Hi, they shaved the back and front of my head - not all my hair I still had a section of hair between the front and the Donor area, but you will need to ask them what’s best for you x.
I used it, it is fine for me, I just made sure I washed my hair prior to surgery. Post surgery I would say wait for your scalp to heal and the scabs have gone, but check with the specialist before as the castor oil is thick (I used it months after). In the beginning I used more light oils like t444z and emergencia products, and I don't currently use castor oil.
I can relate I had to persuade someone to go with me and that meant paying for their flight, I really didn’t want to go alone as I was scared as well but having someone with me took away the nerves a little and the fact that I had enough with struggling I just made it work x
