I just went to the Perth Mint a couple weeks ago. Awesome place and loved the history... Ive just ordered the Bluebottle Jellyfish Proof Silver coin cant wait :P

I am not sure about the stated price, Perth Mint's price on this set is 749 AUD, what is around 388 GBP and gives around 77 GBP per ounce, not 50-55 as stated in the video...
I feel the gilded spoils the layout, it just doesn't belong. It looks like its there just to make up the numbers. They should have done 9 and not used the gilded. The design of the one bottom centre would have looked perfect nailed in the centre of the layout with two rows of two either side of it. Also being half ounce coins and not 1 ounce feels a bit of a scam allowing them to charge a fat premium without pricing it out of the market. These are the reasons I didn't buy the set ..but oh shit ..it was hard to resist :D
I love the first mint probably half of my stack is from the Perth Mint. 1 oz kangaroos 2 oz kangaroos, 1oz kookaburras, silver kilos and lunar series gold coins.
Very interesting video BYB, I'd love to see you do the same with the Royal Canadian Mint. For some reason we seem to get much more Australian bullion in the UK than Canadian!
Not a fan of the design. But I do love the perth mint lunar series. The rabbit is so far my favorite this series. Tiger was also huge improvement from last series.

Coloured coins aren't my cup of tea but, that said, I do like the designs and the quality comes across on the video. I envy Australian stackers 'n collectors having the Perth Mint and doubt they have to contend with the endless stream of failures, shortcomings and disappointments that we in the U.K. have to put up with from The Royal Mint.
Are they treated like currency like britannias? I wanna stack something else in silver so bad I’ve hated the royal mint the past couple of years, the quality control is terrible and im tired of getting milk spotted britannias
Woa! FeDex? My last import experience using FeDex was awful, for a product clearly classified as tax free, 'DeFex' couldn't grasp that my shipping fee was all they could charge me. If only FeDex could have been marooned with Tom Hanks

Perth Mint has the best quality of (almost) all mints in my opinion. It's always a bit more expensive but worth it.

Interesting, in Australian forums the consensus is that the S2 tiger is the single best design of the series and probably won’t be topped
I recommend checking out the Lunar Dragon Quadrants from the Perth Mint as they are my personal favourite and think they look the best.
