I have been using Logic Pro for a number of years now but recently took advantage of Steinberg’s sale on Cubase 13 Pro as well as Absolute. Watching videos produced by this gentleman really demonstrates the power of Cubase. You are an excellent musician/demonstrator/teacher Dom. You are a great asset to a Steinberg.
Cubase’s chord tools are unparalleled! I see FL Studio users so excited about IL’s implementation (which is nice they at least included a nice chord tool, unlike Bitwig, which I wish they’d implement already), but it’s likely they haven’t used Cubase’s chord tool. It is so well done, super powerful, and such a time saver. Even if you know music theory, being able to write in entire chords in midi like this makes the process so much faster (beaten only by actually recording the midi as you play live). Cubase did a wonderful job with midi chords implementation. Hats off!
Many thanks Dom. excellent as usual. The same approach to the various methods of drum programming would be very much appreciated. I have seen your previous vids but am still floundering ... duh
I've been using Cubase for years and only recently started using the chord pads in January of this year. I can play them on the keyboard but not too well and I'm lazy and just want to get them tracked. Playing around with the chord pads and finding a progression you like can lead to a lot of inspiration. I have a few finish songs now that started with me playing with chord pads and humming a melody while doing it and before long, a song was finished. Dom, it would be interesting to see you do a video on how you would use Synthesizer V in Cubase. I use it and it's amazing.
Dom, this video format is brilliant👍 there is no comparison between this format and what Cubase own channel does with those unusable, lengthy club videos. I’m a Nuendo user and are considering to leave Nuendo for Logic Pro due to the steep learning curve of Nuendo/Cubase. Thank to this kind of educational videos I might just stay on Nuendo, please make more of this kind of tutorials, thank you 🙏
Bro, I would love for you to break down your studio setup. I'm interested in knowing what desktop you use and those devices you have on your desk. Thanks, you're the best!😜
Thank you so much for your work. It’s always a pleasure to watch tutorials from the Cubase Master. Would you be so kind as to make a video on how to imitate a keyboard player? Chords are great, but I would like to have a little more movement in the midi track and have no idea how to go about it. thank you very much
I wish the voicing menu in the chord track was also available in the Chord Editor and that you could apply different voicing “style” to each chord. That would be chord editing on a totally new level!
The chord tools in cubase are really not bad. Nevertheless, I have now also bought Scaler 2 in the sale. This makes it even easier to create chords and the possibilities are much greater.
Thank U for another helpfull nice Video. Can I install Cubase on diferent PC's stations with the same System on it? Anotherwords: If I buy Cubase on Stainberg Website ..Can I switch anytime to another computer having Install folder on my external hard drive ?
Ive got s zoom livetrack l8 and also cubase elements 8, I find recording on the live track more easy and mastering on the faw later, no matter how hard I try ,and ive got a Fujitsu i7 uhx laptop the vocals sound dull, lackluster, while I get this sound very easily on the livetrack l8
Thank You for this video. I am new to Cubase. What are those tracks [REF, TEMPO, MARKER] and why there are 2 tracks for the instrument ? Is there a video that describe these topics? Thank you.
I dont know what is REF, but the Tempo is where u can automate the speed of your song. The Marker is where u could mark your project parts, for example: (Intro, verse 1, chorus, bridge, outro..etc). Hope that answer ur question
Great video! Just a suggestion: could you approach it more from a beginner's perspective? As a beginner, I sometimes find it challenging to follow along.
Does anyone know how to maintain the voicing of the chord pads when dragged onto the chord track? Let’s say I have an “A” chord on chord pad set to a high inversion and I want to drag it on Chord Track… when i drag said chord on chord track it loses the inversion. Is this normal or I’m not aware of a setting that will keep inversion? I’ve only recently switched to Cubase Pro 13 so I’m learning as I go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'd like to see how you can create a rhythmic pattern with chords quickly? Duplicating and arranging them in the midi editor is no fun. I was hoping I could trigger the chord pads from a midi event, but that doesn't seem to be an option.
Why click at all? I'd like something similar to VFX Keymapper in FL Studio, you can set your chord style and simply load your vst and play away, no clicking required once you set your chord. Is there anything similar in Cubase? I am feeling like I may need to stick with Fl st
Dom, Maybe I am doing this wrong but when I am in the chord pad area and I bring up the circle of fifths to right of it and change it from minor to major the chord pads do not update to major chords. What am I doing wrong
what got me REALLLLLLY frustrated about it . . . was when it FORCED me to use its unilaterally chosen VOICINGS :((( It became to bad for me that I eventually had to go and BUY Scaler just to solve the voicing problem (Cubase chord track FORCED me into its own CHOSEN chord voicings). So sad :((
However, the chord platforms at the bottom are much more convenient. I also don’t understand why you can listen to a chord once (and only on the condition that you drew it in a piano roll) and to hear it again, you need to switch to another - a little stupid
I dont need to hurry to make chords in Cubase, I do it on guitar and then arrange it with keyboards if needed, and if you cant play - learn it. Theres no shortcut in doing music and if you use shortcuts youre just lazy.
You are so awesome bro. Just coz of you i learnt alot of basic things in cubase... Sir can you help me out in one thing i saw in many videos people use mac( don't know the daw) but it's like im playing a guitar part like a tapping but im not able to match that tempo. They use it half speed something, record it in half the tempo and thn they use some shot cuts and it matches the original tempo. Please help me out with this.. 🤗 🤗
This is awesome! Thank you so much 🎶

Dom, Your desk is so clean. Looks like your flying a plane or space craft there with all those controllers. Great video!!!
I love chordtrack, even if I play keyboard I use this to experiment with different harmonies.
Thanks Dom for helpping us unlocking the secrets of the Cubase 13 Chord universe
Awesome! Nice to have all these methods together in one video. Like the new v13 step input mode! 😊
Thanks dude! I've never actually used this feature but you've inspired me to check it out.

To be honest Cubase is the best daw,is probably the best decision I made as a producer learning it❤❤❤❤
Yes , Cubase is the best , I love it )))))))
Absolutely! Even after using many other DAWS, I always come back!

Dom, you are the best in Cubase KingDOM!👍
Awesome tips. Cubase is so powerful. Still learning it. Song writing, producing and mixing with it makes life easier.
Thank you so much you helped a lot seriously
Clear, simple, and incredibly useful explanation as usual. You are awesome, Dom!

Great information, thanks! Can you convert the chords to arpeggios, guitar fingerpicking patterns etc?
Thanks Dom

Excellent tutorial, Dom! Thank you!
Hey Dom! Awesome job! Would love to see a video on the harmony generator..ok found the video
Great video Bro! Thank you so much.
Very helpful
super bro i had never seen beforeon youtube thankx a lot kya bt kya bt
Cubase for ever !!!!!❤❤❤❤
thx, you are awesome! :)
You probably should cover how to enable sections in the inspector, chord editing was definitely disabled on my fresh install of Cubase 13.
i love from indonesia

My opinion, cubase the best.
Yes. No doubt!
Nuendo
Yes no doubt
@@hoossembechiri6136Well, they're twins lol.
@@andesneko yah i kn ...but nuendo is advanced than cubase....so nuendo is the best

chords pads is my fav. cous you can load a presset and work from there. cous i usally know the key i wanna play in.
Question: Is there a way to "stand still" on a audio track and "extract" the one Chord at that exact point?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Is there a way to extract all of the chords from Cubase 12 chord pad list into Cubase 13?

Where is the proximity assistant in cubase 13 pro?🧐

Aah yes, that is why you clicked on a video that says, "3 Ways To Create Chords Fast" because there's no shorcuts.🤔🙁😉👌
@@SkyAvila777 A dude named Sky. No wonder.
no, don't try to create your own chords, you might learn something about chords by trial and error.... wooohoo
Entering chords note by note isn't creative? That's a pretty weird claim. It's no more or less creative than any other method.
