I’m up to .19 which I feel good about for now. That’s currently about 20% of my total investment portfolio which I think is reasonable. I traded other coins to get an entire Bitcoin. Sold all my other coins early in the year and pushed it all in. Im up like $14,000. Bitcoin has changed my life. Not really interested in owning anything else now. May buy mining stock later in the year. I think owning a whole bitcoin is going to be a huge fucking deal. I have just over 1 whole coin but I’m so pissed that I didn’t get involved a decade ago….and don’t forget, there aren’t 21million coins, at least 3 million have been lost forever making each one so much rarer and more valuable!
Realistically it is even more about 6 million most likely lost forever with people losing keys which is an interesting debate if one day a million coins r unlocked (satoshi’s stash) if it plummets BTC price or not
the reverse could be said of me I am glad I got involved with crypto after losing my job at the time about a decade ago. I wish I would have gotten started in 2010 though when I first found out about BTC when it was $50.
For a person only owning 5 cents of a bitcoin, I am humbled that most the people at my work own none and aren’t gonna have any till 100k per coin for some. That’s 1000 sats per dollar. Way I’ve stayed stacking was the 96% loss in purchasing power of dollar. So its basically common sense, if your not hedging against inflation your losing.
Really like your videos. I have been into investing in Crypto for about 3 years now, and I am finally beginning to understand its importance, use and value. I just wish 3 years ago I would have fully understood the value of Bitcoin and what it means. I don't have much in total crypto assets (around $30,000.00) but it's taken me almost 3 years to do so. I dumped small amounts into crappy coins and projects, and now regret the get rich quick hopes I had when I started. If only I would have taken those few thousands of dollars and put it in Bitcoin when it was 9,000-12000 per coin.... My question to you is what the effect will be on price and scarcity when the whole worlds populations (not just the major countries but all governments and populations) get on board? 8.1 billion people are currently on earth, fighting for only around 15-16 million bitcoins. When I think of owning a full coin I imagine there are only $21 Million USD's in the world, and I own one of them, that's actually a pretty wild thought.
So continue to DCA and sell on occasion if you need dollars (I guess…). My biggest fear is the storage. Stick with COINBASE Wallet? Is that good enough? The “cold wallet” idea scares me because hardware can get scratched, etc. Why trust your digital asset to a piece of hardware? That makes no sense to me. If the 21M was equally distributed to everyone- 1/500th of one BTC per person. If 20% of the BTC weren’t already lost- which it is. So yes .21 BTC is huge!
I think I've got like .27 right now. It took me about 3 years to get that much. I mainly just do $25/week recurring buys no matter the price and do larger buys on dips. I haven't sold any and don't plan on it for at least the next few years.

I have most of it on a Ledger which isn't that easy to move and I have other wallets and exchange accounts with a limited amount for quick access to sell if needed. I have a good paying job and minimal expenses so I don't see myself ever needing to sell my BTC until I want to. I have stock that I'd sell before touching my BTC.

the reverse could be said of me I am glad I got involved with crypto after losing my job at the time about a decade ago. I wish I would have gotten started in 2010 though when I first found out about BTC when it was $50.
For a person only owning 5 cents of a bitcoin, I am humbled that most the people at my work own none and aren’t gonna have any till 100k per coin for some. That’s 1000 sats per dollar. Way I’ve stayed stacking was the 96% loss in purchasing power of dollar. So its basically common sense, if your not hedging against inflation your losing.

Really like your videos. I have been into investing in Crypto for about 3 years now, and I am finally beginning to understand its importance, use and value. I just wish 3 years ago I would have fully understood the value of Bitcoin and what it means. I don't have much in total crypto assets (around $30,000.00) but it's taken me almost 3 years to do so. I dumped small amounts into crappy coins and projects, and now regret the get rich quick hopes I had when I started. If only I would have taken those few thousands of dollars and put it in Bitcoin when it was 9,000-12000 per coin.... Watching your videos through the past year has made me grow and learn so much as an investor and I really appreciate it. Thank you. My question to you is what the effect will be on price and scarcity when the whole worlds populations (not just the major countries but all governments and populations) get on board? 8.1 billion people are currently on earth, fighting for only around 15-16 million bitcoins. Insane to think about.
Well, one of my buddies told me about it back in 2012, and I didn't pay attention. At least, I have some now. It's not too late. Hopefully, it'll skyrocket.

My biggest fear is the storage. Stick with COINBASE Wallet? Is that good enough? The “cold wallet” idea scares me because hardware can get scratched, etc. Why trust your digital asset to a piece of hardware? That makes no sense to me. As long as you have the 24 word phrase you can buy a new wallet and re store your crypto back into the new one

I made an embarrassing decimal point mistake many years ago while purchasing BTC and I have to say it was one of the best mistakes I've made.

If the 21M was equally distributed to everyone- 1/500th of one BTC per person. If 20% of the BTC weren’t already lost- which it is. So yes .21 BTC is huge!
I think I've got like .27 right now. It took me about 3 years to get that much. I mainly just do $25/week recurring buys no matter the price and do larger buys on dips. I haven't sold any and don't plan on it for at least the next few years.

I would keep it as an emergency account. But if you have to sell, only do it in percentages, never sell everything.
@javie793 That's pretty much how I treat it. I have most of it on a Ledger which isn't that easy to move and I have other wallets and exchange accounts with a limited amount for quick access to sell if needed. I have a good paying job and minimal expenses so I don't see myself ever needing to sell my BTC until I want to.

When I got baptized into the bitcoin space in 2017, my goal was 21 btc. This was priced at around $50k. Now the plebs must cope with .21 btc, and they’re paying nearly $11k for it. Tremendous
