OMG THIS snowflake crochet granny square is so beautiful and looks easy to do. I can't wait till your pattern comes out. Out of all the snowflake patterns I've tried they are hard to do. I want to make this snowflake granny square for a Christmas blanket. I'll try to watch your tutorial again and write down the pattern. I'm so excited. Thanks for sharing Mrs portia
So easy to follow snow flake love how you show how to do stitches and not to fast well done When will you do a you Tube to join them please as I have been doing the snowflakes
Thank you so much for uploading this video. I was using a pattern I got from Pinterest and when it came to the pattern for the red yarn, I didn't understand what the pattern meant by the spaces between the double crochets. Your visual tutorial cleared that right up for me. Thank you ever so much!
Fantastic easy to follow I am a beginner love this I made it but still need to do more my first snow flake done hope you do more like this Thankyou thankyou maybe a full Christmas blanket that I can watch
Thank you so much for making this video!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! ❤️ I have been eyeing this snowflake pattern from 101 Crochet Squares by American School Of Needlework for a long time. ❄️❄️❄️ I do much better following videos than reading patterns, so this is a godsend for me!!!
This is so amazing thanks my time is spent pretty much now in a chair I have ms it’s progressed but doing this has helped what a beautiful square. I love this so much. Also ur voice is clear and easy to understand follow. Thanks again Jodi
magic loop, 16 DC, / chain 5, DC into same space, *skip next space, DC, chain 2, DC* / chain 3, DC into same space, chain 3, 2 DC into same space - repeat 2 DC, Chain 3, 2 DC for whole round / slip stitch into first chain 3 space, *3 DC, chain 3, 3 DC* in these spaces for round / slip stitch into chain 3 space, *4 DC, chain 2 , 4 DC* for round.
wow I'm lost. the glare on the white table using white yarn, plus an angle so weird I didnt see you were going into spaces because you were saying stitches one time and then spaces the next. sorry. it just wasnt good. and as mentioned, a wobbly table? And please use correct terms. to write a pattern you skip stitches or spaces not "areas"
I totally feel your pain! LOVE the square and afghan, but the filming was at a distance and the instructor's thumb is in the way. Very frustrated. Zooming in would help.
This snowflake crochet granny square is pretty. I been wanting to learn to make this snowflake granny square.I'm.making this for my Aunt a Christmas blanket. Thank you. I'm making me one too. I got this same color red yarn.too..that was gave to me. One roll. I hope it's a note . But if not it be good practice piece.
I love this snowflake square. You did a great job making the tutorial easy to understand. I thought this snowflake would be much harder to make. It is something that I will be able to stop in the middle and know where I am to start again. Have you posted the second part of the tutorial yet? I can't wait to make this afghan. It will be blue and white so it can be out all winter.
Thank you. I'm swiftly working on The Afghan. I'm absolutely loving the way it's coming out. It will probably be another few weeks because of video editing and Afghan making.
My first square was too full on the "red" rounds. I chained 2 instead of 3 in the corners of both rounds. Then on last round, after the corner, * DC 4, HDC 2, SC 7, HDC 2, DC 4*, then a corner. The use of the HDC 's stepped the pattern down and looked better to me. Hope this isn't too confusing.
Love this pattern have subscribed to your channel however, you indicated there would be a written pattern out for this I don't see it. I check with local book store and there are two versions of the book you mentioned 101 crochet squares do you know what the published date was? Thanks so much starting to work on my Holiday gifts and think this would be beautiful as gifts. Best Regards,
Excellent tutorial, thank you. After reading the comments, it occured to me that this pattern was really just a modified granny square: 16 DC then create 8 triangle openings then 8 corners into those openings and then just look for the opening on each of the 8 peaks, each row, for your next row of corners. If you inspect your work, each row and count eight, you won't make a mistake (like I did).🎅
I used mine in a Christmas afghan that I made. There's a tutorial on that on my channel. You can also stitch them together using a large needle. Or crochet them together.
I know that Red Heart or Yarnspirations has a pattern similar. Also, check out the Crochet Crowd site. Mikey has tons of videos including a snowflake blanket tutorial. It is not the same one as this, but VERY similar. Good luck searching and have fun crocheting!!! Check out Creative Grandma's site too. She has good patterns but have to pay for written. Her videos are easy to follow.

Awesome tutorial! Thank you!
Thank you for the great tutorial
Oh i love it...thank you so much. Well explaniert.
This pattern is actually called Snowfire. I made a queen size Afghan for my niece years ago. 😊💖

Part one of the" Christmas in the Air" afghan is on my channel. I would love to see a pic of your one in blue if you decide to make it in this style.
I love this pattern. Rows counts would be helpful. Thank you.
Thanks so much! I love it!
Thank you Lady 🌸
Georgeus!!😊thankou much!!
Thank you so much for doing this. Very easy to follow and not hard at all. The only problem was the wobbly table I heard.
You're welcome. Lol! Yes, that darn wobbly table! I've since moved my filming off of the antique furniture!
I actually thought it was a drum 🥁

Sounds like a great variation. I'll have to give it a whirl. Thank you!
perfect!

The drum sound in the background is literal torture

Would this be the size of a 5 round granny square?
Having a hard time deciding on how to join them...what did you do to join them?
I used mine in a Christmas afghan that I made. There's a tutorial on that on my channel. You can also stitch them together using a large needle. Or crochet them together.
To anyone out there. How many granny squares do I need to make a throw😸

I keep ending up with 9 points instead of 8. What am I doing wrong?
Me too
I really want to learn it but cannot tolerate that sound
Lol! Sorry it was filmed on an antique desk.
How can print the written directions?
This may not be HER pattern, but it's written: graciousrain.com/snowflake-hotpad/
thank you so much but please don't use this wobbly table next time. It was really on my nerve.
