I did a 4,000 micron mirror polish on my 1911 and then DLC coated it. Looks amazing! It looks like a black mirror when you look straight at it, and it almost looks chrome when you look at it from an angle 💯🔥

Skip has done my guns with 3lb triggers. It is all you need, even for a race competition. I made the mistake of using a Glock for a duty gun playdate competition, and OMG, it was like a rusty gate. Skip's triggers are fantastic.

Would you consider talking about why the slide would lock back after each round fired and how to get the mush out of thumb safety’s? Love the channel. I learn so much from you. Thanks!
Your slide lock prob needs the detent track modified or your hitting it when shooting. Thumbsafteys need replaced can’t really fix mushy just replace and fit properly

Agree with your trigger theory. A 2.5-3 lb trigger with short reset and minimal takeup is ideal. Probably too light for EDC for a novice.
