I feel so bad, but so pleased at the same time. Since there seemed to be little to no interest in the build off, I canceled it, not knowing that Jim had planned on making a casting for it. Perfect choice, and I knew where those decals came from ;) Thanks Jim!
Do not feel bad about it Jamie - it was a fun build! One of the ways I avoid stress with the hobby is to not commit to an event until I pretty much have the build completed - that was if something comes up, I run into problems, etc., I haven't promised to do the build so there's no stress as a result. I had a blast doing the build and I really appreciate that you suggested the build, so even though the actual build-off was cancelled, I wanted to mention that I wouldn't have done it without the idea that came from you.
Love what you made it into . WOW . I really like this casting and I still look for the T Hunt of it . Amazing job. Really looks like it came off the pegs . Mike
Great looking little casting, I love the number as well, has significance to me too. Great fun watching and the result was fabulous! Thanks for posting it!
Thanks! The white decal paper cheat has worked so darn well for me...and I always have scraps of white decal paper laying around from other decals I've printed.
@@geoffersongeofferies477 I haven't done a video yet, but Paul Youdelis over at Fat Guy Productions has a great video showing the process pretty much the same as I do it with my HP LaserJet. I started out with a color inkjet printer (a VERY cheap one lol) that worked wonderfully as a starting point. Somewhere along the way, I became fascinated with the possibility of doing white toner decals - so I purchased a refurbished HP Color Laserjet Pro M254dw through Amazon and I'm still VERY happy with the results...at a relatively low cost of entry. I purchased the white toner cartridge from a place called Toner Stop (through eBay as I recall) and I'm still using that first cartridge.
I love the Gulf cars, big part of my collection. So it hurts a little to see one dismantled. But i love your restoration so much I'll get over it. Thanks for another great video.
Funny conversion. When I read the caption in the thumbnail, I secretly wished that the goat would make that typical police noise. When it actually did, I had a huge fit of laughter. 😂🙃😆🤣I imagine this muscular Fiat keeping law and order in various Italian city districts.🚔
That darn Goat! I'm glad he didn't disappoint! I really look forward to giving the goat different, unexpected...or maybe hoped for lol...sounds. Every now and then I need to revert to the "standard" goat sound just to remember what it's like lololol
I LOVE this casting! Man, wish I had the gulf and your fantastic build!! Can’t get enough of the Fiat 🤤🤤🤣😎 let me know when she goes on the Auction block!! ❤
@@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms yes! It’s really cool to see them and worth admiring them! The Fiat modified is just super cool! I’m going to add hatch supports on mine that I’m working on! 😅😎
Thanks! It would be easy enough to move the plate, but I think of the bonnet on this as being "fixed" in place, much like that of the Kool Kombi -- it's not something that can or would be lowered lol
Thanks! I do make my own decals as needed for projects. For this build, it was a combination of some decals from Second Chance Redlines and some custom decals I printed.
If you did pull over for this, I'm certain you would lose the respect of everyone you know lol Besides, I really want to see this thing try to do a PIT maneuver lololol
id have to laugh if this tried to pull someone over. it would be like getting pulled over by a vespa lol. looks great actually better than it did. hope all is well jim
I happened to have this Hot Wheels Fiat from some purchases last year. To remove the paint, I use a product called Citrus Strip. Thank you for watching!
Nice build, details and paint job 👌 👍
Thanks Joe!
Great looking police car!
Thanks Greg!

Thanks Mike! It was a kick in the pants turning this into a police car lol
To quote the Inspector Gadget movie "Look it's the hatchback police", ha ha ha. A great little build, that turned out wonderfully.
Thanks John! lol

Great build. Your cars always look awesome
Thanks so much Andre!
Great Goat, that was a fun build! Have a blessed 5/18! Prayers of thanksgiving and safety for all law enforcement members out there!
Thanks so much David!
Love it! Reminds me of a Gulf Oils Fiat that appeared in advertising in the early eighties: fat wheels, silly engine, and all! Great stuff!
🤣🤣🤣 Loved stripping that Gulf livery off...I'm certain making some scream lol...and giving it the police treatment.
Great choice on the casting. Clever cheat with the white decal paper! Nicely done Jim. As always.

That’s the next step for me: decals. Have you done a how to video yet? I’d be curious to see your process. Thanks Jim.

Awesome job Jim 🌴👍👍😎🌴
Thanks David!
Cool version. The casting actually made a good choice for a police cruiser lol.
Thanks Keith! If all police cruisers were Fiats, you never would have gotten a ticket in your lifetime lol
I love the little police car Jim! Awesome job
Thanks!
Another great video as always there Jim never seen a little Fiat police car but that thing looks really cute have a good one and God bless my friend
Thanks JC! I hope you have a wonderful week!

LOL I knew that some people would cringe when they saw the Gulf livery go away Mike...but around my bench, nothing is safe LOL Thanks so much!
Enjoyed watching this build. Thanks for sharing, Jim. BTW, happy anniversary!
Thanks Skip!
Nice job….sounds like you had fun building it
Thanks! I had a blast working on it!
Great job Jim 👍🏻
Thanks Mark!
@@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms you're welcome 😊
This is awesome. I might actually consider breaking a law to get to ride in a police car like this. Fantastic build!!
LOL something tells me that being in handcuffs in the back seat of that tiny car isn't a comfortable place to be lol
Great little build, Jim!
Thanks Paul!

Thanks so much!
Love it, Jim!

I happened to buy my own HW Fiat in Gold with racing graphics for my Mobil Gas Station diorama layout today.
It's a great little casting!
Cool cop car, my brother.
Thanks Gary!
Haha. This looks so cool. Would work in italy, but mabye nor in tje states. Cool idea
Thanks Morten!
Great result, but so many would loved that Gulf :(. I
Thanks Cristi! For those that would have loved the Gulf, there are hundreds of them available right now on eBay.
Nice! Even better if the plate would be on the open bonnet like in the ‘60s fiat 500 😊

Thanks Charles! I could see you driving it...and laughing all the time!
@@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms you wouldn’t be able to get the grin off my face, 😂!!!

Mini cops lol...❤
