Ct for metering will be connected to meter only.
Whenever you are taking for meter maintenance, that time only ct sec should be short circuit ed. Not always

This is only a myth. Nothing will happen if secondary of CT is open. There won't be any rise in temperature of CT.
    The multimeter is burden.
CT blast is due to mismatch of burden. If you are interested in what I said, then please watch my 2 videos on this subject in my channel.

      Kishore Kumar Sir

@@Engineering-in-tamil You won't agree. Measure the temp of CT in open condition and come to conclusion. The temp will never raise so nothing will happen. You yourself is telling that you have not witnessed CT blast in your experience. Please destroy a CT and prove. (Rs 350/ CT cost app.)

Sir one think you have agree
Temperature not matter in normal time
Sir if example 1 squmn 100 voltage can withstand
Same cable if we give 1000 voltage what will happen please tell me?
