Few things I forgot to mention. In gladiusEX settings under transparency, set it all to 1.0 for Out of range alpha, Stealth alpha, Dead alpha so that way the icons are all visible no matter what. Really important otherwise the cds will appear and disappear constantly. Also apparently you can do arena 123 cd tracking with Omnibar now too so I'm gonna try that out sometime to see if it's better than my current setup.

I think omnibar arena 123 is easier/more user friendly to set up. But sarena updated still looks cleaner
It’s really good to see someone who feels the same about omnicc as I do. Seeing people playing with their entire screen littered with random icons strewn all over the place drives me insane. I have noticed that since coming back in DF, the more crap that I take OFF my screen the higher my arena rating gets!

Could you do a video on how to basically beat every spec, not from a mages standpoint but just in general. Like how to survive aff lock or sub rogue goes, and what cds to get out of the way to get a kill window. With so many specs and cds in the game I can't keep track of what to look for in each class. But if we had a video that literally covered every class and how to counter there goes. What there offensive cds do and what the defensives do that would be incredible.

THANK YOU REALLY REALLY MUCH FOR THIS VID DUDE, i´ve been all week long looking for good configurations and all were either really bad or messed up, or way bad explained and for someone that comes back to the game after 5 years or even worse someone new.. It was impossible to get things right. Now it´s all god :)

You can actually setup Omnibar to look like that, by creating 3 different bars and each one tracking A1, A2, A3. This way you don't have to load an additional addon, plus, the main problem of gladiusEX is that you can't create new abilities to track for what I saw.
Yeah that's a good point. I didn't realize at the time that you could do it with omnibar now. I'll give that a try at some point, thanks :)

i could not make it work with unused icons, it would show me icons for classes that arent specced into them.. e.g. frost mage and ice wall.

much love man! to be honest i don’t enjoy dueling, bgs, or world pvp like i used to. i really only play wow to queue the ladder at this point so i wouldn’t expect any of the movies or dueling videos to come back. maybe arena movies but no hansol 6 or anything like that.

how do you keep track of buffs / debuffs? You have the regular character frammes on top left which seems umcomfy, my issue is I have them usually where you got the SArena frames
I just want to remove the dang target icon above my head in arena. I play on a 17inch laptop and I'm melee and the thing is right in my face. I right click my portrait and click none but it stays... driving me crazy.
What are you using for your teammates? Same set up just different side?

it doesn't track 10th of a second though? I am in a weird spot where my global/frostbomb are.92 seconds, my poly is 1sec, my frostbolt is 1.2 seconds, ray is 3.1 and when there is 1 2 3 or 4 seconds left on cc timer, I am never sure how many globals I can fit in. If the timer just struck 2 seconds, I can usually global+repoly but I have to cast it right when the timer hits 2 seconds. Hard to internalize these timers as there are both multiple GCD combos and very few gcd combos you can make depending on if the timer is 3.3 seconds vs 3.5 vs 2.2 vs 2.5. etc. There is a reason why pro sports have shot clocks, and esports measures 10ths of a second. What do I do? Sarena is the only addon that loads before the gates open, gladius is bugged.

Hi Hansol, what changed in gameplay design that you stopped enjoying 1v1, bgs, world pvp? i miss your mop content so much :’(
Fire mage core design is the issue. As a fire mage you literally do nothing outside of Combustion. You have zero impact in terms of actually dishing out pressure with damage. Sitting there spamming fire ball over and over and over and over doing 4k damage tickling the target. It's become really stale and boring to the point where even in arenas I can't really enjoy playing other comps other than RMP. Fire mage design atm is so that you play around pure setups which is why it pairs with a sub rogue so well. It makes it so that the fire mage weakness of doing nothing simply disappears because RMP revolves solely around doing setups then running and resetting while waiting for drs (doing nothing but trying to survive with poly spam, nova, etc). If you follow the 3v3 arena scene at all, every single mage that got rank 1 last season in the world did it through RMP lol. Previous seasons I was able to get r1 with FMP, God comp (fireplay), and RMP but now we're forced to only play RMP.
I think the main issue stems from the fact that WoW is a PvE game in nature. The devs will primarily design classes and specs around raiding and mythic plus dungeons which I totally understand, but this in fact impacts that enjoyability of that class in a PvP environment of course..
Back in the day as a fire mage you could do a setup every 30 seconds with nova deep freeze with shatter combos. When your class can actually do things, it's fun to play it in 1v1s, or 1vX situations but the design for the class itself is just not built that way anymore. Also, some time in Legion when they introduced legendaries to work in open world, that literally killed dueling and world pvp and I feel like it's never been the same since then. I haven't cared for dueling, bgs, or world pvp since MoP tbh. Maybe WoD if I'm being generous. Only thing that keeps me playing the game at this point is arena. Definitely makes it difficult for me as someone who has a RUclips channel to be inspired to create content for this game like I used to due to these reasons + many more. Best I can do is do what I enjoy (queue arena) and create content around that and let the niche audience that want to watch it enjoy it. Also, lets face it. Dueling and world PvP is dead in WoW and has been for almost a decade. There's zero incentive or enjoyment around it. No one cares about it. Why should I?
Recently I started playing Ele Sham. The nice thing about this class is that it has random spurts of burst and can pump damage pretty consistently once you get momentum rolling. It lacks the mobility (shimmers/blink) and pure setup potential (db/sheep) that mage has, but the damage it can do is pretty nuts. It's really refreshing for me to play this class because it's still a ranged class but almost like the complete opposite playstyle of current fire mage. So I've been having a lot of fun with that and might look to create content around this spec moving forward. The design philosophy for this class and spec coming in Dragonflight looks pretty awesome too :)
Anyways, I hope you understand the dilemma. I'm not going to force myself to make content for something I have literally no interest in. It would only come out very poorly if I forced it anyways. Content is best when the creator is truly passionate about what they're creating, amirite? Let's just be happy and grateful that Cata/MoP happened and we have all those videos and memories of the golden age of fire PvP to go back to whenever we want.

@Hansol but you can't adjust the CDs with GladiusEx, right? There are so many Conduits, Talents that reduces the CD of the original Spells, i have like 40 spells adjustet in OmniBar, can you do that in GladiusEx too?

Hi! Awsome video, using this setup now, I have a weird bug tho?`My DR tracking symbols are showing completely wrong symbols? im playing hunter and it shows like Drood roots and prist silences instead, probobly shows others aswell havent really noted all of them down.. Same goes for my premade in 2s he plays rogue and it shows like preist fear and what not on his kidnet etc.
Any Ideas?

Been using a similar setup just with gladius + fladiusex with enemy cds below the frames for years now, gladiusex is extremely useful for monitoring the cds.
Yo what addon / setting is showing the stuns and big buffs like bubble in a big square right next to the enemy's health bar?
and what about having a nice party arena frame?? :)
Is there any point of having your player frame and enemy player frame top left? You already have yours on party frame and enemy on arena frames, you can have a weak aura frame highlight the frame when you have the enemy selected
how do you get the party frames to line up in the same order as self, arena 1, arena 2 macros

I had too many issues with gladiusex not displacing or bugging between 2s and 3s. Omnibar now has an anchor to the arena frame. so no need for gladiusex at all.
Oh so you can just do the exact same thing like I have with Omnibar now? Separately for all arena 123?
@@hansolzy yeah, just make a new bar with everything EX would track, then copy it 2 times. Then add one of them to arena 1, 2 and 3

test mode shows outside of arena. un test should fix this

hi hansol great vid! question, when i set up gladiusex to work with my Sarena for some reason i get cooldowns showing on the enemy frames where the class icon is AND on the left of the hp bar its kinda annoying cuz it overlaps my trinkets. any idea what's causing this and how i can turn it off? thank you for sharing with us your set up
All this video is telling me is that sArena NEEDS to add a cooldown tracking function.
Apparently you can just do it with Omnibar now. Make multiple bars for Arena 123
