Worked like a charm - unplug power cable, plug back in… short pins 1 & 6 - power up, wait for beep, remove the short ( I used fine pointed tweezers ) wait a minute or so - Done 😊

I had a post-loop/no-bios problem with a gigabyte GA-H77M-D3H motherboard, no idea how I got there (just cleaning computer and adding an ssd). The DualUEFI/DualBIOS menu would only show the title bar, then the system would try to reboot. Sometimes it managed to create the beep for the missing keyboard.
I used a combination of the following tips (shorting pins 1&6 on m-bios, different combinations of durations and orders of pressing reset & powerswitch (on psu/mb), after which, at some point, the system managed to start the UEFI repair menu where the original bios was restored.
    Method #1:
    1. Shut your PC down (if you're reading this guide, than your PC isn't working anyways)
    2. Hold the power button until the PC starts and shuts down again
    3. Press the power button again, your backup BIOS should kick in now and should re-flash the main BIOS if there's anything wrong with it.
    Method #2:
    1. Shut your PC down
    2. Hold the power AND the reset button for about 10 sec, than release.
    3. Backup BIOS should kick in anytime soon now.
    Method #3:
Had to use this one in order to get my 990FXA-D3 working again. Backup BIOS kicked in using method #2, but I was back to the good ol' no signal state once the procedure finished..
    1. Short out pins 1 and 6 on the main BIOS chip (pin #1 should be marked with a red dot or whatever)
    2. Tell a friend (or a relative) of yours to press the power on button
    3. Remove the ghetto-like jumper you're holding between pins 1 and 6 as soon as you hear a beep.
    4. Backup BIOS should kick in again and everything will (hopefully) be fine.

For me this isn't functional at all, not any of known methods 😮‍💨
Bios keeps going thru post then start dualBios screen and then restart again and again. But this is how I was figured it out...
Main board is GA-F2A68HM-DS2 and bios chips are MX25L6406E.
    1. shut off PC and unplug power
    2. carefully cut or disconnect (desolder) pin no.8 on M_BIOS (this is VCC 3.3V) - so the main bios is now legitimately dead (like unplugged)
    3. start PC, now (for me) pc restarts cca 3 times then dualBios screen shows up, but now, it shows me options for main bios recovery - stay here and do next step
    4. now, very carefully solder pin no.8 on M_BIOS back 😅- yes, during live state (if your mobo hasn't integrated GFX, you may have problem with this point, so you may solder cable to chip pin and cable to board solder point and then you just connect cables... and after all procedures you just solder pin back to board when it's all off)
    5. now do recovery of main bios from backup...
After this, system restart 1-2 times then start normally, you may must set some defaults on bios or whatever u want.
    😘

I tried this on GA-F2A68HM-HD2 (rev. 1.0) but no beep even after 60 seconds. How long should it take? Normally takes 18 seconds from switch on to BIOS logo screen.

Hello I have a problem I was unscrewing the stands that keep the heatsink lifted above. Now when I try to screw it back the screws are loose and won't go tight. Was something holding it below? Please I need an answer

*Before you potentially damage your motherboard by shorting the wrong pins you should try less risky methods.*
Look at Methods 1 and 2, the 3rd seems to be the same as in this video:
    superuser.com/questions/1141050/how-to-force-gigabyte-motherboard-to-boot-in-the-backup-bios-by-shorting-pins-on
Another 3rd non-invasive method to kickstart the backup recovery BIOS:

@@stacrime4487 It was quite a journey to fix my brothers PC and we found the jumper method impractical and unsafe from the start. It is weird that the dual BIOS recovery is nowhere officially documented but its praised all over in marketing the board. Glad it helped you too.
BTW, what where you doing? Did you update your BIOS? Just being curios.
