I asked a couple of weeks back about this installment, not even thinking that it could be upsetting to put together, so well done for creating another beautiful vlog. ❤️
The pair of you are just adorable:) What a lovely holiday! That gifted air b&b was DEVINE! Thank you so much for this video!! It was so great to escape and see such beauty.
Your Australia vlogs are serving as my inspiration for my next holiday, I’m sad to say I haven’t been as inclined to explore my own backyard as I have been to travel overseas. But with overseas travel likely a long way off, and many communities trying to recover from the loss of the bushfires, it seems like the perfect time to get out and see more of Australia.
Brittany Bathgate I live in Geelong, sort of more towards the surf coast, which is beautiful as well. Haven’t ventured much outside Victoria except to Tasmania 🙈
You looked so tanned and dreamy bronzy 😍 also the places you stay at are just amazing. Your vlog is like a short movie, in a very good way, which I love. Thanks Brittany x
Sooooo excited to watch this! I was living in Aus for just over two years but due to Covid lost my job and had to move back to England!, this makes me miss it sooo much but awesome to see it:) glad you had a great time ✨✨
I'm so sorry to hear this! The exact same thing almost happened to my sister because she wasn't entitled to any help from the government, so we were all getting ready for her to return home, but by a stroke of luck she's managed to stay there. I hope you get the opportunity to return soon. I miss it soooo much too ❤️
This was lovely! I’ve loved all 3! Makes me appreciate all the traveling I’ve been able to do so much more, and I will never take any of it for granted again. Even the jet lag.
So interesting to watch someone else explore my back yard, I live in Currumbin quite near to Stable and the wildlife sanctuary so I have been to pretty much everywhere you visited at some point - Fingal is such a great spot and I love Byron. You guys got around alot in your 4 weeks - glad you love it here.
We love Stable! And that whole complex of shops/businesses. It's so great to see things like that opening up on the Gold Coast. I miss Australia so much, but fingers crossed we can come back around Christmas time depending on what the travel restrictions are like.
After seeing all the fabulous airnb&b you have been staying I can see how your house has been inspired by it. I have loved admiring the interiors as much as the outside! You mentioned a hummus you like in Australia. Have you tried SABRA hummous from Sainsburys? It is v velvety , might be similar xxx
I'd definitely recommend trying to dive deep under the waves next time your there and feel it roll over your body, it's amazing and one of my most missed thing about home. Ps those jellyfish won't harm you, my siblings and I would throw the ones that washed up at each other as kids and they don't sting - it's the blue ones you have to watch out for.
Yes! I only really built up the confidence to try diving under the waves during the last week of the trip and it made such a difference to my sea swimming experience.
Hi Brittany !! Love love loving your videos lately, I find them so calming :) i actually have a question (on behalf of my mum heheh), where about is your decking tint from?☺️
Love watching your travel vlogs! Btw would you recommend the worn tote or ford the straps hurt cuz they’re so thin? Are you wearing the tan or natural color? It’s beautiful!
this is such a lovely video!! its made me excited to go travelling once everything thats going on gets better! also if its okay, which camers do you use to vlog with?xx
Do the Maria Black hoop earrings hold up even though you wear them in the water? I’m asking because they aren’t solid gold and I would love to get them if they endure being worn when showering / swimming.
You'll never guess...Cotton On Body! Not the best shop, I know, but the cut of these vests is so good. I always buy a bunch when I'm over there and pretty much live in them all summer.
Ahhhh. No I wouldn’t of guessed and they change cuts all the time! So you nabbed a good one. To be honest I think the last time I was this interested in vests I was shopping for them in C&A so cotton on is an upgrade 😂👍🏾
Does anyone know the name of the song that’s played in the Mexican food track in the minute 21:24 that says “I just need somebody with me. Waiting lonely, I need you to call me”. I can’t find it anywhere! Thanks xx
as a nonwhite australian, it is frustrating when in only a few videos previous you mentioned wanting to educate yourself and move forwards with BLM movement, and yet in an hour long video about Australia which has some of the most disproportionate rates of incarceration of indigenous and black people in the world, and is founded on the genocide of a bla(c)k indigenous peoples you failed to mention anything not even via a snippet recorded in the present day or a little bit of text. i understand at the time of your trip perhaps you werent aware of the history (not a real excuse tho) but doing things such as referring to places via their true aboriginal names (acknowledging a history and existence that predates invasion) and when mentioning australia day giving context to the fact that it marks the beginning of a genocide that continues on to this day, doing things like that matters. its not enough to give a footnote a few days ago. theres a lot to be said about the continued use and occupation of Australian by white english people, it is not an attack but a plea for reflection. what place white english people hold in the history of australia, their continued role in immigration (the white australia policy) and how that flows into the modern day . your videos are beautiful, but they are so out of touch with the reality of many australians. (like using airbnb in byron (cavanbah) which is experiencing a major housing crisis *because* of the inflated holiday rental market, and the absence of any part or history of nonwhite australia).while not malicious in intent i think it requires a moment of thought.
Thank you for your comment. I understand your frustrations and hold my hands up - yes, I probably should have added something at the end of the video reflecting on the points you've mentioned. I do however stand by what I said in a previous vlog - things we see online are nuanced, especially these conversations and just because someone isn’t showing something on social media doesn't necessarily mean they are unaware of something or not educating themselves. I'm not naive to the history of Australia and in a previous video I have mentioned Mount Warnings indigenous name (I've now altered the videos title to reflect this name), but maybe I have been naive when thinking that other people do know and understand what Australia Day really marks and the history of the country. Thank you again for bringing this up, hopefully others will see this comment and prompt them to think past the nice visuals of the video.
@@BrittanyBathgate1 i think maybe my comment didnt really encapsulate what i was trying to say because maybe i was policing the way i was speaking in order to be heard? but what i was rly trying to say is that i thought was happening around the world was that the white majority was realising the true meaning of allyship, to be an ally, to be an anti racist, is to use your power that society has handed you because of your whiteness to amplify and spread and teach other white people( you are well positioned to do this considering your audience.) that is why even though the work people do in their private lives is in important equally as important is using your position of power which in your case is through social media. if your job was say in law or management or retail that is were your power would be and the expectation wouldnt be there for you to use social media in that way. but given you are making a profit and working via this medium i do still believe there is an intrinsic responsibility to say something. i never assumed you were 'naive' to australias history nor did i assume this video encapsulates every nuance of your work and opinions, my frustration was not only related to the specific things i brought up/ my frustration lies in the lack of understanding of the true work that must be done. it is not enough to work in private when you job is public. it simply isnt. to paraphrase kwame ture, -inaction, not saying something, is an action, it is to be against. if you are not fighting against oppression using your power in your work in your life, everyday, you are choosing the side of the oppressor, its as simple as that. by your very inaction you are against the people, there is no middle ground- this is not maliciously meant at all but it must be said. to be honest with you i am exhausted with having to try and explain this to ppl over and over. and i dont wish to continue on. but on a last note fundamentally you and i will be treated very differently in the country i was born in, even though you are/were a tourist here. the colour of my skin, my race, my heritage, impacts my life here everyday and the colour of your skin is part of a continued legacy in australia that you continue to benefit from even when simply on holiday, that is where my initial anger and frustration came from but what i wrote above is the true essence of what i am trying to say.
You're actually offering me one hour of the holiday I won't be able to get this summer. Can't wait to watch and probably re watch it!
woke up to a gloomy Monday but my mood was instantly turned around when I saw almost an hour long vlog!! yes Britt 🖤
Glad it's not too long! 😉❤️
Brittany Bathgate neverrr haha I could watch your vlogs all day!! and Australia is so beautiful - I’ve always wanted to go
Watched all 3 parts because I am missing traveling so bad and feeling all the Winter blues at the moment.
A lot of love from 2022
I just rewatched them 😭

You looked so tanned and dreamy bronzy 😍 also the places you stay at are just amazing. Your vlog is like a short movie, in a very good way, which I love. Thanks Brittany x
Absolutely lovely 🥰 and you're right, that Airbnb bathroom is stunning!
I have the same Vince slip dress. It’s such a dream. So comfortable with the double layers. One of my favorite items⭐️ Vince is such a dreamy brand🥰

When you said '...'94, that was so long ago. I was only 4 years old then.'...boy, I have never felt so old! I was 24 years old in '94. :-)
Yaay! Made my day! An hour of relaxation was just what I needed😍🧡☀️🍊
YAAAAASSSS I'm so ready for Part III !

I love the sound you make when you were comparing the size of the jellyfish with your hand hahaha. I feel related

This makes me miss my home so much -- you show it so well!
Next time you're in Coolangatta - you should try Top Noodle in The Strand shopping centre. Really good Japanese.
Loooove seeing you in my own stomping ground! Have enjoyed the Australia vlogs so much! Thank you!
Thank you! I miss it so much ❤️
Hi Brittany, wrong Wollumbin, Wollumbin was taken as the heritage and name of my family's peak and applied as a fake dual name to Mt Warning.
I miss summer, can't wait for beach holiday. Thanks for your video :)
Editing this together made me really crave a swim in the sea!
Hi Brittany !! Love love loving your videos lately, I find them so calming :) i actually have a question (on behalf of my mum heheh), where about is your decking tint from?☺️
Byron is my happy place too! Such a gorgeous vlog, Brittany! What size is your Vince dress?
I always so excited to see your video hahaha love it
Thank you! ❤️
Love watching your travel vlogs!

I can't wait! Even if it's just travelling around the UK for a bit until it's safer to go overseas. I use a Canon G7X ❤️
Waiting patiently for Aussie summer to return
but how was that slide?! 😅
That mountain climbing was something, the way I’m so afraid of heights, I would never

please come move to aus! Loved the vlog so much
Such a long vlog! I'm going to enjoy it now :D
I know! I can't believe how long it is. I'm so sorry if it's boring 😂
@@BrittanyBathgate1 Not boring at all!!! Always love your vids and this one really made me want to go to Australia! :)
