@nanczar, Yeah. Overdose is back from injury. But that injury was in 2009. He's been a sprint horse going back to 2007. Name me one time, in one race that Overdose has ever sprinted against a top, world class sprinter. Like Starspangledbanner, Sacred Kingdom, Equiano, Regal Parade, Kinsale King, Rocket Man, High Standing, Fleeting Spirit, or any of the other horses considered the best 5 and 6 furlong sprinters in the world? He hasn't. The best sprinters race in the UK, Australia, or Hong Kong.
Az USA-ban nem tudtam nezni a versenyt es megdobbenve olvastam, hogy "ervenytelenitettek" a futamot. Meg tudna-e mondani, hogy mi tortent? A Jockey hibas volt-e? Van-e arra esely, hogy fut a lo a Breeder's Cup-on Californiaban?
One of the gates didn't open. The race was disqualified and they decided to do the race again later on that day. Overdose always gave everything he got and if he entered, he could have been beaten. So the owners didn't want to take any risks on injuries and his undefeated status, so that's why he didn't run the 2nd on the same day. Which imo is very reasonable, microdamages in the bones, tendons and muscles after a race need time to heal before it becomes a serious injury...
@11Alpi, Overdose could possibly be the best 5 and 6 furlong sprinter in the world for all I know? But he's never going to be recognized as such until he's willing to travel, and race some of those sprinters that you listed above. Because they're certainly not going to travel to Hungary, Germany, Italy, or Slovenia to run in their sprints. That's not where the money or prestige for sprint racing is. If Overdose is the best? It's time he comes and shows everyone he is. IMO.
I do so really disagree with that... American horses can also travel to important races on other continents... There's more in the world than just America!
Btw black caviar was slower than Overdose. Check the times. BC never ran faster than 55,4 seconds while Overdose easily ran faster than 55 seconds every time...
Ez a ló külön versenyt fut... Kicsit vicces, hogy porig aláz más híres lovakat a pályán...
Ez a ló egy legenda lesz, biztos vagyok benne !
