I remember back in the day Eat N' Park were the local sponsor for Mr. Rogers on PBS.
I've been to many a branch of Eat n Park and to the set where they filmed the Neighborhood of Make-Believe for Mr. Rogers Neighborhood.
there was one in Belden in canton it's now an Italian restaurant
All of the bay window areas were filled with assorted indoor fake plants and small trees. We have 1 Eat n Park still open here in Erie, Pa. Food is so so. Salad bar not all that. Delicious potato soup.

I never heard of eat & park before which is kind of sad because it looks like a place I might enjoy eating at myself! Nice filming! I wonder, how long they were in business for?
Eat N Park is a typical American family restaurant. They serve burgers, salads, some fish, chicken, and breakfast. I work at one 😄 They’re mainly in PA from what I’ve seen, but used to serve Ohio, Pa, and West Virginia.

They closed 5 est n parks in N.E. Ohio in February to concentrate on new concept restaurants bistro burgers and salads
Decent food and a big salad bar. They gave smile cookies to the kids. Still open in Pittsburgh area.

I remember being told that when they opened in Austintown, that they never rented, but owned their locations. Sometimes construction took a year. They are famous for grilled sticky buns and smile cookies.
This just closed fairly recently. Ate there not too long ago.
They had pies & smiley face cookies in the display. The one giant bay window where a random sink was, is where the bathrooms are located. I don't remember if there was anything in the windows, maybe at one time there was some fake greenery.

We had a good Eat ‘N Park here in the Parma, OH area for about 20 years, and that was probably the first Eat ‘N Park to close here in Northeast Ohio...now it seems they pulled out of NE Ohio altogether now.
I was told it closed due to the rent was going up too high!
@@RyGuy0520True, now a US Bank is going in there, from my understanding. They closed that branch down the hill from there waaay too prematurely, imho.

*_Kara and I ate at this location many times. I believe it closed in January of this year if I remember correctly. Sad to see it gone. It was one of the few good places open 24 hours._*
_In that one window, they had different foliage. Think it was all fake, but I do remember green plants around those windows._

Eat'n Park was a pretty big deal around the Harrisburg Pennsylvania area which included Cumberland dolphin county and Franklin county Pennsylvania

Always love your videos Nate. I thought of you today when I went by the old Toys R Us in Louisville KY on Outer Loop. Since Wednesday they have taken the letters off the front and put up a Spirit Halloween sign. On the side the Toys R Us sign is still up but covered by plastic that looks like garbage bags! (The side has been that way since they closed)

Hard to think anything on that strip failed, it's so busy. (Well... okay, the mall died, but I think the overpopulated commercial road E&P was on was a major cause of that.)

You are in my old neighborhood. Used to love that place. Many fun memories in that Eat N Park Still drive out to the in Austintown one. They have a great bakery. They keep there cookies and yummy pies in that glass area . You should try it sometime

It hasn’t been closed for long. I was there in 2018. I’m thinking it closed late last year. They closed the one in boardman too.
