That's not true in what you said. Personally i don't know about other parts of Christianity in the world, so can't speak to that, but it's true regarding Judaism, because of what they think Azazel does for them. In the Bible, Azazel is called the scapegoat because the original Hebrew was translated into 'the goat who departs. ' In the context of the first mention of the scapegoat (or Azazel) in Leviticus 16, the scapegoat was a goat who took on the sins of the Israelites and was set free into the wilderness. You can look it up for yourself. I've been saying this for years, that Christianity thinks Judaism is somehow their brother in Christ, when they are not.

Azazel is not a demon. Azazel was one of the original 200 Watchers who descended on Mt. Hermon and made a pact to corrupt humankind. It's in the Bible that this happened and the Book of Enoch lays this out. Demons are the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim that were wiped out in the flood. Angels are angels, demons are different. Azazel is a fallen angel. And the one thing that is correct was that he taught humans forbidden techs and skills meant only to remain in heaven. He was not cast to Earth as punishment he willingly came here with 199 other fallen angels. He was bound with the rest of them and cast into Dudael with the rest of the fallen.
