I’m so glad a creator is talking about this. I’ve commented a few times on this and how much I dislike the lazy ai art that doesn’t even represent the game. I wish they would just take a few seconds to screenshot in game if they don’t want to spend time on a thumbnail.
I‘ve been tryin to purge my RUclips front page that way for years now. It‘s an uphill battle. Normal people just don‘t think at all and click on all the clickbait shit, then complain about it and do it again. So creators just have no reason to not do it, unless they specifically want to build a community, that‘s not braindead.
So far i've purged most of the garbage HD2 creators. Only few creators who make informative videos are left. Though i basically stopped watching videos altogether when my skill level has either surpassed them or on par so their opinions stop being useful when I already know the answer. When I could get most up to date and true informations from discord, these creators doesnt matter to me anymore.
Cloud Plays is horrible on all sorts of fronts. I think he was on the whole Sony lies bandwagon, without showing proof of lies. Few of the channels have thumbnails with actual armor.
me looking for a video of someone having fun playing helldivers 2 and getting bombarded with ai art thumbnail clickbait where someone reads posts on r/helldivers and calls it news:
Honestly i have more of an issue when creators just dump leaks and spoilers on their thumbnail and video with no prior warning, im of the mind set that i want to avoid every leak possible to not develop expectations of whats to come, just letting things come when they come, but ive definitely fallen into traps where no spoiler warning was mentioned and leaks are just dumped in my face
100% agreed. When I started the channel I decided not to cover leaks. Mainly because personally I would rather wait to see the finished product. I don’t thinks it’s necessarily wrong to cover them, but the thumbnails having all the info in it is very annoying.
Cloud plays, thiccfila, takibo, Glitch Unlimited. They keep recycling content until people just want to mute them entirely. I do like Takibo sometimes, but the unnecessary clickbait is annoying as fuck. Especially if you dont have new content to offer.
It’s pretty ironic how we fight these robots in game but so SO many people use robots and AI to make Helldivers related content on RUclips. Not just thumbnails but also complete songs! With the art for those songs also AI generated. I appreciate creators that make stuff themselves with their own creativity or if they lack the skill, they take the time to learn that skill. That is what I like to see more of on this platform honestly. Where no Automatons are used in the creation of art!
@@TheBananamonger monopoly on art??????? A monopoly is a company without competition… there are millions of artists in the world. Plus art isn’t something only specific people can do, it’s a skill that everyone can learn for free by themselves lmao.
This dude called Stylosa I s2g, every single video he posts has some bullshit like "HUGE HINTS ABOUT UPCOMING HANDHELD MINIGUN STRATAGEM" and the entire video is just some dude asking the devs and them replying with "No news about that so far".
Helldivers only has three real content niches, solo play, funny team play with friends or randoms, and game news. The big issue is that the first two will eventually run dry, (maybe not team play with randoms, there are some wacky pubbers out there) so naturally, the youtubers seeking profit immediately go to the third option, where 90% of the clickbait resides.
I feel like one part you miss with the AI videos is literally the people that have like AI right the script and then have a robot voice read it and it talks a whole lot about literally nothing. They just keep pressing the expand text option from one sentence lol until it becomes a 3 minute video anyone who I see post them I just block them nowadays lol
OhDough is the only Helldivers 2 RUclipsr that’s actually honest with his audience. He doesn’t clickbait, he’s not afraid to voice his concerns even if it’s an unpopular take, he doesn’t lie about certain weapons being “OP” or “broken” or “underrated” when they’re really not, and most importantly, he doesn’t use AI thumbnails that look more like spartan armor than Helldiver armor.
Illiuminate speculation, everyone knows it's coming, but holy hell I get annoyed whenever someone says it is coming right now and it very obviously isn't
The clickbaits will soon be replaced by AI clickbaits, while the authentic RUclipsrs will continue to get real audience. Clickbaits usually repeat content again and again from other sources (that are just not credible) OhDough, is only clickbait in the sense that it informs actual educational facts than empty content. That's why people keep going back. The rest, not so much.
A lot of these channels don't actually care about the game or community. They are only covering it because it's the popular thing. If you look at their channels they use the same tactics for other games. If you think it's bad now then wait until GTA 6. The clickbait for that will be taken to a whole new level. People just need to be smart and parents need to monitor the junk their kids watch.
The recommend video next to this one was a AI Thumbnail showing a fake diver and planets exploding. Cliams we are getting planet destroying super weapons. It REALLY is out of hand.
it's even worse when these space soldier thumbnails are for a video regarding a content update, because it's pretty misleadingly suggesting these are new armours coming out.
Gonna put that here average HD2 youtuber bingo card 6 videos on basically a fart from the devellopers a giveaway thats is trying to buy subscribers cause content isn't good enough to earn them that giveaway being a scam, going to either themselves, a friend or no one at all cause it isn't real barfing up the same couple of buzz words, "epic" "insane" "unreal" "crazy" "you won't believe this" "OMG" to hyping up the suppose to be "new content" dropped but is just nothing more that filling the void of their own content videos 15-20 minutes vido with 5 minutes given to the giveaway and 10 spent just talking about themselves and their boring lives and don't forget the background footage is bad ofc and the remaining 5 minutes reading discord pings that anyone who joined the discord would already know and can't forget begging to leave a comment, subscribe and like the video. bonus points if they use a pathetic veiled attempt like "let me know you opinion in the comment section", not that they care, it just feeds the algorithm which they could just be honest about it
My problem with Willisgaming is that he makes content around leaks and data mined future features and labels them as “New features” in his titles which implies a recent update instead of calling it what it is, “leaked.” Its soooooooo annoying, I had to hide his channel from my feed
I have no idea which channel it was, but I had seen a thumbnail that suggested the fix for the solo-play pain had been put through already, it hadn't, and still hasn't to my knowledge. the thumbnail hadn't even encouraged me to watch the video, and instead just set completely wrong expectations.
The issue is: It works! On this platform, you have to do ANYTHING to get people to click on your content. Even if you have something legit to say, you pretty much have to clickbait. Among the hundreds of thumbnails and titles a user is looking at, yours must be the one, they click on and clickbait is the most effective way. There have been some creators, that tried different things and clickbait just was so much more effective, that they would be stupid, not to do it. Another issue is: Everyone is doing it! If you’re not doing it, the average user is not going to notice you. So even if you hate it, you are forced to do it, otherwise, you‘ll not generate the engagement you need, in order to survive on RUclips. It may not be great, but…it sadly works :/
Finally someone is talking about this. I havent really liked any of the HD2 thumbnails from anywhere ive seen, just bc of the amount of clickbait and AI images. It just feels weird and annoying for a game like HD2
Preach brother. So many times when I scroll through RUclips and just wanna watch a chill Helldivers video I encounter so many of those annoying ass titles and thumbnails.
Not only is there clickbait, the big helldiver RUclipsrs are pretty ass. It’s the same leak/ discord post content every single time. And they LOVE milking the drama that happened within the community. I get it. It’ll get you views, but overdoing it is annoying to look at as a viewer.
Willisgaming and Cloudplays are notorious for cb. Annoying af. In fact, i just clicked "don't recommend this channel" on those aforementioned just yesterday.
For every content creator that puts his heart and soul into editing and compiling information, with their modest and humble opinions to be shared by many along with unbiased display of facts... there are 50 content farms of clickbait videos written by A.I. and sometimes even with A.I. voiceover.
I refuse to click any of the Helldivers videos with AI art. ESPECIALLY those awful "WTF THIS HAPPENED" things with Helldivers saddling up Bile Titans or flying a Pelican. It's just crapposting at that point.
It definitely has been especially bad with this community. I know every corner of YT has Clickbait and AI thumbnails, but this games’ community seemed to really latch on to it sadly. BTW huge fan of your content. I subbed to you on my alt account a few years back and even started collecting Mega Halo stuff because of your videos. Much love ❤️
@@the_backburner It's the monke brain mentality Eyy that's awesome!! Thanks for the support!! I'm trying to push for Mega to do Helldivers because I want me a bunch of tiny Helldivers, and making them myself takes a long time XD
Yep, I wonder why waste a few minutes of AI computation when you can just Google up Helldivers fan art. (AI also scrapes from copyrighted material, so might as well)
I noticed it being so bad for helldiver youtubers. Theyre all so insufferable for it. Stretching out a 10 min vid off of one random discord comment that say 'we are working on a known problem' Helldiver YT is pretty garbage quality. The only good one i watch is the War Report guy
War Report is great! I try my hardest as well to just get the info out. Someone recently complained my lore videos are too long since they’re normally ~6 minutes. Imo, it’s better than then being 15+ minutes
If game companies want to sell games you need a good product. I content creators want views they should have good content. This video had an important point. I'm avoiding several helldiver youtubers right now who use AI to tell me the sky is falling for the third time today without any meaningful reason.
Is it click bait to put a fire sentry on a thumbnail for a video about a new stratagem and there’s no fire sentry mentioned. I was heartbroken. I just wanna burn stuff.
So tired of every hotfix being called "A HUGE UPDATE!!1!", and the AI is cringe. Some of us just want no-frills updates on upcoming changes or patches, especially if we're checking youtube from work or elsewhere and can't check the discord or patch notes yet
Thank you for this video. I stopped watching cloud and will because of this. I gave them a chance but it was too much. Too many times, I’d ask myself how does this relate to the title.
Finally SOMEBODY said it! All these ai generated thumbnails for content slop. Seriously the real reason HD2 is dying out is because these parasites bloat the hd2 content search with their garbage.
At that point the bait isn't for the viewer, it's for the algorithm. It's random, but not too random, not enough to not prefer certain forms of content, be that through # tags, or through structure.
The "Helldivers 2 is dieing!?" Videos honestly annoy me because 400k to 100k is a drop off but its not a sudden drop off from charts, it was a steady decline that 99.9% of games get and Helldivers is one of them especially because nothing of importance is happening and everyone know the warbonds are permanent so people's urgency to come back isn't triggered every month because there's no need to. 100k daily right now is good in comparison to destiny 2 which had the same numbers but has their upper management promotion 99% of things wrong with AAA gaming to "keep players engaged" aka Fomo.
there are some really click baity hd2 channels, and then there are some genuinely awful creators that tricked me at first with solid content but ended up massively disappointing me with politicized rage baiting garbage.
Finally! Too bad it won't change shit! It's a money farm! I hate when they make this "daily news" and make titles like: WOW new weapons! UPDATE BUFF! EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT NOW! But then they just show one discord message and one Twitter post... Bruh
THANK YOU for being honest enough to say it. As the game has taken the player count dive recently, you can hear the desperation in some of these content creators voices as their gravy train is starting to go a bit dry. But the sea of trash HD2 content has just been nuts…to the point where you can tell that they are just trying to reel in fans and are afraid to offend them. So much dishonesty around the Sony stuff proves it. I spent 2 years as a non monetized content creator myself right before the AI boom started and I spent so much time on thumbnails…making sure they were funny, interesting, eye catching…but at least representative of the content. And ya, there’s that rush of thousands of views, but over that time and the work I put into it I just really started to develop a strong dislike for “purely” clickbait thumbnaing and just refused to be a part of that.
My issue is when the clickbait title and the actual conent are different, either in topic or tone. For example, Legacy Gaming has some where they have title like "What have they done?!" making it sound like outrage when in fact they show both sides of the issue and are calm and mature about addressing the issue of balance. So there is a change of tone. Or you see titles like "the game is ruined" when the video is a relatively minor complaint. The reverse is true. That being said, people want to make RUclips their fulltime job, and just like pretty much any buisness these days, you have to play dirty to get ahead. Sure being honest and upfront will get you a loyal following, but I don't think the money is there. My other issue is when the title and thumbnail give no information on the topic, so you have to watch at least some of the video of know what it is about.
I don’t recall if it was Legacy Gaming or not, but there was a video whose title was something like “the player base is DROPPING!” And the video started with “so the player base has gone down a few hundred people, probably because it’s finals week” and then moved on to other topics….. Shameful
I accepted the existence of clickbaits and all, just skip past them. What bothers me more is that its just all the same channels filling everything with just trash that pops up the moment you watch one similar video of news that is actually decent. The AI thumbnails just add to the AI dump of filling the internet with more cheap and easy to produce trash dumped out every day twice. Really appreciate the video of talking about the problem of it all too
As a smaller RUclipsr it would be great to see bigger RUclipsrs take charge and steer away from these kind of tactics because it just over saturates everything even more than it already is. Most of the videos don’t even contain any new or useful information just a few old clips were they repeat the same 4-5 sentences 4-5 times while over dramatizing everything but hey if it pays the bills.
Just Subscribed and liked this video. I’ve watched both of Willis and cloud plays and have noticed all of your point but the reason I and probably many of their other viewers click on them is because they’re the first with the news and they’re right on top. I do wish it wasn’t so clickbaity though I feel like a robot clicking on their videos.
Helldiver's main issue atm is higher expectations made by these knuckledusters. I've stopped watching basically every single creator for Helldiver becsuse it's all just junk news that wastes my time.
Lets not forget about the leaks, I'll be honest the constant leaks is hurting my experience of the game and my hype, I try to get away from them but they always end up on my feed or anywhere and I can't escape. But with the leaks it just ruins the hype for future content because we already expect them to come all we have to know is how good/cool they are.
This is a big issue too I am considering covering. There will always be ways to pull info out of game files and what not, but the fact that you cannot even go online and lookup HD2 without having something spoiled is annoying.
I fully understand the "itch" to address topics like these, _giving your opinion while capitalizing on a "hot" topic_ and is fine really.. kinda, why??? well... clickbait has been an issue since b4 it was known as "clickbait", and also is par for the course on any engagement-driven public space... there's only a couple of differences between old days and nowadays: more people overall, and more control overall... do you really need to address this "clickbait" issue to "help combat" it? I don't think so, for the 2 reasons I just mentioned... but I'll elaborate: 1- there are too many people, both CCs and viewers, and unless you have enough "traction" yourself you are unlikely to make a difference pleading either side... (people are unlikely to change their minds over the subject anyways, although I reckon you get the interaction from them + people who arrived here due to the topic itself, so really, there's nothing "noble" about "talking" ethics here even if that's your true goal) 2- there are tools so whatever viewers deem not worthy they can filter out... (cloudplays whatever has been that way since his start really/probably, and know what I did? I've blocked his channel YEARS ago... and you know when does he pop back into my feed??? albeit indirectly, every time a CCs who I actually am interested in decides to "address" his channel/content, so I guess he should, kinda, thank, maybe, all the people who are helping him break through the "blockade", geez) now, obviously this is just my opinion, and if you mostly do this type of content (addressing whatever community's issues you deem worthy, for mostly "ethical reasons", but also some capitalizing on the side, cuz why not?) fine... but if you fall into the "meta whatever" rabbit hole I'll block your channel and will be very unlikely you pop back in my feed as long as you don't become as famous or notorious enough to become a topic of discussion yourself... and remember this: the very best action against those you dislike, specially in the like of YT and whatnot, is to ignore them... engagement good or bad, still engagement and the ultimate goal...
I really do appreciate the time and care you put into this comment. I love the comments section as it lets everyone chip in on the conversation rather than just the creator talking. I have to say though, that I disagree with your final statement that the best action against those I don’t like is to ignore them. In my opinion, I would rather speak up and say “hey I really don’t like that” rather than just ignore the issue. Will I solve the issue? Probably not. Will I change the YT landscape? No way! But I won’t sit by and say nothing when I see something that I think truly is hurting the community. Obviously this isn’t the end of the world, so this doesn’t have to be taken seriously, but at the start of your comment you asked “why”. And the answer to that question is, because of you. You watched the video and took time and thought to write this comment which I so greatly appreciate. That is why. That is why I made the video. So we, and others, could discuss the topic. Also, for me, engagement is not the end goal. It sure is nice to get so much of it yes, but at the end of the day I make content because I enjoy making it. The conversations I get to have along the way are a huge bonus, but even if nobody watched, I’d still make videos. Including ones like this that let me explain the issues I have. Cheers! 🍻
I honestly really liked the simple thumbnails on some of your videos, especially this one. If I see AI on a thumbnail I scroll past the video entirely.

Now the title here was great
Cloudplay
I'm looking at you cloud plays
It's pretty telling that almost everyone who watched this video knew EXACTLY who you were referring to before you even mentioned them.
me looking for a video of someone having fun playing helldivers 2 and getting bombarded with ai art thumbnail clickbait where someone reads posts on r/helldivers and calls it news:
Reddittubers are the worst.
Leaks in thumbnails/titles are the worst!
Stopped watching any youtubers doing Star Wars content for this exact reason.
That's the worsr for me on youtube period so many creators put apoilers in thumbnails and names taking the whole fun out jukutsue kaisen
100% agreed. When I started the channel I decided not to cover leaks. Mainly because personally I would rather wait to see the finished product. I don’t thinks it’s necessarily wrong to cover them, but the thumbnails having all the info in it is very annoying.
@@ImBiscuitHD Was watching shorts before TOK relase and no warning spoilers. like you wanna find them fine but keep them hidden
Cloud plays irritates the hell outta me
Cloud plays, thiccfila, takibo, Glitch Unlimited.
AI art democratizes the creation of art. No longer does the artist class hold a monopoly on creation. Seethe about it
Also furry L
@@TheBananamonger monopoly on art???????
A monopoly is a company without competition… there are millions of artists in the world. Plus art isn’t something only specific people can do, it’s a skill that everyone can learn for free by themselves lmao.
This dude called Stylosa I s2g, every single video he posts has some bullshit like "HUGE HINTS ABOUT UPCOMING HANDHELD MINIGUN STRATAGEM" and the entire video is just some dude asking the devs and them replying with "No news about that so far".
4:52 that Strider was giving you MAJOR trouble lol
Hahahaha yes he was! The full clip with my audio will be in an upcoming Demockery episode soon ❤️
The british guy that always say 'Chewsday' click baited the hell out m the other day. His title said Eruptor Buff!
The thumbnail with fake images of non-existing enemies
Helldivers only has three real content niches, solo play, funny team play with friends or randoms, and game news. The big issue is that the first two will eventually run dry, (maybe not team play with randoms, there are some wacky pubbers out there) so naturally, the youtubers seeking profit immediately go to the third option, where 90% of the clickbait resides.
Cloud Plays is Z tier.
Oh god that sounds horrible. I’ve seen some of the awful “movie recap” channels that do that.
There is an endless source of images for good thumbnails in the game. Most of these clickbaiters don't even actively play the game.
I will mention one of the Helldivers 2 Clickbaiters.... CloudPlays is bad about it. I have made many comments on his trash "News" videos.
The clickbaits will soon be replaced by AI clickbaits, while the authentic RUclipsrs will continue to get real audience.
Clickbaits usually repeat content again and again from other sources (that are just not credible)
OhDough, is only clickbait in the sense that it informs actual educational facts than empty content.
Since when is anyone gonna do that last thing though, eh? People can barely maintain themselves, much less the living things they put into the world.
Gonna put that here
average HD2 youtuber bingo card
6 videos on basically a fart from the devellopers
a giveaway thats is trying to buy subscribers cause content isn't good enough
to earn them
that giveaway being a scam, going to either themselves, a friend or no one at
all cause it isn't real
barfing up the same couple of buzz words, "epic" "insane" "unreal" "crazy" "you won't believe this" "OMG"
to hyping up the suppose to be "new content" dropped but is just nothing more that filling the void of their own content videos
15-20 minutes vido with 5 minutes given to the giveaway and 10 spent just talking about themselves and their boring lives
and don't forget the background footage is bad ofc
and the remaining 5 minutes reading discord pings that anyone who joined the discord would already know
and can't forget begging to leave a comment, subscribe and like the video.
bonus points if they use a pathetic veiled attempt like "let me know you opinion in the comment section",
not that they care, it just feeds the algorithm which they could just be honest about it
My problem with Willisgaming is that he makes content around leaks and data mined future features and labels them as “New features” in his titles which implies a recent update instead of calling it what it is, “leaked.” Its soooooooo annoying, I had to hide his channel from my feed
It won't work... why should they stop when drama farming is tops in monetization?
Finally someone is talking about this. I havent really liked any of the HD2 thumbnails from anywhere ive seen, just bc of the amount of clickbait and AI images. It just feels weird and annoying for a game like HD2
Yeah I've started blocking all the HD2 content creators. It's all the same copy paste bullshit that everyone already knows lmao.
This happens with every big new game, they will fall off as people work out who the good RUclipsrs are
Preach brother. So many times when I scroll through RUclips and just wanna watch a chill Helldivers video I encounter so many of those annoying ass titles and thumbnails.
Cloud Plays is the WORST. That fuckin’ dude flat out makes shit up about the game and posts it as fact. 3 times a day.
Not only is there clickbait, the big helldiver RUclipsrs are pretty ass. It’s the same leak/ discord post content every single time. And they LOVE milking the drama that happened within the community. I get it. It’ll get you views, but overdoing it is annoying to look at as a viewer.
They simply need your eyes, not your hearts and minds.
Willisgaming and Cloudplays are notorious for cb. Annoying af. In fact, i just clicked "don't recommend this channel" on those aforementioned just yesterday.
You forgot Ltbuzzlitebeer another fucking cloud, bro doesn't even play the game 💀.
For every content creator that puts his heart and soul into editing and compiling information, with their modest and humble opinions to be shared by many along with unbiased display of facts...
there are 50 content farms of clickbait videos written by A.I. and sometimes even with A.I. voiceover.
It's the worst when I just wanna watch some gameplay or funny moments and I get "NEW UPDATE! ILLUMINATE DROP?!?!" every time
I refuse to click any of the Helldivers videos with AI art.
@@the_backburner It's the monke brain mentality
Eyy that's awesome!! Thanks for the support!! I'm trying to push for Mega to do Helldivers because I want me a bunch of tiny Helldivers, and making them myself takes a long time XD
*coughcough* LoadedCrysis *cough*
Damn... Kinda wish I got mentioned haha, great video and feedback noted!
The ones that use AI-generated thumbnails bug me because the game itself has so many amazing visuals that can be screencapped.
Yep, I wonder why waste a few minutes of AI computation when you can just Google up Helldivers fan art. (AI also scrapes from copyrighted material, so might as well)
@@GooiYingChyi or just screenshot in-game recording.
The PSN debacle became clout-chasing at its worst.
Brah, i just unsubbed from someone due to this.
THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING?!!?
AUTOMATONS CAN DO WHAT NOW!? WE ARE SCREWED…
I noticed it being so bad for helldiver youtubers. Theyre all so insufferable for it. Stretching out a 10 min vid off of one random discord comment that say 'we are working on a known problem'
Helldiver YT is pretty garbage quality.
Game devs: breathe
RUclipsrs: is this confirming new content?!?!
Random user meme's such as Danz is the only Helldivers content worth watching
So tired of every hotfix being called "A HUGE UPDATE!!1!", and the AI is cringe. Some of us just want no-frills updates on upcoming changes or patches, especially if we're checking youtube from work or elsewhere and can't check the discord or patch notes yet
Thumbnails got Helldiver armor looking like Adeptus Astartes, lol
It is an issue. Good video.
Thank you for this video.
I stopped watching cloud and will because of this. I gave them a chance but it was too much. Too many times, I’d ask myself how does this relate to the title.
what do you think of my helldivers 2 titles?
Im glad someone is talkign about this
Finally SOMEBODY said it! All these ai generated thumbnails for content slop. Seriously the real reason HD2 is dying out is because these parasites bloat the hd2 content search with their garbage.
how do you click bait a short - when people are on shorts that get random recommendations
At that point the bait isn't for the viewer, it's for the algorithm. It's random, but not too random, not enough to not prefer certain forms of content, be that through # tags, or through structure.
@@BoundlessEnnui thanks for the explaination
Its not a bait, we click for extra democracy
just go to these channels and say "clickity clickity clickity clickbait"
Congrats on the 15k views 😁
The "Helldivers 2 is dieing!?" Videos honestly annoy me because 400k to 100k is a drop off but its not a sudden drop off from charts, it was a steady decline that 99.9% of games get and Helldivers is one of them especially because nothing of importance is happening and everyone know the warbonds are permanent so people's urgency to come back isn't triggered every month because there's no need to.
100k daily right now is good in comparison to destiny 2 which had the same numbers but has their upper management promotion 99% of things wrong with AAA gaming to "keep players engaged" aka Fomo.
I try to stay away from specific game channels, they end up ruining the game due to being louder than the actual player base.
100% agree. We all know who we talkkng about. Really Obnoxious
there are some really click baity hd2 channels, and then there are some genuinely awful creators that tricked me at first with solid content but ended up massively disappointing me with politicized rage baiting garbage.
Dude you nailed it
Finally! Too bad it won't change shit!
It's a money farm! I hate when they make this "daily news" and make titles like: WOW new weapons! UPDATE BUFF! EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT NOW! But then they just show one discord message and one Twitter post... Bruh
If there’s one thing I hate about Helldivers clickbait in particular, it’s them using the guy from the intro screaming.
I think the bigger problem is that they would steal content from Reddit and Discord without ever asking the creator for permission
Redditors are stupid let them suffer
Thanks for the great content my friend. Appreciate you!
Almost 6k views now, you did it bro
Just Subscribed and liked this video. I’ve watched both of Willis and cloud plays and have noticed all of your point but the reason I and probably many of their other viewers click on them is because they’re the first with the news and they’re right on top. I do wish it wasn’t so clickbaity though I feel like a robot clicking on their videos.
Helldiver's main issue atm is higher expectations made by these knuckledusters. I've stopped watching basically every single creator for Helldiver becsuse it's all just junk news that wastes my time.
This video is approved by the ministry of truth.
There will always be ways to pull info out of game files and what not, but the fact that you cannot even go online and lookup HD2 without having something spoiled is annoying.
sometimes i find those thumbnails hilarious
I fully understand the "itch" to address topics like these, _giving your opinion while capitalizing on a "hot" topic_ and is fine really.. kinda, why???
well... clickbait has been an issue since b4 it was known as "clickbait", and also is par for the course on any engagement-driven public space... there's only a couple of differences between old days and nowadays: more people overall, and more control overall... do you really need to address this "clickbait" issue to "help combat" it? I don't think so, for the 2 reasons I just mentioned... but I'll elaborate:
1- there are too many people, both CCs and viewers, and unless you have enough "traction" yourself you are unlikely to make a difference pleading either side... (people are unlikely to change their minds over the subject anyways, although I reckon you get the interaction from them + people who arrived here due to the topic itself, so really, there's nothing "noble" about "talking" ethics here even if that's your true goal)
2- there are tools so whatever viewers deem not worthy they can filter out... (cloudplays whatever has been that way since his start really/probably, and know what I did? I've blocked his channel YEARS ago... and you know when does he pop back into my feed??? albeit indirectly, every time a CCs who I actually am interested in decides to "address" his channel/content, so I guess he should, kinda, thank, maybe, all the people who are helping him break through the "blockade", geez)
now, obviously this is just my opinion, and if you mostly do this type of content (addressing whatever community's issues you deem worthy, for mostly "ethical reasons", but also some capitalizing on the side, cuz why not?) fine... but if you fall into the "meta whatever" rabbit hole I'll block your channel and will be very unlikely you pop back in my feed as long as you don't become as famous or notorious enough to become a topic of discussion yourself...
and remember this: the very best action against those you dislike, specially in the like of YT and whatnot, is to ignore them... engagement good or bad, still engagement and the ultimate goal...
The AI art thumbnails is a spit in the face to the actual human artists that work on helldivers 2.
Appears I am addicted to click bait.
