    Thank you! I've watched several tutorials trying to figure out where I was going wrong. I have Basic edition and your video was the only one to let me know how to use the pattern once downloaded. It saved me a lot of headache.

    This is great I really enjoyed learning how to add patterns. The part of using the sub folder to organize the papers was so helpful. Info for basic edition was just what I needed. Thanks 👍👋

    Great video🙂 I was trying to crop the design over the pattern and everything. I felt silly to see it was so simple. Now I've added patterned scarves and outfits to all my winter animal gift tags😍

    I assume you'd have to print and cut anything done like this? I'm a newbie to Silhouette. Thank you!

    Thank you for this awesome video! I do have a question though. I am able to make my words fill with a pattern with no problem at all, but when I try to do an design it turns into a box of the pattern I am wanting to use instead of filling the design itself. What I am I doing wrong? I have Silhouette studio basic edition.

    Thanks so much for your detailed tutorial. I'm learning a lot from it. I had started following from 2 other tutorials on etching metal/jewelry. And thought - when you added the glitter paper to patterns - that you were going to use the glitter as an added etch fill pattern. I was interested in seeing the results. So - does that work as a fill pattern for etching? I may be totally lost. Otherwise - what projects do you do with the glitter fill pattern as you have shown here in the last part of the tut? Thx

      Shirley Ellis crafters that work with heat transfer vinyl (HTV) or adhesive vinyls for customizing t-shirts, bags, signs, etc can see what their created designs would look like in glitter. This helps for customer visualization with changing colors in and textures the vinyl comes in.

      Okay. I get that. I need the visualization myself when planning a project. So - this has nothing to do with the fill patterns for engraving - right?

      Hi Shirley! This tutorial is more for those that need to see what things such as cups, tiles, decals, etc. would look like with a certain color or glitter vinyl or HTV when completed for their customers choices. As for engraving, there isn't really any colors that we can choose from since the color would be well, the metal itself unless you used something to color it in such as an ink or a sharpie marker. I hope this explains it better for you.

      @@CrystalGrayArt Again - thanks for your tutorials. You have brought another dimension to my crafting. Using the HL Blank Slate earrings, I have made 9 pair for Christmas gifts. I followed your template instructions too - especially after I ruined one because it moved. But here's my question: Even with the template set up and coordinated with the screen and mat - and centered on screen, the monogram kept being off center. Contrary to my usual perfectionism I am gifting them anyway. Because I'm out of time, and worn to a frazzle. But is there something I'm missing for this to be happening?

    This is a great totorial, but my question is, is this just for visual reference? You can't print these patterns, I don't understand why these patterns are here (in the studio) if this is all we can do with them. .

    • @CrystalGrayArt
      @CrystalGrayArt  6 лет назад +2

      Laurie Nunes - yes, you certainly can print these patterns ! People use patterns for things like invitations, business cards, logos and so much more. You can just print them or use the print and cut feature. Patterns can be used for so many things.
