    Freddie writes and sings with pure passion. He wore his heart on his sleeve and, lucky for us, shared it with us.

    Absolutely gorgeous song. Just Freddie's vocals layered. Excellent reaction.

      Those backing vocals are practically exalted. Freddie executed those solo harmonies to perfection.

    The amazing thing about this song is that it is all Freddie, harmonizing with himself just as he did in the opening section of Bohemian Rhapsody. I do prefer the simpler but hauntingly beautiful live version performed at Hyde Park. It's good to see you reacting to Queen again, I always appreciate your take on the album tracks.

    I prefer the simple live vocal that Freddie did before it was recorded. He's so vulnerable in it.

      Wow! His tone and temperament are pretty vulnerable in the recorded version. If he's even moreso in the live performance, then I definitely look forward to seeing it!

    Another beautiful vocal by Freddie. This was also done in concert with just him and piano, both versions are beautiful but I prefer, just him and piano vversion.

    Freddie ensured us a little insight into his soul with a song that is able to touch everybody's heart.

      Absolutely! When Freddie bared his soul on record, it resulted in sonic masterworks.

    The live version from 1976 before this was recorded was especially touching and more intimate, imo. I love that one more, actually. Freddie as so emotional and beautiful, all by himself on his piano when the rest of the band was taking a break. Thank you! I still love the studio version.

      Oh okay, so the others were on vacation, that's why it's just about all Freddie. Kinda reminds me of one of those previous Roger led songs where he did all the vocals himself. They work perfectly in sync together but it's interesting when some of their songs is largely performed solo.

    I think the melody line is sublime. Of course the harmonies etc, but let's just appreciate the unique melody of this song in an unusual scale, very atypical, very creative.

      Definitely a sublime melody and Freddie's voice executes the melody flawlessly.

    I love it! "You Take My Breath Away" demonstrates Freddie's exploration of acapella harmonies before transitioning into one of the most heartfelt piano ballads he ever wrote. It's a piece of subdued but immense beauty and unspeakable emotion.

    Ooooooh, the harmonies whisk you away!! In this case, Freddie performed the song live first at Hyde Park before it was recorded (for that special someone who was in attendance). Beautiful. I love how Brian’s guitar sounds similar to a cello or something like that. Anyway, love it! 🥰

    • @AceM-Reacts
      @AceM-Reacts  2 месяца назад

      Yes! Brian's guitar definitely has a genteel quality to it that peacefully meshes into the song's softness! The "dance" between Freddie's piano and Brian's guitar is always killer!

    This song has a sweeping majestic feel to it. Freddie does all the vocals himself. There are several theories about this song and who it might've been about, if anyone at all. Freddie usually didn't revealed the explicit motivations behind his music though, so it's all just speculation. But to me, this song is basically a solo Freddie number with a "guest" appearance by Brian on guitar.

    Such a beautiful song! Please react to the 1976 version at Hyde Park with just Freddie on the piano before it was recorded.. my personal favorite. Delicate yet heart wrenching. Thank you for your reactions.
