I feel you found the sweet spot there and the drone is at a level that wouldn't bother me. I think you can converse with someone, have a blue tooth phone call or listen to the radio without a problem too.
No drive by clips handy, but there are some more sound clips here: cyphervehicledesign.com/collections/exhaust/products/beautifully-brutal-sound-muffler-delete-carrera-models
Nice setup…. To get my sound where I wanted I went a similar route. Fabspeed headers into fabspeed 200 cel catted x-pipe, into muffler bypass. Sound is great 👌🏾
Great video and very timely as I'm looking for a new exhaust for my 997.1. I'm considering the cargraphic valved side mufflers along with a set of headers and 200 cell x=pipe just because we do some longer drives (6+ hours) to get to events and I'd like to be able to have a conversation with the wife or listen to some music on those drives. Seems like the muffler bypass would get old on a drive like that.
Appreciate you watching. Glad you found it helpful. I agree that having a valved exhaust would make more sense for your use case. I may consider one myself down the road, but love this setup for now.
I also got the muffler bypass, but the drone is terrible. Does the 200-cell cat help remove some of the worst drones? It's between 2500-4000 rpm at its worst. But besides that, the sound is amazing!
@@nineelevensouth Nice! Looking forward to it. I have a 997.2 C4S and would like to replace the seats. I have been considering the Sportster CS but worried about fitment based on forums.

Agreed. I feel like the trade off for incredible sound overall is worth it.
Any drive by shots to hear the muffler by pass!! It sure sounds a lot better than before.

Some form of that combo seems to be the sweet spot if you want loud and aggressive with a touch of refinement and not too much drone
Thanks for sharing! It looked like the bumperette delete plate vibrated a bit. Maybe some 3M double-sided molding tape to take care of that? 7:12
Yep. It would def do the trick
This sounds great ! My factory PSE is getting very corroded now, so i may look at this setup !

Sounds great!
Thanks!

Def seems to help tighten up and “refine” the bypass. Not too much drone
Very cool sound and better look with the bumperette delete. Did you consider a European rear bumper?
Thanks! Not really, the delete panel solution is simple and inexpensive. Does the trick
What seats do you have in your 997? I didn't see a video when you replaced them.
Recaro Sportster CS. It will be the next video on my channel.

Call me crazy, but I almost prefer the bumperette’s.
I’ve never understood why US cars have to have those ridiculous bumperettes, but European/rest of world cars don’t have them
@@edwardblackman6859 the U.S. and ROW (rest of world) have different crash safety standards that drive differences like this.
