildlife like Ontario and hills/mountains for skiing in the winter and great cities like Montreal and Quebec City, English/French bilingual and great French inspired food and the old European charm of the old quarters of these cities. The Maritime Provinces are very different altogether, like Newfoundland with their coasts of rocks, cliffs, their National Parks and again wildlife and their accent/dialect and their Scottish, Irish, Celtic culture, music. Labrador has a lot forests and lakes and not many people live there. New Brunswick is a bilingual province and has the same animals as what we have in Ontario, Quebec, like Black Bear, Moose, Deer, Lynx, Bobcats and a lot of lakes for fishing. Nova Scotia is famous for their Lobster, Atlantic Salmon, Antlantic Scallops and other type of Seafood and Fish. PEI is more famous for their potatoes and clams. And don't forget the Yukon which is the northern extension of BC but less populated but still has the Rocky Mountains, the rivers, lakes and wildlife. The same goes for the North West Territories except this is the land of the arctic and therefore, the land of the Innuit people and their traditions or the land of the northern sun, 6 months of darkness and 6 months of daylight. This same environment you can find in Nunavut. Canada does not only include BC and Alberta because it is a very big country and therefore has a lot differences between provinces but a lot of beautiful places even though they might not have the Rocky Mountains it does not mean that they don't have a bautiful landscape.
siggi zippan I get what you’re saying, by the fact is, in international (and hell even national) circumstances, provinces BESIDES BC, Quebec, Alberta and Ontario, and regularly forgotten about and neglected. All I’m sayin is is that it’s such a shame the beauty of these other provinces are easily pushed away. That’s what I mean when I think the title should’ve been “Alberta and BC alive”
@@yoda5280 I dont know I live in toronto, and we learn a lot about each province (and how everyone hates and makes fun of toronto)! Saskatchewan is one of the most important provinces being the bread basket of the world, Alberta, BC and Quebec for the reasons you stated, for Ontario I'd say sadly its only Toronto whose known, and the Maritimes for their costal beauty! The maritimes are a bit hard to differentiate in terms of culture and styles internationally, and I'd say Manitoba I agree is a little forgotten... THe territories are also really famous though! Yukon for the gold rush mainly, the northwest for the northern beauty and supervolcano, and nunavut as an Inuit land. A lot of people know these places in canda (maybe not by name, but are recognizable as canadian)!

I look at this and think “I wish I lived here”. I literally live in Canada and if I really feel like it I can take a 15h drive to some of these places.

Probably should’ve just had the title as “BC and Alberta alive”
This exactly. Beautiful video but most of Canada looks nothing like this.
A masterclass in timelapsing
It was very beautiful ♥️
