RUclips Recommendation is so random, took 4 years to see tourists get emotionally connected to a country. Also didn't know Nepal had the most tourist return percentage, thanks for that info.
I was in Kathmandu 2019. I have been traveling there regularly since 1990. What I noticed this time is how arrogant the young dope sellers have become around the tourist areas. You used to just be able to say no thanks, now they follow you and demand to know why not? Tourists don't need this and they will not return if that is their experience.
Watching this video after four years, I think this has just been the right time. Cause then we were rebuilding ourselves after the earthquake, but now we're fighting against a pandemic. The county's tourism industry has basically ceased to exist and it's forcing millions of people out of jobs. This video is as relevant now as it was then. We have to rebuild again and this time we're all together in this. Do visit our country once this all gets dealt with. Fancy a trip to upper Mustang? That's an entire bucket list on its own and an equally if not even a lot more adventurous and surely memorable journey? Much love from this peaceful country nestled between the mighty Himalayas till then!
yes I really fancy a trip to upper Mustang! I trekked Birethanti-Ghorepani to Ghandruk in 2017 and if it wasn't for corona I would be in Nepal now for a 3 month stay.. I'm planning to return again in 2021. Do you think a reasonably fit 71 year old could do a trip to upper Mustang?
@@NewZman23 yeah, you should be able to do it but depends on whether you're going on foot or by a vehicle. It's tough and adventurous none the less. But, if you have someone to accompany you and you've done trekking, long distance trekking before then you should be able to do it. Do mind the timing of your trip as a pleasant weather will help you a lot. But there's tons of materials to read and watch regarding upper Mustang so you should get all the knowledge regarding the trip beforehand. This is a moderate level trek so it's definitely not for beginners but as you've done trekking in Nepal before, you should be able to do it. So keep fit and be well informed and you're gonna have a hell of a time in upper Mustang, Lo Manthang, the forbidden kingdom.
I have already booked and paid with hearts and tears with their 'into thin air' tour I'm really looking forward to this experience. Any comments from anyone who has already done it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You For Promoting our Country Nepal 🇳🇵💖 I request every tourist to visit our country for once so that you will visit again twice after visiting for the first time as the beauty of our country attracts to you again and again😊🌻
I agree bro. Once visited, it's hard not to return. I visited for the first time in 1982 and I fell in love with your beautiful Desh as i flew into Tribhuvan airport.. I have visited 9 times since then - including attending 3 village wedding celebrations and one city wedding... The last time i was there was in 2017 when at age 69 I trekked to Ghorepani and Ghandruk. I planned to be back in Nepal right now, but Corona stopped my plans. Now my plan is to be there in one year's time in 2021. Jai Nepal 😊🙏
Hello Craig Hembrow, Tomorrow is my exam but I am here seeing your video. You have no idea how refreshed I am after witnessing those wonderful terrains and voices. Travelling is so divine and when it comes to travel in Nepal, I would say, it's something beyond divine!! I would also recommend you (or anyone reading the comment) to go for ABC (Annapurna Base Camp) and EBC (Everest Base Camp). As someone told in video, it is not just a trek. It will put you in different dimension of reality. Thanks for promoting Nepal. Lots of love. PS Hope to see more of your videos regarding Nepal
Hi Craig, Awesome video ! I am planning a motorcycle trip to Nepal from India, Gorakhpur to Pokhra and then till Muktinath or Lo Manthang. Please suggest in many days(round trip) is do able. Regards, Tenth rider
wow...u people make me feel proud to be a nepali.....being a nepali we dont even know our resources, beauty ...its all because we have a boundary so we arenot able to see these all in our childhood but i promise my self nowadays that i will contribute what ever i can
Man i don't know what a vlog should be like but after seeing this what I think is it's something more than that. It caught me from start up to the end and I was expecting more. Keep loving and visiting Nepal. We Nepalese always welcome people like you. And great work. 👌
I am watching this in 2020, such a wonderful docu- drama ...thanks for exploring my country and encouraging sustainable tourism Craig...subscribed to your channel. keep creating more videos like this in the future

this is such an awesome integration of the moments, people and culture. Thank you for thinking about my country. we would always be delighted to welcome cool tourists such as yourselves. :)
I always cringe when I see people spinning the prayer wheels in the wrong direction. Ive been to Nepal twice and its not hard to learn a bit of the culture before going. Those customs are important to them and should be respected. Clockwise... Om mani padme hum.
@@MrLanghalee But at least you learned it and now respect the tradition and at least she didn't beat you for your mistake...:-) Sometimes our mistakes are the best way, and sometimes the only way we can learn.
God, this video was uploaded in 2016, I found it now after 4 years. So good documented video, why youtube was hiding this? By the way, @Craig Hembrow, no more video, just one?
