They know when the mothers and calves come up through the straits were the water is small enough that it makes it easy to kill the baby calf. Once the Orca pode learns how to do this they will never stop. Then go on to teach others how to do it. There are getting to be to many Orcas because they don't have any natural predators. Why do we "NEED" them all free? I know a bunch of seals and penguins that would disagree with you! We need some in captivity so that people who don't have the means to go offshore can watch them in action. And a lot of people make a living at SeaWorld. Having those whales in captivity create jobs, and create amusement for the planet's Managers and apex predators - humans. We get to do whatever we want and everything else has to just like it and live with it. @ninjersey9476 they can't even bite into flesh or blubber and they have to slurp up prey like smaller fish or much more flexible and easy to swallow squids, I don't think they have a powerful bite
@DeadHead7337 the 19000 psi estimate was based off of an orca breaking a trainers femur. First of all, animals with way less than 19000 psi of bite force have broken human femur with their bite. 2nd of all, the broken femur was actually caused by an orca jumping onto the trainer and not a bite, so there wasn't even any bite that gave a clue to how strong the bite would have been. The 19000 psi estimate is absolutely fucking stupid because of those reasons
